About me: Oksana Anatolyevna Astankova, better known to the espionage world as โVillanelleโ, is a former assassin for The Twelve,a former underground global Anarchists Group who ordered the murder of high profile people for the sake of chaos. EARLY LIFE:
Villanelle was an orphan with a violent reputation who once developed an obsession-turned relationship with an older and nurturing French teacher,Annaโ and who castrated and murdered Anna's husband because of Villanelle's jealous infatuation with her.Five years after going to prison for the murder, Villanelle is recruited as an assassin by a criminal organisation called The Twelve, that helps her escape, fake her own death, and emerge with a new identity.
She works with her handler, Konstantin Vasiliev,with whom she has a kind of father-daughter relationship punctuated by occasional violence. Villanelle had nothing before she was trained to become an unemotional killer. Her instructions were to, without question, assassinate individuals around the world. This has bought her a wealthy lifestyle she loved.
Who I'd like to meet: However,Villanelle eventually grew sick of being the pawn of other people and desired to be in more control of her own life, wanting to make her own decisions and not carrying out someone's orders. To that end, she agreed to work with MI6, along with Eve, to destroy The Twelve.
Since the destruction of The Twelve and surviving an assassination attempt by MI6 immediately afterwards, Villanelle has felt an emptiness in her life. Now free,she is unsure what to do next in her life. Until she finds her next true calling, Villanelle plays the role of free-lance assassin.
