F.u.c.k Family!

'Who needed them anyway, right?'

It was what Kol had told himself repeatedly since he'd been brought back from purgatory. But it never seemed to fully work, for months he'd been holding the resentment, the anger, and hurt in.  He'd tried to flee them, flee the feelings of being looked down on like a second class brother by his siblings. And it hadn't worked. That was...until now!

Sacrilegious, was a Nightclub in Las Vegas.  More so, a supernatural club! A hotspot where the sinister nightmares of children's dreams gathered to relax, drink, dance, and dine on the emo gothic wannabes obsessed with the fairy tale of immortality!
It was a place to forget the past. Living each minute, each moment at a time waiting, wondering when the hour would come:    The moment that the doors to Sacrilegious were closed to the throws of people gathering in lines still hoping for entry outside.
It was the prelude to a climax. The inevitable arousal of bodies moving, grinding against each other seductively upon the dance floor. A place, forsaken by God; where only the Devil's advocates ran free. And it suited Kol just fine!

The soft flickering strobe lights above the dance floor were dimmed by the underlying smoke of a machine that drifted up from the floor, in tendrils to wrap around the sea of flowing bodies as they swayed, touching and weaving between each other in an intimate dance of predestined foreplay. Kol lowered his head, letting his lips trail across the soft delicate skin of the woman's neck while he breathed in her scent. She smelt so good, so fresh and sweet: a stark comparison to her friend who was slowly grinding her pelvis in circles around the top of his leg: while her hands traveled down, exploring their way across his body. He could feel his arousal growing; the warm tingles of excitement gathering in his loin and he counted the moments...
It hadn't taken him long to decide the innocent one, she'd be first! Saliva was already building in his mouth at the thought of piercing the soft and supple skin upon her neck and draining her dry while her friend, comatose in her uninhibited desire of sexual foreplay watched. Here, he was not just a Mikaelson.  He was Kol Mikaelson...a God! And here he had no family breathing down his bloody neck, or watching his every move only to tell him, he'd gone too far!

There were no alarms or bells that heralded the moment that Sacrilegious's doors closed. Some said it was the moment the proprietor, the one and only Katherine Peirce appeared to stand over her flock from the balcony above...
Kol, he found that rather comical. A mortals way of thinking, and something undoubtedly Katherine took great pleasure in endorsing. She'd always relished the attention, the moments to be adored, to be the center of everyone's universe, and deep down...was he really any different?

He'd never let her know that though, he'd never let her win, it was the bloody principle of the whole thing!  Instead, he'd insisted time and time again that any Vampire in their right mind could hear, even above the music and a dancefloor filled with rapidly beating hearts the exact moment that the Clubs doors closed; and the deadbolt was clicked in place!

The change upon the dancefloor was swift, the switch from foreplay to feeding. High on arousal, they made no attempts to flee or scream. Instead, they welcomed the bite. The moment their predator's eyes turned dark, crawling with blackened veins of death and they lusted for the bite. The sharp, excruciating jolt of pain as fangs pierced their skin sucking their life force from their climaxing bodies in a frenzy...Leaving them to fall drained and exhausted to the floor; as they hoped that if death did take them this night, that they had been shown mercy with their prior drink spiked with their new Master's blood!

The feeding frenzies had barely begun when suddenly the room was encased within a blinding white light.

It was so bright, it instantly hurt Kols eyes, blinding him in white, where he could only make out the stumbling forms of shadows amidst an uproar of screams and panic. Instantly he pushed the delectable young woman aside and raised his hand to shield his eyes.
Something was wrong. Something was very wrong!   He could hear others, vampires around him screaming out in pain. Shrill in their tormented cries of fear and anguish... They were dying!
Blinking quickly he tried to focus his eyes, adjust his vision to the light. and slowly he began to see. People were trying to flee, falling over each other in a bid to escape the club. Bodies of his kin ran dropping in flames amidst the panic or simply smoldered, slowly turning to ash with their shock still imprinted upon their crumbling faces.

Instinctively Kol glanced up to where Katherine has stood only moments before upon the balcony. She was still there and the look upon her face indicated she had no idea what had happened. It was a look of shock. A look of fear... yet she remained untouched, unhindered by the light.
Impulsively he glanced down to his own hands watching, waiting for the flames to appear. He'd been killed too many times before, his last desire was to find himself going up in flames again!
He felt fine. Whatever this light was... it wasn't affecting Katherine. It wasn't affecting him or a few of the others lucky enough to have acquired daylight rings...
It was becoming apparent that it was an obviously planned attack! Take out the majority, of foot soldiers; get rid of any possible and supposed innocent casualties at the same time - Quick and efficient! - Leaving only those who would take longer for you to pick off one by one...after all, wasn't it what he himself would do... if the situation was reversed.

Taking a deep breath Kol glanced back up to Katherine and she met his gaze. Once again he found himself noting that they were more alike than he'd ever cared to admit before.  So much so, that they'd have to work together to bring the culprit down! To make them pay, in the worst possible ways for what they'd just done!

Slowly Kol exhaled, and stepped forward, his eyes fully adjusted to the vivid gleaming of the ultraviolet light. His lips twitched, curling into a devious smirk as he called out into the silent room.

"I never took you as a coward mate. Come on now!... Step into the light! Don't be shy, let's finish this once and for all, Jeremy"
