Dean hated praying, he had never been one to have faith in God, and he especially didnโt know he what a selfish d*ck he was. Add into that the fact that most angels were just as bad as demons, and the Winchester rarely if ever bothered to pray. The only exception was when he needed his friend Castiel, who most of the time would come no matter what Dean said. They had been connected since the angel had lifted him out of Hell, and now they had a friendship that was so close his brother and Crowley would often make comments about it.
However, after his own failed attempt, Castiel managed to call the Archangel and after destroying the Nephilim easily he turned into his own form. Dean stood awkwardly as Castiel spoke to him, Dean really did not like or trust angels! He nodded as the Angel commented on his height, โYeah well my brotherโs taller!โ He had no idea why he said this, and immediately regretted it as Castiel looked at him.
Dean didnโt look over at his friend and instead looked up at the angel, โIโm Dean Winchester, Cas here thought we needed backup. I am not used to praying most of you lot arenโt worth praying to!โ He could feel Castielโs eyes boring into him but he didnโt care, this angel would probably double cross them like they all did Dean was in no mood to be sucking up to any of them.
The death was brutal and alarmin, Dean had seen many deaths from Demons to Angels, but this was something else. As if whoever the killer was wanted to tear their insides out and it turned Deanโs stomach. He looked away for a moment before looking around for whatever or whoever had done this. Castiel had bought them here, and now he was making it clear they couldnโt handle this, Dean looked up to see an angel flying above and pulled his angel blade from his jacket.
He could tell though from the look on Castielโs face that he was serious, this Nephillim was wanting to kill angels and there was no way they could keep them away for long. Dean nodded as Castiel flew up into the sky and started to fight overhead with the being. Dean hated angels apart from Cas, and he hated praying to them even more, so he fidgeted a moment before closing his eyes โErm angel Zephyr? You donโt know me I am Dean Winchester and me and Castiel got a problem hereโฆwe need you please come help? Erm amen!โ
Opening his eyes, he was determined to be ready if Castiel needed him, the two were wrestling and fighting storeys up in the air. He was constantly looking around sure that someone or something was going to attack him. He didnโt know this angel that Cas had asked him to pray to, but he was determined to be careful, he really hadnโt got a good history with them and he didnโt trust easily.
