Dominic Sanchez was born on April 15, 1966, Dominic is the son of Ezequiel and Camila Sanchez. His father always abused Camila, so that is why Dominic wanted to be a cop. He decided to become an agent for the FBI. If he ever saw a man hurt a woman in any way, he became enraged. He got flashbacks to a horrible event that happened with his parents when he was just seven years old.
One night, Dominic was supposed to be sleeping at a friend's house, but was sick so he stayed home. Ezequiel came home and didn't know that Dominic was sick and at home so he went on with what he wanted to do. Dominic woke up from hearing his father
screaming at Camila. He quietly tip-toed to the bedroom where Ezequiel was beating Camila and she was screaming. Dominic jumped on his father's back and covered his eyes so he couldn't see and he couldn't continue to hurt Camila. Little did Dominic know,
Ezequiel had a knife in his hand and stabbed Dominic in the leg and through him off his back.
He hit the floor hard. When Ezequiel turned back, Camila hit Ezequiel over the head with a vase, knocking him out. She then picked up her crying seven year old son and
ran as fast as she could. They got to the hospital and Dominic got his leg stitched up. That night, when Dom was released from the hospital, Camila brought him to a hotel. Carlos found them and brutally murdered the mother. Dominic got away and got the police. Ever since then, Ezequiel has been locked up.
Every time Dominic sees a battered woman, he gets flashbacks to that dreadful day.
At the same time, it taught him how to be a man. He knows how to treat women, especially his wife, Olivia, his stepdaughter, Eva and step-granddaughter, Hope. He would never hurt a woman, and would hurt anyone that would. Dominic is a sweet man with a heart of gold and has respect for everyone. He will treat everyone good, unless someone treats him-or his family- badly, then that person will get treated badly back. He is very protective, understanding, forgiving, sweet and loving.

Dominic and liv have been acquaintances for a while, and they knew each other from college days at Siena . they both attended Siena college at the same , but he graduated a year before she did, cause he's a bit older. they had spoken to each other a few times at parties they both were at back tin their college day. however they haven't seen or heard from each other since then. later on in life they cross paths again when SVU squad is in the middle of investigating a huge case , that opens up a whole lot more secrets, kinda like that pandora box case they investigated/ solved a years ago. however this case was diff in some ways. and that was because this case not only involved rapes, assaults, murders and abductions of minors, but also involved members and leaders of the sex trafficking rings from all over the world...and seeing as the case was so big and loaded with stuff, liv whos now the sgt in charge of the svu squad was forced to call the Feds into help svu with this case. later that same day in dc. Dominic's boss at the Bureau calls him into his office and tells him he has his next for him, and hands him the case file, then he tells him its in new york, and that he is to meet Sgt. Bensom and SVU squad, since they're the ones that started investigating the case and opened all the other doors to it. after hearing what his boss has to say on the matter, dominic complies and goes to manhattan , then he goes to the svu hq and walks im and says" hi, im agent sanchez , im here to help you all out with this case . i am looking for the one in charge, their name is sgt. benson," he says to the squad, then munch says" nice to meet you agent sanchez, i'm sgt. munch, her second in command, p,ease follow me and I will take you to her-" he says to Dominic, then Dominic says" pleasure to meet you sgt. munch, and ok" then he follows John to the conference table where liv is looking at crime scene photos from the case, then munch says to her" Liv, the FBiI agent who's helping us with the case is here now. then she says"ok munch" then liv puts the photos she was looking at down and stands up to greet the agent, but then after looking at him recognized him from her college days, then liv freezes for a second, then she speaks and says-" hi Dominic, its been a while. so whats new?" she says, to him, then munch says to them" wait a minute, you mean to tell me you two k ow each other?" he says curiously, then liv says sort of, we we went to Siena together, though he graduated ahead of me since he was a year a head of me back then" she says to munch....then shortly after that she gets the whole squad together and introduces him to the others. then shortly after that she tells everyone that she and Dominic are running things . and everyone's hen responds and tells her they understand, then shortly after that they all get around the conference/ break table and start to get to work on analyzing the new evidence Rollins/amaro found earlier pertaining to the case they're all working on
- smiles and kisses him back and says- i can't wait to eat dinner with you and yes let's eat ice cream after dinner too .. sounds good to be love- she said smiling at him, then said- oh hold that thought the pizzas already here, let me get it and pay the guy quick, before it gets cold- she said , then said- we will check your sugar with the finger thing before we give you your insulin later๏ฟฝ
- smiles and kisses him and says- it's a surprise babe, and i can wait to see what you get me babe. ๏ฟฝi'll give you your gift i made you tomorrow too- she said smiling, then she called for a pizza for them. later she hung up and said- pizza will be here between 5-15 mins babe, we should look for a good horror movie while we wait for it to get here - she said, then said - ๏ฟฝyes i did eat today and i worked at the station with you too remember?, since the kids school isn't that far from it- she said, then said- did you remember your insulin today babe? or want me to give you your shots every day from now on?
- she nodded and smiled as she listened to everything dominic had to say, then said- that sounds great hun and yes i agree we are truly blessed to have our family- she said, then said- i agree we should get the kids all something tomorrow, and i'll get pizza tonight- she said, then said- i'll call for a pizza and we can have wine if you like hun, sounds good to me- she said smiling, then said/ get me something?, dominic i love you so much, you are the best, you can get me something if you like, i'd appreciate it babe. i have something for you too i make it- she said๏ฟฝ
- smiles, hugs and kisses you band says- sounds good me babe, i'd like that very much, i love you too so much Dominic- olivia said smiling, then said- the kids are all asleep, thank goodness for that, we won't need to worry they'll interrupt us. they really are good kids- she said, then said- i'm so blessed to have you all in my life, that even includes their big sister whom they are all close with but we don't see as much case she has kids of her own and work too- olivia said, then said/ what are you in the mood for babe, pizza or chinese?, you know i'm not picky
- olivia walked up to dominic and wrapped her arms around him from behind and kissed his cheek- hey babe, let's go on and maybe watch a movie, cuddle in bed or do all that and make out a bit till we pass out in each other's arms, both of us have been so busy with work and the kids, i miss spending time with you just us
- smiles at you and everyone, then sits on the arm of the recliner next to you watching as the kids all play together and get along. sinks into the recliner later and cuddles with you as we watch everyone together- I love you so much babe, and our family, were so lucky๏ฟฝ
