Kim Jiwoo was born in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on April 13, 2005. She as an older sister born in 2001. She attended Yangjeong Middle School and Guri Girls’ High School. She later majored in entertainment in Hanlim Multi Arts School.
She used to be a student at DASTREET Dance and joined JYP Entertainment in 2018.
iwoo appeared in JYP Trainee Mini Showcase 2019 alongside Lily, Haewon, Jinni, Bae, and Kyujin.
On August 6, 2021, Jiwoo, along with Jinni and Kyujin, were revealed as the first three members of NMIXX through a dance performance video.

Sitting against the edge of the concrete rubble that was in front of him, Acheron struggled to come to terms with everything that had happened over the course of the last few days. Through his rebirth, and leaving the Underworld behind him once more, he had managed to find his way into a brand new body once more. This time, the body looked nothing like his original body. Black hair with silver highlights hung down in the front, just barely brushing across his face. The people that surrounded him spoke in a language that was different from his native tongue of Greek, and different from the English that he had come to know and speak over the last few hundred years.
A single breath of fresh air escaped past his lips which were pressed together into a thin line. A single line of crimson painted his otherwise pale lips, the single line of crimson was a bead of blood that had come from him biting at his lip. Not that he noticed he was doing it, which probably meant that it was a habit or a nervous tick that came from the previous owner of this particular body.
Still, if anything good had come from the endless appearance of the last few days, he had managed to make a friend in a lady named Kim Ji-Woo. Someone that he had quickly come to count on, despite the betrayal that had struck him in the past. His only concern, was that he wasn't entirely used to be being blind to the world, his eyes were normally able to catch the fate of others, that is unless they had something to do with his life, and were an integral part in his life.

That was the sole thought that had crossed his mind upon meeting her. Still, trusting her, and being there for her, had come to be one of the best choices that he had made in his exceedingly long life. The sight of her auburn hair, and the smile that appeared upon her lips brought nothing but a smile to his lips, and a pink tint to his cheeks. Simple things like that, made all the difference to him. Even to his heart, which seemed to race with concern, affection, and a slew of other unknown emotions to him.
His first life, had brought him a whole host of problems, but now, he didn't seem to possess the same issues. Instead, he was brought new concerns, the life of being an idol. Something he was quickly learning, could be both a blessing and a royal pain in his ass.
Slapping his hand against his face, Acheron sighed to himself for a quick moment, a smile placing itself over his face, as his silver orbs stared down at the clock that adorned his left wrist. The numbers that beeped at him, told him that it was almost time for the date that had been planned since the two of them had met. Life was busy, but never was it too busy, to take a break, and do something a bit more exciting.
His silver orbs faded, a blackish-brown color quickly taking the place of the silver swirl. The only sign that it was there, was in the ringlettes at the end of the his iris'. Something he had always been unable to hide. The sunglasses that adorned his face, almost seemed to look awkward whenever he saw his reflection. His body may have changed, but the sensations never really changed that much.
Glancing up finally, and paying attention to the crowd of people around him, he hoped to finally lay eyes on the person that he had made plans with. Wondering what the day had in store for the two of them, especially since he had left it to her to decide. The unknown always played tricks with him though, causing his anxiety to spike.
