About me:
Who I'd like to meet:

Aurora Catherine Mezmarat

fall into me, darling

I wish to remain nameless and live without shame.
As the clock struck midnight on all hallows Eve, a baby girl was born. Her cry filled the room as her fading mother held her close and looked down at her baby who’s eyes were flicking back and fourth from Icy blue to red. Whispering an incantation she smiled as the little girls hues settled on the blue. “ Aurora Catherine Mezmarat, you will be amazing. And I will always love you. .” Her mother whispered before passing. Being taken in by her God mother and mothers best friend Loraine, Aurora grew up in Salem Massachusetts. At an early age her powers were present, which was no surprise for her family line. Loraine taught her how to control her powers and gave her an amulet to wear at school so she appeared as a normal human. Being a very outgoing and bubbly personality Aurora attracted the attention of everyone around her.

As she got older she tended to lean more towards the arts in school, mostly singing and drawing. These things helped calm the storms that brew within. At 15 she grew into her body which only attracted more attention to her, and not all of it good. Boys wanted to be with her and girls hated her. About 4 months before she turned 16 she started dating her 1st love Kameron Kate, she had known him since they were 5 and he was like a best friend to her. The morning of her birthday she felt a surge in her powers that was almost overwhelming. She knew at 16 Salem witches came into their full powers and being from an original family, she knew her powers would be strong. That night was a full moon and somethings happened that would change her life forever. That night she lost everything, her Virginity, her 1st love and her home. That was the night she found out she was a hybrid.

After being thrown out to the streets, Aurora bounced around from place to place. This is where she honed her craft, tattooing. She was taken in and given an apprenticeship with a women in New York. After a few years she had gotten good enough and saved up a lot of money that she could open her own place, but New York did not feel like home. There was only one place on all of her traveling that stuck out and called to her. NEW ORLEANS. Packing up what little she owned she moved down south. She found the perfect place for her shop that also had a loft above it. She offered the owner more than enough for them to sell it to her instead of renting. After 6 years of being in the crescent city, Aurora was the owner of saint and sinner tattoo shop. As well as worked part time giving vampire tours, but this was just for fun.

Leave all your love and your longing behind if you want to survive

RUN. KEEP GOING. On loop the desperation kept urging tired legs to continue moving. Deep inside a pure sea of green, her breaths came heavy, penetrating silence with fear. There was nowhere to hide, nowhere to run but that didn’t mean giving up was an option. They’d found her. As promised hunters had tracked her down to kill her. How? That was a mystery she would have to solve once she’d made it out alive. All her life had been spent running, hiding, holding her head down and it had all been for nothing. After their last attempt at catching her they’d learn how to protect themselves. No amount of sonic screams, or siren songs would make the hunters stop, they’d keep coming until she was dead. Or until she got to water. No one was safe then.

“Come out, come out wherever you are.” Chills went down her spine at the familiar deep tone. Hasty eyes shifting to find an exit, a new way to run came up short. Lailei had no time to stop to familiarize herself with the surroundings but her blood felt water nearby, calling her like a moth to a flame. Even the forest had running rivers, or a form of water source for her to bend to her will if she could get to it. However, it felt like she’d finally reached the end of a very short rope.

Heart beating so fast it was sure to rip right out of her ribcage she stopped for a second. A single second to gather her wits was too long. Feeling a bullet rip through her shoulder she yelped, the cry of siren no ear could ignore and one her hunters used to finally trap her. Mind lulling, slowly drifting to her subconscious she felt the floor coming fast but there was nothing she could do. It was as if she’d been bound…”witch,” was all she managed to get out before slipping to blackness.

There was something refreshingly different about this female, though he couldn’t pinpoint it. Not for lack of direction, it was that there were too many things that set her apart from anything and everyone that walked the crescent city that there was no way to boil it down to one thing. It was a change of pace without being something as meaningless as a passing fad or new age craze that would die out with the span of a day. Ash met with people for a living, not just through his business, but when it came to pack dealings as well. He shook hands and rubbed elbows with people from different walks of life, different experiences and cultures, and still, she stood out. That was saying quite a bit and he found himself feeling a little like teen Ash, ready to throw caution to the wind to spend a little time. He wasn’t exactly proud of some of the things he’d done as an adolescent wolf, but it was the time in his life that he honed his skills when it came to talking to women. Those skills, none of which he thought were a good idea to try on actual women.

The waitress walked up with their drinks, redirecting his thoughts back to the present. “Much appreciated, chere.” Tipping his head to the young woman, he tacked on to keep them coming and made a mental note to make sure he left her a hefty tip on their way out as she smiled and turned to get back to work. This woman’s scent seemed to wrap around him, cocooning him in. He could practically imagine it like something out of an old cartoon, then tendrils tempting him as they snaked along his skin, working their way up his body to his nose. At the mention of his mother he couldn’t help the lazy smirk that stretched across his face. “That woman has a tendency to do that, all cryptic messages and knowing looks.” He brought his glass to his lips, letting the cool fluid warm him. “What did she tell you that had you so unaware two clumsy frat bros got the drop on you, ma petit?”

Asher knew a few things to be stanchly true in this world, and one of those things was that Madam Trinity Bordeaux didn’t discriminate when it came to her messages. She didn’t twist words or withhold delivery to create situations. She always claimed that a higher power had already taken care of the timing, she was simply the messenger, and tonight was the first time he took a closer look at that claim. “Down Dauphine, above the Saints.” He recited a condensed version of the words that brought him out into the Quarter tonight. “Although, when I came onto that scene, Chere, I must admit I originally thought I was there to save the babelle, not save two idiots from her.” The amusement in his voice didn’t waiver as he teased her, his thumb stroking against her skin as they enjoyed their drinks.

“Boss?” The tentative sound of a young male’s voice pulled him from their conversation. The timid young man approached their booth, his hand wrapped tightly around the hand of a pretty young lady that couldn’t seem to take her eyes off him. “Jake, how are you doing, cher?” Jake reached out with his free hand to shake Asher’s, the young wolf was new to their territory, one of the newest members that found their way here in the hope of starting over. “And this must be Sarah,” as gently as he could, he set Aurora’s leg on the seat as he stood, offering his hand to the equally timid woman that was half hidden behind Jake. “It’s a pleasure finally meeting the one Jake can’t stop praising.” The young couple blushed in unison, the look on Jake’s face making it clear that he hadn’t realized that Ash would remember anything about him let alone things he’d told him during their small talk, and the woman seemed smitten to know her man was talking about her to people that were important in his life. “I’m happy to see you made it safely into town, and as a welcome your bill is on me tonight.” There was a little back and forth about not wanting to burden which was shut down quickly, it was time for Jake to learn that the mistreatment dealt to him from his old pack was not how Ash ran his. “Please excuse my manners, this is my friend Babelle,” he emphasized the word as if it were a challenge, a smirk playing on his lips. “Ma petit, Babelle, this is Jake and his stunning girlfriend, Samantha.” Ash didn’t often allow people this close to his pack, especially the fragile ones while they were finding their footing, but part of helping Jake find his footing and trusting himself meant getting him to trust his own instincts again. Their shared a little small talk before sending the young couple on their way. “It was truly a pleasure meeting you, Sam, and if you ever need anything, my door is always open.” He waited until they were walking away before he joined Aurora back in the booth, pulling her legs across his, “Where were we, ma petit vampire?”

AmeliaxAurora
in the land of gods and monsters, i was an angel living in the garden of evil

Amelia contemplated what to even wear to tonight. All her cute clothes didn’t fit her at all anymore. Her belly was so huge, she couldn’t believe she could get that big. All the maternity clothes she owned weren’t very cute. She had bought them mostly for comfort. Now, she was regretting it as she was having trouble with an outfit. Pulling out a black stretchy strapless dress, she thought that would work. Changing into the dress, she put on some boots with thick heel. There was no way she could actually wear heels. Heading downstairs, she found Gabe playing his Xbox. Yelling at the headset. Stepping in front of her son, she waved her arms in front of him. Gabe finally stopped his game.

“Mom, you look beautiful as always.” She smiled brightly, “Thank you honey. I’m heading out. Remember don’t open the door for strangers. Order food through our Ubereats account. And if you need me or your dad just call us. In case of an emergency call 911 first, okay?” Gabe nodded, “I know mom. Don’t worry.” She sighed, sometimes having a teenage son was a little difficult. “I’ll be back later, earlier than your dad. Don’t do anything bad either.” Amelia left the house, driving to the bar they owned, Maza Azul. She was planning to hang with Aurora. Ridd*ck had convinced her that it was better if she was in their bar. He was quite over protective especially now with her being pregnant.

Arriving to the bar, she parked next to Ridd*ck’s car. When she entered the bar, she saw Ridd*ck bartending. It was still early and Aurora wouldn’t arrive for another awhile, she decided to help Ridd*ck a little. Recently, he was strict on her bartending with her state. He mostly let her do paperwork. Frankly, she missed bartending but understood the safety issue. She managed to serve 3 people before Ridd*ck kicked her out, telling her to sit down to wait for Aurora. Rolling her eyes, she took a seat on the stool. He gave her some virgin drink. It was better than just having water. That’s usually all she had to drink at home. Or tea. The bar was starting to pick as the night grew darker.

Amelia felt a tap on her shoulder, turning around she saw Aurora. Smiling brightly, she greeted her. “Oh stop! You’re the one who looks so good.” Standing up, she gave Aurora a hug. “Hey babe,” she replied back. Moving to New Orleans, she had been scared she wouldn’t make any friends. Overall, she had trouble making friends. She was hesitant to trust anyone with her knowledge of vampires. They were scary to her after seeing what happened to her twin in her teens. The world was a scary place sometimes. A laugh escaped her as Aurora told Ridd*ck she was stealing her. Waving bye to Ridd*ck along with blowing a kiss to him, she then followed Aurora to the back of the bar. They sat down at a table. “I’m so glad you’re here. What’s new with you? Also, what do you want to drink?”

Gage

Dec 8th 2023 - 6:44 PM

Gage was definitely no help with telling Aurora what type of tattoo he wanted. He usually got whatever he was in the mood for, but that was the problem, he wasn't sure what he was in the mood for. Ever since seeing someone from his past, his mind was all over the place and he wasn't able to make a decision without having to think really hard. He decided to apologize to Aurora for not giving her any hints as to what he wanted for a tattoo. He was not even surprised when he walked into her shop to find that she had drawn up some ideas for him to look at and chose one to his liking. He wasn't looking for anything really big, just a small tattoo. It sweet of his friend to even take the time to draw up some ideas for him. He would definitely thank her and probably give her a some free drinks at the club.

“Now are you excited for me or just excited to that you get stab me a million times with a small needle and not get in trouble for it?” He chuckled at her as he looked over the drawings. “Wow, these are all pretty neat. I wish there was a way to incorporate all of them into one tattoo. This is a really tough decision for me to make.” He let out a sigh as he sat back in the chair to look over the options one more time. “I also want to apologize for not being any help for you. I've had a ton on my mind. I hope you can forgive me and let me give some free drinks when you come out to the club?” He offered her while putting the drawings down.

Gage looked around her room to find it pretty clean and cozy. Not many tattoo artists room were as cozy as hers. “I think I will go with option two. Unless you want to pick one for me? I have to say you did an amazing job with drawing them out. You really get me.” Gage said to her. He watched her put on some gloves and a smirk spread across his face. She looked a little too happy to be putting some ink on him. “I want to put this right below my left shoulder. Do you think that is a good spot for it?” Gage stood up and took his shirt off as he looked in the mirror to get a good look at the spot he picked for it to go. “I think it will look great back there. What do you think, Aurora?” He asked looking back to her.

Draven

Dec 3rd 2023 - 9:25 PM

Draven hadn't been to a bookstore since he arrived back to New Orleans. Well that wasn't completely true. He just had not been to one for his own pleasure. Every bookstore he walked into these days was to promote his new book. As much as he loved writing he also enjoyed reading. Maybe he enjoyed reading a bit more than writing, he was in search of something new to delve into. Some new topics he could use for his next novel, maybe even incorporating a bit of non-fiction in his imaginary world.

He had spent his morning wandering the streets of New Orleans, stopping for a café au lait and beignet at Café Du Monde in the French Quarter. Taking a seat in a corner alone enjoying the sweetness of the beignet and the rich flavor of his café au lait. Watching the pedestrians as they wandered about the street in front of the cafe. He couldn't help but pick out those who were from out of town. Tourist always were the easiest to spot, ever since he was a young boy exploring the city with his nanny. Requesting another coffee to go as well as a few more beignets to enjoy later.

Leaving the Cafe du Monde he headed out into the street once more. Peering into shops before walking into the ones he found interesting. Making notes of which ones to return to and which weren't worth his time. He walked into one seemly interesting looking magical shop only to be treated poorly by the woman behind the counter. The way she had acted the moment he walked in was very peculiar in his opinion, he didn't quite understand until her thoughts leaked into his mind. She seemed afraid of him, he wasn't sure why but left the shop as quickly as he had entered.

Stumbling into the street he ran into someone walking there. Apologizing for almost knocking them over in the process. As he finished apologizing he noticed a shop he hadn't before, making his way across the street and into the KaffineClub. Looking around he noticed there were shelves of books as well as a small café. He was pretty sure he had found heaven in the French Quarter. Making his way through the books he paused a moment having finished his coffee three shops back decided he needed more coffee before continuing his perusing. With a fresh cup in hand he was back among the stacks not paying attention to anyone around him. Reaching for a particular book he stopped as his hand hit another going for the same volume. "My apologies I did not see you standing there." Stepping back from the redhead covered from head to toe in tattoos.

RickyXAurora

"Is it already that time?" He said as he looked up at the clock. He might have just taken over but it seemed like he was barely there already the bar was already kind of busy from all of the people in town with the holidays. Some reason they liked coming to New Orleans. He assumed that it was because it was warmer than other areas but he didn't really feel like it. It was cold to him even with him being from up north but it was a different kind of cold. Like a dry deep bone cold.

Ricky poured her another one because he knew she would need it before the tours started. "She's getting ready to pop. She due December 10th I think it is." Ricky was excited to be a father again, it had been so long since he had a newborn around and he didn't really get to see his sibling's children and vice versa. The only sibling he had around was Daisy.

He nodded when he felt her hand on his shoulder as he was trying to figure out what was going on with the fight. He was their bouncer and everything so it made things a little hard. The woman was aiming at another woman because she was hitting on her man but he wasn't going to have it in his bar. "Get out all of you!" Ricky yelled out knowing that the tabs were already paid out because of the change of shifts.

By the time Aurora came back in Ricky had his second bartender there, and he was able to keep a little more conversation with her when he noticed her float her way in and sit in her normal area of the bar. Ricky chuckled when he heard her as she leaned over the bar to tell him what she wanted. "Yeah yeah, I got you." It took him just a couple of minutes to get her another drink and get it sat in front of her. "How was the night?" He asked loud enough so she could hear him over the music that was playing in the bar.

Nov 26th 2023 - 12:30 AM

The bar was pretty busy but it almost seemed like fate that there was a booth open in a private corner. Nodding his appreciation to the bartender, he pulled from his drink as he headed to follow the little hybrid. It wasn’t often that he was caught unawares and while he didn’t like the feeling in any circumstance, today he found a pique in his interest. She clearly didn’t need his help given the arsenal she possessed but the fact that she didn’t resort to lethal force only added to the mystery. Granted, the supernatural beings-especially in the Quarter-didn’t often do anything to bring attention to themselves, but he’d never really known a single one to shy from intimidating the human masses to stay away. There was something about covertly triggering someone’s survival instinct that helped curb unnecessary bloodshed in the streets. Abandoning that line of thinking, he joined her in the booth, his smirk at her comfort around him hidden behind his glass as he took another drink.

Her line of questioning made him chuckle, the sound vibrating through his chest as he set his glass down, running his finger through the condensation. He took a moment to study her face, her scent not giving anything away but her genuine curiosity. Tossing her words back to her, he couldn’t help but tease. “The lwa don’t talk to just anyone, devilishly handsome loup or not.” Ash didn’t often reveal the full extent to his connection with the Voodoo shop knowing how easily it could be used against him at the expense of his family. People that knew him as the Alpha of the New Orleans pack would never risk his wrath by even threatening his family let alone move against them, but that didn’t mean people ignorant of his history wouldn’t try. His innate drive to protect what was his wouldn’t allow it, even if his mother and brother were both individually a force to be reckoned with. “Besides, sorcières probably wouldn’t be too happy with some overgrown loup pawing at them while they’re looking for supplies for their craft.” He’d been young and dumb once too, made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot of lessons while he’d tumbled with his fair share of witches.

Ma petit vampire, if I were following you I wouldn’t have waited until you may have needed help to introduce myself.” There was a teasing light to his tone as he finished off the drink. “Can I talk you into another, chere?” He nodded in the direction of her glass before getting the attention of the passing waitress. His metabolism worked too fast for alcohol to have an affect on him, but that never stopped him before. He offered his card as he ordered their second round, asking her to open up a tab. His focus moved back to the ink covered woman, one arm resting along the back of the bench seat while the other rested against her leg in his lap. “You know I’m going to ask how you found yourself being served up as a meal to those two?” He nodded over his shoulder in the general direction of the street they’d come from. She didn’t look like prey, but he knew what he walked up on.

Asher wasn’t the type to back away from a challenge. Some might assume it was his wolf that refused, but the truth was, his hot headed cajun wasn’t any better. A s h i t eating grin crossed his features as he watched her try to distract him. It was easy to see that this tactic probably worked on every male and maybe a few females too. This little minx could probably bat her eyes and smile and melt just about anyone, but he was his mother’s son. Being the son of Madam Trinity came with certain requirements, and that was before taking the boost in power he got from his pack. Being responsible for his pack meant he couldn’t take risks since he wouldn’t be the only one to pay. His brother was easily dominant enough to take over if something happened to him, but the fallout of a transition like that wouldn’t be pretty.

Setting his hands against the bar behind her, he trapped her in a cage of his body. He couldn’t help himself as he leaned in and crowded her space, his nose brushing along the side of her neck as he took in her scent. He would be able to identify it anywhere in the world now, though he only got so close to savor it. “I think you know exactly what I’m talking about, ma petit… vampire?” There was a small lift of genuine surprise in his tone, but it was still devoid of judgment. “Now isn’t that an interesting turn of events.”

Giving her a sliver of space, he looked up at the bartender, his hand going up to get their attention. “Bourbon and…” Looking down at her, he gave her a moment to put her order in. He didn’t quite turn his attention ‘back’ to her since it never really left the petite woman. He knew better than to treat a woman in the same manner as the two drunk idiots had, and it was only then that he realized he wasn’t doing much better. Clearing his throat, he removed one hand from the bar but couldn’t really give her much more space than that. There was a possessive feeling he couldn’t shake, something about her that seemed to pull him in in a way that hadn’t happened before. He was really going to need to get a grip on himself since he was starting to feel like a pup going through puberty.
