-Caitlyn is waiting for Joanna to arrive at their reunion lunch at the cafe outside the Palace Hotel.
-Joanna plans to talk to Cate about the issues she's been having, but isn't sure how to broach the subject. She arrives late, and arrives in a flurry, apologizing and citing a 'patient' as her reason for being late.
-Caitlyn, excited to see her old friend is just the same as she remembered, says it's no big deal. She moves to hug her, but stops when he own body suddenly repels that action.
-Joanna doesn't notice the brief hesitation and hugs her anyway, playfully chiding her for never emailing. -Then, noticing Caitlyn's discomfort, asks if everything's alright.
-Caitlyn shakes off the weirdness and informs Joanna about Molly's strange behavior lately (ie, bringing home a stranger), and says that's the only thing that's bothering her.
-Before Joanna can reply, Dominick arrives. He was walking past the palace when he saw his ex-sister-in-law enter the palace cafe. He tries to convince the maitre'd that he needs to speak with Joanna, but the fancy maitre'd refuses to let him in because he doesn't meet their dress code.
-Joanna notices the commotion and wracked with embarrassment, apologizes to Caitlyn for what's about to happen, then moves to intervene.
-Dominick is becoming disorderly and almost punches the maitre'd in the face.
-Luckily, Joanna stops him, and apologizes to the maitre'd. She tries to get Dominick to lower his voice from an angry shout to a whisper.
-Dominick gruffly insults the unnecessarily prim bastard, and states that he simply needed to talk to her.
-Caitlyn remains at the table, awkwardly trying to decide on whether or not she should involve herself on Joanna's clearly personal matters. Eager to appease the awkwardness, she decides to invite Dominick to eat with them.
-Dominick, noticing Caitlyn for the first time, appears wary. He asks Jo where she knows Caitlyn from, and if she could be trusted.
-Joanna finds this to be so bizarre, and briefly explains that she met Cate in Med school. She then demands to know what Dom could possibly have to speak to her about, since they haven't seen each other since Zachary's funeral.
-Dominick, ignoring this question, sits down. He motions for Joanna to do the same, and when she does, immediately tells them he's come to warn them. He claims there's a demonic uprising that's about to take New York, and that they need to stay indoors during the full moon this evening.
-Joanna reacts to this sort of information by laughing.
-Caitlyn, however, doesn't look amused. Dominick was spouting the nonsense of a crazy person, which is, after all, her specialty. She begins to talk to him, carefully, asking what made him think that.
-Dom explains he's been hunting demons since they killed his brother, and rolls up his sleeve to show him some of the scars he's amassed over time.
-Caitlyn remember's when Joanna told her that her husband had died, and instantly understands the connection. She tries to suggest to Dominick that his 'metaphorical' demons may simply be a manifestation of his own grief after losing his brother.
-Dominick stares at Caitlyn, then at Joanna. He then looks at Caitlyn again, and accuses her of being a shrink. Having no patience for such people, he storms away, knocking over the maitre'd's  stand as he goes.
-Joanna, thoroughly embarrassed, apologizes again to Caitlyn, and states Dominick has a problem with alcohol.
-Caitlyn states that it's dangerous to search for things that don't exist, because one way or another, you'll find them. Suddenly, she finds herself thinking of her own dreams.
-They wrap up their lunch, and agree to meet again sometime soon.
