Speak To Me Drabble #11
Current mood:  accomplished

Months had gone by since Sonja last talked to Lucian, knowing now in her heart that he was truly gone forever. Standing by the edge of the woods her brown eyes looking up to the full moon, a smile krept across her face taking a deep breath before the welds in her eyes could turn to tears. "Please my love be safe.." She said in a whisper not talking about her now decesed husband Lucian, but to her long lost husband Jacob. Sonja knew in her heart that Jacob was still alive somewhere in the world, she just didn't know where he had been gone for many years due to the war raging between the world years ago. Her heart hoping that he was alive, even though she knew her heart would possibly be wrong. The war between Russia and the Ukraine had taken her husband onto the field, although Jacob hadn't served in years. To Sonja it was a suicide misson that had been bruing for a centery.

As the wind blew around her she sighed, hearing the lycans to her left she stared at the full moon. Her voice a whisper as she spoke, "Jacob my love please speak to me, come home to your family." Sonja said before closing her eyes. The chill from the winter air cut the skies like the sharpest sword, but that's not what bothered her. Hearing the lycans getting closer and closer to her, Sonja held her hand out before her. Her heart racing as she blindly waited for him, hearing one of the lycans reaching out to grab her. Before the animal could sink their claws into her Sonja was whipped around, only then feeling his arm sround her did she look up to him. Her husband pulling her behind him as she watched him with the lycans, seeing him holding out a rifle with silver bullets loaded into the chamber. Her brown eyes turning to the ice blue as she looked up at her husband, watching him talk to the lycans as he gently walked the both of them backwards towards the house. Sonja hoped the animals would retreat back towards their cave, she didn't want any harm to come to her husband nor their children.

Walking back to the house Jacob talked to his wife about the things he had seen while being away, things that shocked him; tormented him; and changed his whole perspective about the war. Listening Sonja held onto his arm keeping him close to her, she hadn't seen her husband in years. To her she thought he had died all those years ago, now knowing that he was alive calmed her, she didn't notice that she was on edge this entire time until now. For years she hoped for this moment, not knowing how her husband would feel about their children being full grown now. Sonja knew if her husband was still as protective as he was with her, he'd be the same with his children. Sonja was excited for her husband to see his daughter Elizabeth again, she knew Liza was the reason he took on the war to make sure they would be safe and taken care of..

Bleed/Memories #10
Current mood:  accomplished

It had been months since Sonja and Lucian had gotten back together, now remarried and as happy as she could ever be. Hearing her children laugh and run throughout her house as a smile plastered across her face, little Alaric and Kali playing hide and seek with Elizabeth and Jerick. Even though her two oldest were grown adults now, they still played like children with their siblings. Sonja just shook her head with a smile as she burried her mind back into the book she was reading, it was about a girl who had ran away to be with the love of her life. Sonja had tried to do the same thing eight-hundred years ago, even though hers hadn't gone to plan she was intruiged on how this book was going to go. The year was now 2023, Alaric had just turned 41 and her daughter Kali had turned 23. Still children in her eyes even though they were techincally full grown adults, but Sonja just smiled watching all four of her babies playing with eachother.

As she sat there focused in on her book, finally turning to chapter twelve her phone had buzzed. Sonja's brow furrowed as she looked over to it as the screen went black, curousily she tapped on her Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max seeing the screen light back up. A gasp escaped her throat as a text hovered before the background of her and her husband Lucian, a message from a number she didn't recognize. Hesitant on opening it she took a breath, seeing the message she locked her phone making sure noone was around her before responding. As she sat there reading the text message she read it in her mind, "Sonja my love I need you, I am dying and I know you probably don't care as you are now remarried to that wolf. But Cara Mia I need you, I can't do this alone, I am scared and I want you and my children with me. Please, I got your number from Luka I couldn't help but talk to you." seeing te message sent Sonja's head spirling, she couldn't read her own thoughts correctly, does she respond or does she ignore it completely? As she thought that to herself another message came through, "If you can't because you are around Lucian, or if it's because you just don't want to talk I understand." As she sat there biting her lip she closed her eyes tight and took a shot of bourbon.

Sonja sat there with  her hands in her hair repeating herself over and over again, "It's not what it seems, not what you think, no I must be dreaming. It's only in my mind, not real life, no I must be dreaming." her nails digging into her palms as the blood pouls around her fingernails, she kept saying the montra over and over again in her mind. Deleting the messages as fast as her bloodly fingers could hit the cellular device as her body shook from ptsd and trama, Sonja couldn't let him back in. She forbid herself for ever speaking to her ex-husband, she had to keep herself and her family safe. Her finger hovered over the block button as another message came through, "Sonja please I can't do this without you..." she shook her head knowing he had more to say but she couldn't put her children through that, she couldn't put her husband throught that. Shaking her head as her waves fell around her face she hit the block button before another one of his messages could come through, Sonja wouldn't put herself through that pain again. Not from Jacob, his pain was too much for her body and mind to deal with anymore.

Memories started flooding her mind, Sonja shook her head trying to fade them away. Anything she tried he still showed in her mind. Her tears started to fall, her tears falling down her cheeks as she imagined him standing infront of her. "I'm so sorry my love but I can't do this, I love you with my heart and soul but I can not be with you anymore. It breaks me every day, but my husband puts me back together. Lucian makes me whole again, I can't do this back and forth with you anymore Jacob you're breaking my sanity." Sonja said aloud but quietly so her babies couldn't hear her. putting her head down with her eyes closed tight hoping he would go away when she opened them, "I asked the gods to make you see we weren't a good fit, I do not understand why you are still trying darling, I love you with everything I have but it will not work between us. You're better off with the new woman you are with, I will always love you my love, maybe in another life we could try again." She said before opening her eyes and looking back up, seeing his apparition gone from her livingroom and only hearing her children running around giggling. Sonja wiped her tears away just before her husband Lucian walked through the front door, running to the kitchen to start dinner as to keep him busy from looking at her blue hues.

Apparition #9
Current mood:  accomplished

As the crisp autumn air had settled into the sunset night the squeals of Elizabeth and Jerick could be heard in the silent forest that surrounded the house, her two children so happy in that moment as they played with their aunt Luka. Elizabeth staying very close to her father as she studied him, watching how he reacted to her mother knowing the differences between her brother's father and her own father. Sonja sat there debating on telling her husband that the child she was pregnant with all those centuries ago was sitting right there beside him, but she didn’t say anything sitting there just looking into his hazel eyes as she looked down at her glass. As Lucian had spoken it pulled her out of a memory that played in her head as she looked up at him, “What my love I am sorry my mind was somewhere else at the moment.” she said hoping he wouldn’t be upset with her. Lucian had just smiled back to her curious on where her mind had lead her but decided not to badger her about it instead he asked his question again, “I was just wondering on if you were okay especially after what your father had done, I know you are alive and well but I do worry about you still to this day.” his words hitting her like a brick wall as she looked over to their daughter then back to him.

Moments had passed that felt like eternity but what only came out to a few seconds before she spoke, “I am fine and well as are the children, Elizabeth here is curious about you after all.” leaning her head against the back of the couch. Seeing Lucians reaction to what she just said had her looking over at them intently before a laugh escaped her, “Lucian my love she is your daughter after all, that is why she is so intent on sitting so close to you.” biting down on her lip to silence a laugh as she watched them look to each other her husband shocked but their daughter calm as she had already told Elizabeth the truth. Seeing her husband look from herself to their daughter as she couldn’t help but giggle, “Lucian my love it is true miss Elizabeth Moon Corvinus is in fact your blood daughter.” as she felt his arms wrap around her, she melted feeling safe like she always had with him. Feeling his grip slightly tighten not to harm her but as to keep her next to him, all Sonja could do was lay her head down on his shoulder her hand gently ruffling his hair.

A few hours had passed as they all sat in the living room now, Sonja looked around examining what everyone was doing. Her son Jerick showing his aunt all his guns he had collected over the years, no matter if it was shotguns or anything up to a sword like what his mother carried he was always interested in the way of firearms and swordsmanship. Seeing how enthusiast her best friend was with her son Sonja changed her view and focused on her husband and their daughter, watching Liza show her father all her little books she had collected and even some crystals. Gazing upon her husband not wanting to look away thinking all to herself that this was but a dream, a toy per say that her mind was playing with just for her not knowing if it was reality or something of a daydream. Lucian looking right up to her, their eyes locking with one another as Sonja looked down to her hands that her wine glass was in, her hues going from brown to ice blue then back as it messed with her. Before she could do or say anything his arm was around her side pulling her closer to him, it’s as if he knew what her mind was up to before she could even reiterate on what it was doing to her.

As the full moon shone over the lake Sonja couldn’t help but wonder outside just to gaze upon its glory, it was the first time in seven hundred years that she had really felt herself. Seeing the night sky was something she really hadn’t thought of in a very long time, not to mention that she really didn’t hide from the sunlight. Standing there she couldn’t help but smile, all the times that she had hid away from the moon in fear of the Lycans or just because the sun felt warm to her. The silent night only had a few wild life noises, the steps of deer making their way as they crushed leaves under their hooves; to the crickets making their little night songs they always did every night. The smell of fresh dew on the ground her brown eyes looking into the moon, Sonja silently thanking it as if it brought her husband back to her. Hearing the wolves howling in the night made her slightly jump yet smile knowing they were still on the lookout, always keeping an eye open just as Lucian had asked them to. “Keep us safe, always notify me if anyone and I do mean if anyone tries to come near our house here in the woods.” He didn’t say it out loud but Sonja knew who he was talking about, keeping it to herself and not letting the children know was in the best interest especially since Elizabeth just started to trust her own father after all. She just stood there holding her pendant in one hand as the sounds of the night engulfed her, feeling his arms around her all she could do was smile. Leaning her head back against his chest as she looked up at him, smiling and curious her hand reached up and gently caressed his cheek.

As the moon chased the clouds from the east over to the west they sat there by a tree, watching the small waves in the lake skim over the top. Looking up to her husband she asked a lightly worrying question, “Lucian... Did you ever know the Lycans were around my house?” seeing that her question puzzled him for a moment she asked it in a different light, “I mean did you know they were hunting a vampire family?” seeing his reaction soften had her raising her own brow. Her eyes searching his once he looked down to her their eyes locking to one another before he spoke, “They had told me they found a vampire family, one that was just a mother and her two children.” he stopped for a moment to think on how to go about this before taking a breath. “They told me about a vampire family, and that one of the children didn’t smell or act fully like a vampire. That something was off about the child but they couldn’t put their finger on what it was.” he said now taking his gaze back to the lake. Sonja studied his face for a moment before her mouth dropped open raising a brow to him, “You were looking for me weren’t you, even after all those centuries you never lost hope.” as she spoke, she seen the sly smile that now shone on her husband's face. Lucian was indeed actively looking for her even after the seven hundred years of them being apart, he never gave up hope that she was alive.

Before The End Part 1 #7

It was August 9th of 2015 when the waves crashed against the hull of the ship, the sunrise just over the horizon seemingly coming over the vast ocean and all its glory. Standing there seeing her crew doing rounds of training as she stood there, hot tea in hand as the morning chill started to dissipate.  Hearing the men and women as she smiled sipping her tea, her husband still in his quarters finishing paperwork and plans as she waited on him. “Just a few moments my love” He had told her just a bit ago, trying to talk her into taking at least a jacket with her, “It will be freezing out there, I don’t want you getting too cold.” Jacob had said trying to get his wife to listen to him, but just as stubborn as Sonja had ever been she brushed it off holding up her glass of tea. “It’s hot tea my love, I won’t become too cold.” she stated holding her glass up with a small smile, “Besides if I do get cold, you should be out there by then to keep me warm you know this.” shaking his head Jacob smiled waving off his wife “Alright but don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Before he could even finish, she was out the door heading down the small walkway with her cup.

Walking past a few mates as she nods and says her hellos one girl in particular stops her for a moment, “Major can you come here for a second I need to show you something I’ve been working on if you don’t mind.” Stopping in her tracks Sonja looked at the girl known as Kara as she smiled lightly, “Of course what is it Kara?” seeing the girls face light up as she turned back into her room suggesting Sonja to follow her as she stops at a desk, unravelling a pouch showing multiple sniper bullets laying out. Looking at them Sonja picking one up holding it in her hand as she studied it, the engravings on it and the weight as she smiled handing it back. Kara took it gently as she laid it back down, “What do you think Mrs.?”  Taking a sip of her tea before answering Sonja nodded politely, “It has a fantastic weight to it, and the engravings should cut through the wind at great speeds.” Sonja said as she put a hand on Karas’ shoulder, “Great job they should do fine, make sure we have enough saved for practice and for combat if it should come down to it.” Turning on her feet as she walked away happily making her way to the deck.  Moving past a few people as she stopped and smiled to them seeing Danny and Burk heading to the bridge and Mike with Ken as they tried to decide on who had the bigger mug of coffee, all Sonja could do was shake her head at the two sailors. Seeing Alisha and Andrea heading out the same door as she tried to not speed up her walking still trying to hide that she was a vampire to all the humans on the ship, “Pardon me can you hold that open for just a moment?” seeing both the females patiently waiting on her to catch up with them.

Tying her hair up into a loose half up half down look, her little fringe blowing in the gentle breeze as she stood there. Some of the sailors do rounds, others play a game of basketball in the cool morning before having to do their daily tasks. Watching the sun gently rise over the horizon as she feels a hand gently grab her side pulling her close to them smiling she tilted her head back looking up at her husband, “What is it my love?” she asked before looking out to see the seagulls. Hearing his voice she smiled leaning her head up against his chest, “We should make landfall soon the coast of England is right over there.” Watching his arm point to the east as she smiled, “We are about 20 meters out till we hit the shoreline, we need to gather some supplies then we will head out towards Russia and Japan.” Hearing his words she raised a brow looking up at him, her brown eyes looking into his blue gaze as she smiled. Curiosity piqued her interest as she looked up at him, “What could we possibly need in Japan and Russia that we don’t already have here?” she asked not expecting the answer she ended up giggling at what he said. “Flowers? Jacob that’s ridiculous, we do not need flowers where would we even put them?” with a smile Jacob shook his head before kissing the top of her head, “My love by our bed of course silly woman.” rolling her eyes at him before giggling as they enjoyed the sunrise.

Later that evening the ship had gotten a radio signal from the west, as Mike ran to get Sonja and her husband knowing they’d want to hear it too. As he rushed into their quarters Sonja held a book in her hand while the kids were getting a bedtime story from their father, hearing the door open abruptly she looked up at Mike holding a finger up silencing him as her husband finished the story before exiting the children's room. Mike was the only one on this ship who knew of Sonja and Jacobs' secret they held from the rest of the crew, keeping his voice silent as he knew they would hear his words as he told them about the radio transmission they had picked up. “What do you mean it cut off abruptly, where did the signal come from and how long ago?” Jacob had asked Mike as they walked down the corridors of the ship heading to the signal room, “Not long ago maybe ten minutes or so, the signal was weak but shown from the west near the USA.” Mike said as they turned a corner, silencing themselves as they walked past some crew who were cleaning off tables for morning. Entering the dark room seeing only a few computers and televisions turned on lighting up a small part of the room as a voice gently went in at out of some headphones, Jacob sat down and put them on listening to the voice echoing into them.

After a while of listening to the voices all Jacob could do was smile and shake his head, looking up to his wife and friend before clearing his voice. “What do you mean it’s from a movie?” Mike questioned Jacobs' logistics and theory, as Sonja just sat there and smiled. Shaking her head hearing the movie quotes as she sat back running a hand through her hair, “It’s from an old war movie back in the early 1900s I don’t remember the name of it, but Jacob had a whole bunch of them back at our house.” trying not to laugh as she sat there. Seeing her husband laugh as the short movie ended and started back up shaking his head, “The movie is only about 10 minutes long so they must have it on a loop playing over and over again, nothing to be afraid of XO just a little fun the humankind is having.” He stated before taking a sip of his coffee, completely having a bit of fun himself seeing Mikes shocked expression turn into a not so fun one. Changing the station hearing some music coming through as they all smiled hearing the soothing voice before Sonja stood up getting ready to head back to the room, she stood there holding her hand out waiting for her husband to take it knowing they had a big day in the morning.

Vore Drabble #6
Current mood:  accomplished

Sonja looked down after seeing her son with the firearm at his side, gently pulling Elizabeth closer to her just for a moment if they needed to take off running from the pack. Watching all the lycans as a few had backed down like Lucian had said, others still debating on what to do with the newly found vampires before them; Do they kill the little vampire family, disobeying their leader? Or do they listen to the man who has saved their lives time and time again? Watching the Lycans finally relax Sonja gently took Lucians’ hand in hers before standing up slowly making sure her daughter was at her side so she could protect her, looking over to her son nodding that it was safe for him at the moment. Her nose gently crinkling as a cold snowflake landed on it, the chill of the flake not bothering Sonja more than she wasn’t expecting it. Seeing the lycans one by one leaving the clearing between the tree lines, knowing her son was safe she allowed him to leave the comfort of the house to meet her lover and best friends. “Jerick my love it’s safe, you can come out to say hello now if you would like to.” Watching her son fidget for a moment seeing his reaction knowing he was very protective of her and his sister she held out her hand for him, “My love it’s okay we are safe, they aren’t going to hurt you I promise.” Jericks’ eyes going from the brown natural color to the blue that the vampires had as he questioned his mother, “How can you be so sure that they won’t attack like the others would have?” Sonja sighed as she looked to her husband nodding knowing he would protect Elizabeth with his entire being, walking over towards the house as she held her hand out to her son hoping he would trust her and take it.

Walking back towards the others Sonja noticed her son staying very close to her, as if he was trying to protect her from someone. Trying to reassure her son that nothing bad was going to happen, gently squeezing his arm as if to take the edge off the odd situation. Feeling the sun starting to rise in the east as they walked, Jerick looking to his mother then to the man and woman with his sister. Sonja smiled lightly knowing the sun was about to gently come over the mountain peaks her brown eyes now going to the blue as she looks to Lucian, Luka, and her daughter; “Come let's get inside before the sun comes over the mountains, I don’t need my best friend burning up now do I?” she said with a soft smile. Watching her daughter run back to the house knowing that her two children weren’t bothered by the sunlight like her friend was, seeing them running to seek shelter from the rays as Sonja stood there knowing that Lucian was about to run to her. Jerick ran to open the door for everyone as Luka and Elizabeth ran past him, her daughter giggling thinking that it was but a game of tag. Even though Elizabeth was over two hundred years old, the child still loved the company and the games they could play. Sonja standing there before the sunlight could even touch her skin, feeling a gush of wind now knowing her love was standing there before her as if to shield her from its rays of light; feeling his arms fold around her all she could do was smile.

“Sonja what are you thinking!” Hearing his tone she looked up at him, raising a brow seeing the worried look on his face before smiling lightly. “You are going to burn you know this, how can you just stand out here? I just got you back, I don’t want to lose you again.” Hearing the fear in his voice she looked up at him, the small smile she held now fading seeing he was genuinely afraid of her dying again right before his eyes. Sighing as she took a few steps back seeing the rays of sunlight to her right as she smiled lightly, extending her right arm as the light cascaded around it. Looking back to her husband seeing the complete shock plastered all over his face she couldn’t help but laugh, “My love I do not burn like I used to from the suns brilliance, it no longer has a hold over me.” Sonja said so matter oh  factly watching, her husband’s reaction going from desperate and terrified as it relaxes, a smile appearing on his face. As they stood their leaves falling from the trees and little snow flurries following the leaves they stood there, silent as if it were a dream a long-awaited dream. Putting a hand on his chest she felt him gently squeeze her hand as if a reassuring gesture that she wasn’t dreaming all of this up, just her imagination playing tricks on her but it wasn’t; this was the reality she wanted, she craved for her husband finally returning after seven hundred and seventeen years later.

The following evening as the last of the suns’ rays bounced across the walls of the living room Sonja sat there, a book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. Hearing the squalls of giggling from the opposing room to her left as her children showed Lucian and Luka their “Toys”. Shaking her head all she could do is smile and sip her wine, remembering a time way back when. Before she could get too deep into the memory Sonja shut it out, drowning the voice of someone else with a big gulp of her wine. No she wouldn’t think of the past she couldn’t bare herself to think about him, she was happy living her life as she pleased she couldn’t do that to the children; she couldn’t stand to put them in that situation. ‘Will the pain stop if I were to go deeper?’ she questioned herself not only of her past, but of her sanity in that moment. Hearing footsteps she wiped a tear away trying to conceal what her mind was doing to her as she looked up with a soft smile, “Hello my love I hope the children weren’t being to overbearing for you.” she said looking back down to her book trying to hide her blue hues from him.

Watching Lucian sit down beside her on the couch she looked over to him his words making her brow peek up, “How long have you been living here in Paddington?” his question making her think for a moment, does she lie to him or tell him the entire truth as to how she's alive and still here breathing. Before either of them could speak Jerick walked onto the threshold leaning casually against the doorway, his gaze moving from Lucian to his mother noticing she was not exactly fine and looking for a way to silence his father's voice in her own mind. Remembering his question Sonja tried to answer him without her voice failing, “We’ve um...” Sonja sat there trying to put it into perspective not only for herself but for her husband as well. Jerick stood there seeing his mother having a hard time trying to explain everything to Lucian, “What if you both wait until you are alone, she can tell you the story then.” looking up to her son Sonja had a small smile of gratitude as if thanking him for saving her for the time being. Nodding his head as Lucian understood looking to his wife, “It’s okay you can take all the time you need, I’m not going anywhere ever again I promise you that my love.” taking her hand and squeezing it gently all Sonja could do is smile, knowing she was safe and that her children would be safe as well.

Blood In The Water Drabble #4
Current mood:  inspired

As she was being dragged across the aisle Sonja tried to comprehend what her best friend Luka had just said to her, “W-What do you mean Lucian? He’s....” Sonja had stopped her sentence short thinking back on old memories between her and her first husband, how could he be alive after all this time? How is this even a possibility? Is she really about to see her first husband after 600 years? Sonja stopped grabbing onto the side of an aisle trying to balance herself before she could fall over, “Luka wait a moment...” holding onto her chest feeling her heart race as she tried to take a deep breath. Her mind racing at this moment as she tries to collect her inner monolog, “Luka my husband died long ago, I’ve seen the proof and now you’re telling me he’s alive and well! How is this even possible?” trying to catch her breath she stood up straight still holding onto the little aisle of the store, her legs like jelly not wanting to move from the location. Sonja felt as if she was frozen, all time around her had stopped only for a moment but it had felt like an eternity to her. The love she lost all those years ago, she was told he had died; That Lucian was no longer around, that he didn’t love or care for her.

Sonja just shook her head looking to her best friend, “You are bloody sh*tting me right now, do you really think I would fall for that Luka?” taking a small pause to catch her breath but before Luka could say another word Sonja had put her hand up. Seeing that her friend instantaneously clamped her mouth shut Sonja had raised a perfectly groomed eyebrow, her eyes a slight greenish-brown as she studied the posture of her lovely friend. With a sigh Sonja threw up her hands as a way of giving in, “Alright, let me go pay for these few items I have in my hands then we can go look at what you are so interested in showing me Luka.” She had said with a small smile, Sonja didn’t know if she could completely trust her best friend with her entire heart and soul. Not wanting to follow her friend, yet desperate to know the truth Sonja paid for the things Elizabeth and Jerick asked her to pick up for them. Jerick asked for a new Kar 98K hunting rifle, he didn’t only want it for hunting though but also for protection. Elizabeth on the other hand only asked for a singular book and a few crystals, the little vampire so intrigued with the witch's aspect instead of her own kind but Sonja didn’t mind.

As they walked towards the front of the shop Sonja turned to speak with her best friend just now noticing that Luka had vanished, shaking her head with a small smile Sonja walked around the little store until she seen her friend standing in the book section. “Weren’t we just over here?” Sonja asked with a smirk, “This is the exact spot you spooked me at after all, what could you possibly be looking for Luka?” Sonja asked looking at the books that had caught her friends' attention, instantly shaking her head before chuckling. “Luka darling, I know it’s shiny but isn’t there something you wanted me to see? Something that was as you put it ‘Extremely Important’.” Using the air quotations to emphasize the words, seeing her friend giving her a look she couldn’t help but laugh. As Luka looked back to her dearest friend she abruptly stopped laughing, “I’m sorry.” Seeing Luka shrug Sonja knew that her friend wasn’t bothered by the air quotes. Before they both knew it, they were walking out of the store bags in hand as they laughed about a past memory.

As they walked out onto the sidewalk they both smiled, feeling the chilly fall air surrounding them. The pale moonlight shining off the walkways, fresh dew on the grass as the smell of it fills the air.  Sonja smiled to Luka as the howl of wolves rang in the distance, jumping slightly before looking around as her heart sank. Luka looked over to her best friend as she sighed, “Sonja I have to show you something, would you follow me for a bit?” Luka asked with a gentle smile on her face, Sonja hesitated thinking for a moment. “I... I can’t I must get home to my children.” Turning to head back to the house she stopped and looked back at her best friend, “If you want to come you can meet the kids.” Watching Lukas’ face light up as Sonja just smiled, she always knew her best friend would want to meet her niece and nephew. As they both walked towards the house Sonja hadn’t any idea that her own husband was following the both of them, Luka had brought Lucian with her as a surprise for Sonja but as her interest was piqued Luka knew now wasn’t the best time for the Lycan to come out.  Making their way into the wooded forest just about a mile out from the house Sonja could hear more and more howls from the wolves, they had been following close by keeping an eye on their maker and the vampires he was with.

As they got closer to the house Sonja had noticed her daughter watching out the window, with a small smile Sonja had put a finger up to show Elizabeth to stay in the house. Turning to Luka she smiled lightly “Would you like to go in to meet them, I would have them come out but there are so many Lycans around us.” she said before looking to the ground. Seeing Luka smile, but the smile fades quickly as Sonja turns around to see her daughter running out to meet the new lady her mother had brought to the house. Her eyes turning that blue coloration signaling Sonjas’ own body of danger she ran frantically to her daughter, “Elizabeth no!” she screamed instantaneously taking off trying to reach her daughter before one of the Lycans could snag her up. Reaching into the back of the belt loop where Sonja had kept a sharp silver infused knife she felt another racing up beside her, trying with all her will to make it to her daughter before the others could.

Falling Leaves Drabble #5
Current mood:  calm

Sonja’s hair standing up on the back of her neck knowing one of the Lycans was right on her heels, using her all to make it to her daughter Elizabeth hearing more and more paws running on the hard fall ground. The leaves crunching under all of them as they raced against her but she couldn’t give up, what felt like an eternity as she finally grabbed a hold of Elizabeth pulling her daughter close using her own body to shield them away from the wolves. Feeling one of the Lycans grab onto her but as fast as they grabbed her they were gone, keeping her head down to shield her daughter not looking up as his voice broke the growls and the sounds of leaves rattling. Listening carefully telling herself it wasn’t him as he spoke, “You do not touch them! Back off now, these vampires are not going to hurt you.” Hearing his voice crack Sonja finally looked up seeing the man with his back turned to her but she instantly knew who it was, covering her mouth in shock as the tears rolled down her face. Before any of the lycans could protest Lucian had stood up tall showing them who the King was, “If you dare touch my wife or my children I will dispose of you do you understand me!” his voice vibrating off the trees that surrounded the house.

Before any of the Lycans could protest before him Lucian just smiled, “If any of you think otherwise because I am protecting one of the vampires that you all so desperately hate, maybe you should think on why I might protect her after all.” As Sonja looked up to him she tried to speak but his words had cut her off, “She is my wife, she has been my wife for over 600 years.” Lucian had paused for a moment letting some of the lycans process the information before he spoke again, “If you so much as touch a hair on her head I will rip your spine out of your back while the others watch, are we clear on that.” Sonja looked around them seeing one of the lycans change back into their human phase as the young man had spoken, “You told us centuries' ago that she had died, what makes you so sure that this one isn’t an imposter like that last one was.” Before Lucian could even say a word Sonja had taken a hold of his hand still holding onto her daughter, “I am the one who let you all free from my father, I am the one who let you all be who you are.” Her blue eyes now softening back into the brown coloration as she looked at all of them now, bending down to keep her daughter close as Wiliams’ pendant fell out of her shirt as it shone in the full moon light.

Looking back up after making sure her daughter was alright, Sonja noticed all the lycans stop in their tracks and stare directly at her. Confused and not knowing if it was the bloodlust or confusion all over their faces she raised a brow, “What?” she asked before looking down at the pendant. Noticing all the Lycans staring at her Sonja went completely silent, shutting herself out more focused in on her daughter as the wind blew gently between the trees. The gentle breeze of the night flew around all of them as the leaves fell from the branches, gentle snowflakes falling alongside as the chill of winter had started. Sonja looked up seeing all the lycans watching the snowfall before looking towards the house, her son Jerick standing in the open doorway holding a shotgun to his side as he studied the situation that surrounded him.

All in good time. Drabble #3
Current mood:  accomplished

It was late one fall evening as Sonja walked around the small town only a few miles from her house, it had been months since her separation from Jacob had been finalized. The pale full moon starting her ascend into the night sky made Sonja smile if only for a moment, those last few months had felt like hell to her; all the back and forth between her and Jacob about the kids made her head spin. “Jerick can stay with you, but Elizabeth should come live with me; Blah Blah.” she said silently to herself remembering the last phone call she had received from him. Sonja just shook her head at the thought, ‘Elizabeth living solely with him? I do not think so, besides who is to say she’d rather stay with her father over me?’ rolling her eyes at the small thought that had come to her.

Sonja just stood there under a willow tree, the irony she thought to herself. Looking both ways before crossing the street watching the mere mortal beings with their odd devices, some having little white things in their ears as the others just stared into the wretched things not paying any attention to what was going on around them. ‘It has turned into such an odd world.’ Looking both ways before crossing the road she walked past another immortal, the Lycans smell cut her like a sword to the skull. Whipping around trying to make out the immortal, her heart racing as her eyes searched the being. ‘Is it? It can’t possibly be...’ Running across the road before the light changed gently grabbing the arm of the man as she stopped, “Oh I’m so unbelievably sorry I thought you were someone else... My apologies...” she said quickly turning away and making it back to the other side of the road.

Moments later she had found herself in a little shop, seeing all the stuffed animals; blankets; and other little trinkets around the small shop she smiled to herself. Remembering when her daughter and son were small, still longing for the hybrid child she had lost all those centuries ago. Walking over she picked up a little stuffed wolf plush holding it to her chest tightly before putting it back on the shelf and walking away, hearing little children a few isles away from her as she smiled lightly walking towards the books. She stood their searching for a while before feeling someone standing beside her, moving to the left still reading the book as the voice of the woman spoke, “S-Sonja?” the woman sounded astound yet shocked as she spoke her name. Jumping lightly at the familiar voice Sonja set her book down and looked up to see her best friend, “Luka?” the blonde haired brown eyed female just smiled to her, honestly shocked at the moment before Sonja pulled her in for a hug.

Minutes turned into an hour of them talking and catching up with one another, Sonja still in disbelief seeing her best friend of 800 years standing there before her. “How are you here? How is this possible? Where have you been hiding?’ Luka bantered Sonja with questions as she looked down. Not really knowing how to say it out loud for her best friend to really grasp the reality of it, “Jacob.. He- He ended up saving me, He let me move in with him in the forest not far from here.” Sonja said with a shy smile, she knew her best friend would be mad at her for not looking for her sooner yet all Luka could do was pull Sonja in for a hug. Sonja stood there smilling looking at her friend until Luka made an autoable gasping sound, “What is wrong?’ Sonja asked slightly worried. Luka just shook her head and pulled on Sonja’s arm trying to get her to follow, “He will never believe you are alive, we have to go see him now!” Sonja seen the urgency in Lukas posture as she stopped her for a moment, “Wait he? Who is he?” she said with a brow raised. Luka couldn’t contain her excitement as she turned to Sonja before running them both out of the little shop, “Lucian of course!
