Etiquette and Guidelines
Proper Etiquette and Expectations * Respect. Respect is key; an umbrella expectation the finds a place for itself within each of the following expectation. I shall always give you the respect you deserve, and if you do not. However, my tolerance for disrespect and any form of bullying, degradation, cruelty, even plagiarism is non-existent. I will not have it in my life, nor on my page.
**In an addendum to this guideline, I will remove any such drama or competition from my stream and any correspondence. Let us behave as adults, and if you are unable, then please do refrain from adding me.
* Romance I do not intend to pair or become romantically involved with anyone without a proper discourse and organic path to that event. Meaning, that without a story-lead chemistry, there will be no romance, no intimate writings, etc. Margaret is a Lady and I will not disrespect her or myself in such a manner.
**This does not include general flirtations. But please know the difference between charming and uncouth.
*Relationships I have opted to keep Margaret as a single love interest page. If this is not acceptable, then you are not required to remain on my friend's list. I respect those that prefer a multiple love interest paradigm, and I have known to be take part in such myself. However, for simplicity and personal reasons, Margaret will have one love interest, regardless of how many different storylines may be in play.
* Writing Length I am a literate novelist. I do not count 'paragraphs' as they vary by size and frequency, but rather by word count. Rarely do I write below a One thousand (1000) word count per response. I enjoy detail and I enjoy painting a scene for my writing partners to enrich our experience together. I must ask for this in return. Quality reigns supreme over Quantity however. If one is able to entreat and engage my intellect and emotional creativity through a lesser number of words I welcome it. But I must set the bar at 550 (Five hundred and fifty) Words per post. This does not mean you must count every word, but it does mean, please have a care and insert an adequate amount of detail in our writing, and I do give you my word that I will do the same.
* God-Moding Please, just don't. I have created Margaret's personality, her mannerisms, her way of being, and I will be the one to control, through our writing, what she does and how she responds to written events. I would never dream of attempting to write your character's actions, please do not do so with mine.
* The Game Let us remember this is a game, a hobby, not a lifestyle, at least not for me. Though my online light may be on, I often forget to log out, when I leave, fall asleep, find myself entranced with streaming media, etc. Please do not rush or push me towards replying. I will do so when it is convenient to me. That is not to say I do not welcome messages. I do, and warm notes are always appreciated. However, my attention and availability may not be present just because I am showing 'logged in'.
* Enjoyment This is as important as the first guideline. WE are all here for a wonderful time, an escape from the drama of our real lives, an opportunity to delve into the life of fiction as we make it. Let us both enjoy this without marring its beauty with drama, jealousy, or territorial behavior. Let us all stay adults and behave like ones, so the we may all enjoy ourselves here together.
