nine facts.

Caroline’s first collection was called “Life’s a drag” and it was dedicated to her adoptive parent Daniel “Kat Atomic” McCook. It featured elements, colors, textures and fabrics from some of Kat’s more iconic looks that Caroline designed for Drag Race.

Caroline has never gotten her drivers license or learned to drive. Abel is teaching her though, and maybe one day she’ll have the courage to take on the streets behind the wheel.

Caroline’s favorite album is “The Dance” by Fleetwood Mac and her favorite song of all time is “Silver Springs.” *aside from anything that is made by her boyfriend, she’s his biggest fan.

She has a terrible sleep schedule, and will often get up in the middle of the night to tackle projects that she didn’t get done during the day, resulting in the fact that she needs a nap during the day or turns into a monster.

Caroline’s favorite movie is “The Wedding Singer”, and is very starstruck by Adam Sandler despite her boyfriend knowing him personally and that she’s been able to talk to him a few times. She freaking loves Adam Sandler.

Since the beginning of last year, Caroline has been dealing with a stalker that sends her dead roses and other terribly creepy presents. She found photos of herself sleeping on her phone that her friends swear they didn’t take and was attacked by him waiting in her closet. He still hasn’t been caught but since moving in with her boyfriend things have slowed down.

Caroline’s favorite food is waffles and she wants to eat them at any time of the day. She has quite a sweet tooth.

She’s terrified of spiders and it will send her into a full blown panic attack.

Caroline has zero contact with her biological father and has no plans to rekindle that relationship or lack thereof.

cosmo. april.

I’ve heard you say that designing for your brand “xoline” is where your true passion is. Can you tell us about your love for fashion and some of your biggest inspirations?
Designing and making clothes has always been a part of my life. I got a sewing machine for Christmas on my eighth birthday, and I’ve been making clothes ever since. At first I was making clothes for my American Girl doll, and then I started making clothes for myself. I’ve always loved the self expression that comes with clothes, you can say so much with just picking what you wear. You can let the world know and think anything you want based on a well crafted outfit. I love the entire process from the idea, to the sketch, to the fabric samples, all the way until manufacturing. There’s just something about being able to create something I’ve seen in my head to be able to see it and hold it, you know? I get so much inspiration from basically anywhere, and I like to create collections that are a bit out of my comfort zone. Lately, I’ve been hella into seventies and eighties vibes, I’m obsessed with Stevie Nicks. She’s my hero in all aspects of things, and I’ve been finding myself wanting more flowy, leather and lace type vibes.

Your collections are always very different, is that something that you intend to do or it just happens?
I like to launch exclusive collections because it means I can focus on wherever my inspiration is at the thing. I also know that everyone is different and I really want to try to make something for everyone. Every shape, size, gender, taste, whatever, I want xoline to be a safe place where everyone feels included.

You just recently dropped a collection with your best friend and co-creator of the infamous “Haus of Clout”, was that something that you’ve always wanted to do?
Yes. Not only is Roxy gorgeous, like she looks like she walked right off the runway, but our style couldn’t really be more different. Roxy loves that punk rock edgy type of vibe, but when she wears it she just looks so freaking cool and somehow still polished, so I wanted to create something that was both of us. I wanted to take our styles that couldn’t be more different and throw it in a blender and create something special. Plus, I love working with Roxy, she’s amazing, so I had the idea and pitched it to her and she was in.

How do you maintain such a close relationship with her while running what some people would call an empire? Do you ever fight over opportunities?
Absolutely not, I think the one thing that we do really well is that we’re best friends first and business partners second. We didn’t do any of the creating with a plan of being famous or making money, we did it because we’re so deeply creative people that we needed outlets to do so and we’re more creative together than apart. We don’t fight over opportunities, we’re happy for each other. We want each other to succeed because we love each other, and she’s my person. She’s always been my person, and she’ll always be my person.

This age of social media has blurred the lines between you and your fans, how do you deal with people thinking because they’ve watched your tik tok that they really know you?
It’s a weird balance, I think. I’ve never wanted to be someone I wasn’t on the internet for views. Since I was adopted by Kat, I’ve been taught to love myself first and that I shouldn’t hide or change things about myself to fit in, or get more likes. Over and over, Kat has always quoted Ru Paul and reminded me “if you don’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” and that’s always stuck with me. So, in a way, they do know me as well as they think they do, but I think people forget sometimes that they’re only seeing what I choose to post, but I love my fans and I’m glad they feel so passionately about it even if sometimes I wish there was more privacy.

You say that you sometimes wish there was more privacy, you’ve always been very public with your relationships, especially your current relationship with The Weeknd, do you regret not keeping it a secret?
Absolutely not, that’s no way to have a relationship. I am so happy in my relationship, so of course I post about it, and it wouldn’t be authentic in sharing my life if it didn’t involve the love of it.

So, you never have any moments where the media has messed with your relationships?
Previously? In other relationships, yeah, the media has caused chaos in those relationships. It’s hard because everyone has an opinion and it’s so easy to paint narratives that are false. But with Abel? No. I mean, it’s not for lack of trying, there’s been photos posted of Abel saying hi to an old friend when I was in the bathroom and “he’s cheating!” but they just didn’t include any of the ones of us together. Abel and I are just really respectful when it comes to each other, and there’s nothing but trust. I think that’s just part of meeting the right person.

Everyone talks about the red flags, but what are some of your green flags?
I think the biggest green flag is when someone isn’t secretive with their phone. Especially when you can tell it’s because they have nothing to hide. It’s such a /red/ flag when someone lays their phone down screen side down, you know? Or jumps when they get a text. Other green flags would be…someone who listens when you talk, someone who’s aware of their love language, has a good relationship with his mom, someone who’s like a grown ass man and handles their sh*t, you know? Trust, of course, you can’t build a relationship without that.

You’re launching a brand new podcast, can you give us the scoop on who might be coming to visit for an interview?
Um, without giving too much away, I begged Abel to do it and he said yes. Obviously, Roxy will be featured because I don’t do anything without my best friend. Kat and I will be answering some hard questions. I can’t say anything more, but you’ll just have to be on the lookout for “Tequila in Teacups.”

What advice to give other young women who want to follow in your success?
I think the most important thing about social media is that you need to do three things. One: Be yourself. People don’t want to watch someone that isn’t authentic to themselves. Remember who you are, and remember that who you are is more than enough. Number two, make sure that there’s some passion there. Like for me it’s clothes, I love clothes, my content has always featured designing and styling, because that’s when I’m most myself. Or like for Roxy, she’s always featured music as a huge chunk of her content. And three, you have to sort of get over yourself and remember to have fun, try new things, and don’t let the fear of someone saying something…because someone isn’t going to like it and have plenty of things to say. I think that’s my best advice, and of course, you’ve gotta work at it.

drew barrymore.

Drew: One of our next guests, is one the biggest social media stars right now, a brand owner who started while she was in her second year of college, and all around sweetheart, Caroline Wilkins is here, and I’m so excited to have a conversation with her.

Drew: How did you, like, get the confidence to put yourself out there on social media like that?
Caroline: When I started Social Media, I was living with Katya at the time, and it’s not hard to find confidence in living with a drag queen. She was the reason I gained followers, people were fascinated by this dynamic between us as friends. So, I think that if I would’ve just been in school, I wouldn’t have even started posting other than the average, “hi this is my face” on instagram selfie.

Drew: Which part of your “brand” I brand but I mean career, do you feel is the most authentic part of yourself? Is it more the social media you, or the business side of things?
Caroline: Um, I wouldn’t say that the business side of things is most me because I suck at that side of things, I have no idea how to do the taxes. I think probably my most authentic self is designing. This whole thing started with me just making clothes for my friends and projects in school to have a whole brand that just keeps exploding. So, I don’t want to ever lose that part of it.
Drew: Fans are incredibly obsessed with your social media, especially the back and forth between you and your boyfriend, The Weeknd. I’ve seen so many tweets about people just gushing on how cute “#abeline” is.  You recently went to Rome, and moved in together, are you so happy?

Caroline; Oh, my goodness, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. It’s really special to have met my soulmate, and just be super in love. It’s nice to have that person that loves you and cares about you, would go to the ends of the earth kind of thing.  But yeah, we did a little after christmas trip in Rome and then I moved in with him when we got back. We’re really happy.”

Drew: I think fans are especially loving that you guys seem to do, like, normal couple things. Like this journey of watching all the Marvel movies.
Caroline: I had never seen them, so we’ve been watching one a night before bed and it’s been really fun. I mean, the movies are incredible, but it’s also night to have that time to decompress with my boo thang. But he really likes to roast me on twitter during these movies.
Drew: What’s it like living with The Weeknd? I feel like he could be kinda crazy to live with?
Caroline: I mean, he’s really easy to live with but like, crazy does happen. Oh my god, he’s probably going to kill me for telling this story…
Drew: Well, now you have to tell it, I’m dying here.
Caroline: Okay, okay. One day, we’d been kinda busy, he was working on the album, and I was in the office. Anyway, I had gotten home kinda late, and I was looking around for Abel. I’m like, okay I guess he’s in bed, whatever, I go upstairs, I'm just walking along and I get to our room and I can see the bathroom lights on. I’m like, cool, shower…s— I mean, yay, getting clean, anyway, I open the door…

Caroline: “and abel is completely naked…except for the old man prosthetics, you know, from the album and stuff, and I’m like just standing there staring at him, and I don’t know what to do because I’m so shocked, like if he wasn’t naked, I wouldn’t know it was him!! I just like backed out of the door and took two tequila shots.
Drew: WHAT! Just naked with…that face?
Caroline: Yup, and I literally just couldn’t deal.
Drew: So, what did you do? Was he like taking it off? Did you scream and ask for a warning next time?
Caroline: I just went to bed and when he finally came, to snuggle, we’re snugglers. I say, “Goodnight Granddaddy.”

Drew: Did he like….like it? Or was it like a laugh?
Caroline: He hates it when I call him “granddaddy.” But like, he’s the one walking around looking like a elderly sugar daddy. What am I supposed to do?
Drew: And you’re launching a new project coming up, right?
Caroline: Yes! I’m launching a perfume collection, I’m starting with Crave by…Caroline, me, obviously. I wanted to create a line of perfume that’s vegan, not only cruelty free but animal friendly, because we obviously have pets, a lot of things can be toxic for our furry friends, but I also wanted it to be all natural but still make you feel sexy, and confident. Alluring anyway. So, Crave is the first scent I’m launching. I have more coming, all in sort of different moods when I feel my best, like “Cudde by Caroline” will be next with a more relaxing vibe, but I’m really excited.
Drew: And you brought some to share, and the bottle is really unique, right?
Caroline: Yes, it changes color with body heat, so like as your mood heats up, the bottle does too. It’s very 90’s, y2k with the mood ring vibe.

Drew: I think that’s such a cute design really, and honestly, it smells really good, you should all pick it up when it launches, february 1st, that’s the date right?
Caroline: Yep! You can purchase Crave on February 1st on my website!
Drew: thank you so much for visiting, this was super fun and you’re such a sweetheart.
Caroline: No, oh my goodness, thank youuu!

what's in my..

what's on your vanity?

I keep whatever makeup routine I’m loving on my vanity, my go to products that I can’t live without, makeup brushes, a ring light in case I want to film, and another phone charger. My phone is always dying.

what's in your purse/bag?
Everything. I can’t live without it. Can we just have a second for the sexiest of bags ever? It was a christmas present from my boyfriend, her name is phoebe, which if you didn't know means perfection, Anyway, now that we've given her the respect she deserves. Here's what's in it; I have a makeup bag filled with my favorite products in case I need a touch up, a phone charger, my ipad in case I decide I need to design on the go, medicine, a planner, snacks, treats for the dogs, you know, dog mom life, some receipts, my wallet, probably like forty seven chapsticks, sometimes even a change of clothes could be found shoved in here somehow, I’m a purse hoarder and I need an intervention.

what's in your wallet?
My ID, because you know ya girl gets carded all the time even though I’m twenty five, credit cards, abel’s credit card, shhh, cash, various store reward cards, receipts, you know, normal things.

what's in your room?
I really feel like people expect me to be like “a sex swing, the red room of pain from fifty shades of grey, or a well dressed llama”, because people love to like assume some crazy sh*t, but it’s a regular bedroom with regular bedroom things, like a bed, some nightstands, a tv, a super hot boyfriend, you know, bedroom things. Art. Private things, um, A tv for movies, because I can never sleep, but the closet is really my favorite place. And we keep our sex swing downstairs, anyway.

what's in/on your nightstand?
On it, there’s a phone charger, a framed photo, I’m really sentimental like that.I brought this from our bedroom to show you guys, if you want to comment about how much of a sap I am, that's fine, I totally know. Also, Whatever book that I’m reading at the time. Inside the nightstand, I just keep a lip mask, some tylenol just in case, airpods, a little jewelry dish in case I feel the need to take something off so that we keep it save and the cat doesn’t eat it, makeup wipes, I know they’re terrible for your skin, but sometimes I’m sleepy and something is better than nothing. Hand cream. Lotion. I think that’s it but I”m sure there’s some other things hidden in there.

what's in your bathroom?
Skincare! A shower, and a bath, obviously, I’m usually really good about taking care of my skin so I keep all of that in my skincare fridge in the bathroom. Medicine. I keep most of my hoard of beauty things in my beauty room, so if it’s in our room or bathroom, these are my all time favorite things. A cat bed, just in case Goose decides he needs a little kitty cat slumber when I’m in the bath, candles, bubble bath things that I keep under the sink, I love to take bubble baths. So, yeah, I think that’s about it.

what's in your medicine cabinet?
Contacts. Solution. Medicine. Cocaine, probably.

what's in your fridge?
I found myself on cleantok, which is like clean tik tok, so our fridge is really organized in those clear bins that like really aesthetic and perfect girls have in there. So, we have fruits and veggies, and soda, and whatever we’re feeling for dinners that week. We both really like to cook, so we cook a lot. Which is really fun. We have snacks, and wine, tons of wine, we can’t go without the wine.

what's on your phone?
Again, everything. Tons of photos of the pets and Abel, he’s so f***ing cute I can never stop taking photos, work stuff, texts, some spicy photos that I won’t show you, tons of music, and books because i love to read on the go, audiobooks, too. I get sucked into apps easily, so plenty that I don’t use, my calendar, lists, whatever. I also really secretly love playing the kardashian game, and if you’re wondering I'm a B list celebrity and I’m so bad about spending real money on this game.

what's in your closet?
Clothes! Obviously, even though I’m a hot ass mess, our closet is really organized because I believe clothes deserve respect. So, clothes, shoes and jewelry, and also a lot of my favorite bags will be in our closet and the others I put in the closet in the office, but I like to be able to ensure that my shoes are safe. I’m such a shoe person. Also, Abel’s really impressive jewelry collection. You should see the rings he has, ugh, perfection.I'm too lazy to film in there, but enjoy a selfie we took...somewhere over here.

what's in your glove department?
I haven't a clue, I’ve never learned to drive, but I’m going to learn soon since Abel bought me a I've been too scared to learn, but maybe, soon? car. Right now I just stare at it and sit in the driver’s seat and make race car noises.

what's in you pockets?
I would say I have no pockets but I made this dress, and it does have pockets and right now all I have in it is goldfish because I was having a snack before I filmed this. But that was something important to me when I created my brand was to fix the needs that society has told women that we don’t need, like pockets, or comfortable clothing, or clothing that made us feel good. So, I don’t know, subtle plug, I guess?

what's on your mind right now?
Disney World! I'm planning a trip, and I'm so excited, watch out for the cutest of couple t shirts.

//i've seen a bunch of these but here's the first one i saw for credit ophelia.
