The idea started with a brightly colored coffee beverage known as the Unicorn Frappucino. Amy had been at his side for a few adventures, and he wanted to do something special for her. A gift in appreciation for all her waiting. The Doctor took her seven years into her future to a village calledΒ Llanfer Ceiriog. He'd been there before some odd seventy years ago. It had been a few regenerations ago, so he couldn't remember the exact details.Β
It was April, so Starbucks had released its Unicorn Frappucino. The Doctor loved frappucinos, and he liked Unicorns. He took Amy to get her one and then brought her to the Stones. "You're going to love this," he promised. "There are places on your planet. Places that can take you through space and time. To worlds you've only read about in fairy tales." When the Doctor activated the stones, they were teleported to another world. A world covered in lush forests.Β
"Welcome to TΓr na n-Γg! A world nestled safely at the of Mutter's spiral. Home to the Ceffyl known on your planet as Unicorns, have I impressed you yet, Ponds?" The Doctor smiled as she looked around in complete awe. A herd of Ceffyl stood before them. "But Unicorns aren't real they're myths!" She exclaimed. "All myths start somewhere, Pond. Pay attention." As Amy approached one of the Ceffyl, he started to feel strange.Β
The Doctor felt like he was trying to remember something that didn't happen. "I've been here before, but...the gate was destroyed." Amy had managed to coax one of the Ceffyl into approaching her when she noticed something was wrong with the Doctor. "A different point in time, perhaps?" He said to himself. "Are you okay?" Amy asked, returning to his side. "No, I came here through the stones in 1992. We entered in 2017. But the gate should have been destroyed then. How is this possible?"
He felt Amy tug on his jacket. She wanted an explanation, but he didn't have one. The Doctor looked at the Ceffyl. "You lost your horns," He said sadly. He remembered it clearly now. As his memories returned to him, he collapsed. He began to glow like he was about to regenerate. "Doctor, what's happening?!" He heard Amy scream. This couldn't be happening. Why was this happening? He was fine. The Doctor reached out for her before the light engulfed him. As soon as he had her in his grasp, he disappeared.
The Doctor looked down at his hands. He then touched his face and hair. Everything was as he last remembered. Why did it feel like he had just changed, though? The Doctor scanned his surrounding, his eyes settling upon a girl. She had blonde hair, and tears were streaming down her eyes. "Rose," He said, approaching her. He'd been here before, but not like this. Not as he was now.Β
None of this was right. It was too early. He'd regenerated too early. How was this possible? They were in the Tardis, but this wasn't his Tardis. "Where's Amy?" As the words left his lips, he felt a pain in his head. His memories were changing. This was very bad. If his memories were starting to change, this was becoming permanent. "Rose, I need you to tell me how this happened."
