Aella is the name that she chose once she joined the Azrael family. She once went by the name of Cecilia the older sister to Selene. That was years ago when she was human and before her sister Selene left her to die and became a vampire. What Selene and her creator Viktor didn't know was that night she was also turned as well. Marcus Corvinus had followed Viktor thinking that maybe he would lead him to where his twin brother William was being held captive. Instead he had found her on the brink of dying and decided to save her by turning her into what he was.
When she awoke in her new form she had asked him why he had done what he did and he said because he knew what is was like to be alone and betrayed by the one person that was suppose to always protect and love you. He told her about how her sister Selene had abandoned her not caring that her whole family had been slaughtered and started a new life. She couldn't believe it was true but after seeing the corpses of her parents and children she knew Marcus was right and a new rage formed inside her. She wanted her sister to pay for abandoning them all and Marcus offered to help her. Over the next years he hid her away in an old hut and trained her in the arts of fighting as well as teaching her how to survive as a vampire. He became like her new father figure and would do anything to protect him.
Present Day
Together they traveled to many places and she helped him in finding the key to help release his twin brother. She knew where he was being held but didn't know who had the key to release him, so together they searched for it. Once he found it his father Alexander held the key she had offered to go with him but he had told her not to, he was protective of her and felt that if anything happened to him she would continue and finish what he started. Unfortunately his was correct, once he had killed his father he had taken a vial of his blood and brought it back to her telling her to drink it.
Once she had drank the blood she began to feel sick and Marcus left her to recouperate from the affects of the blood. Everything was different once the effects wore off, she was stronger than any vampire in existence and her adopted father was dead. Killed at the hands of Selene, the one person who she once loved more than anything had taken everything from her and now she won't stop until she takes everything from her.
