My name is Jaidyn Fiyero Ramos Moralez. I’m 35 years old. I was born on March 9th, 1987 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. My parents are Samuel Vicente Ramos and Iris Sylvia Moralez. I have an older sister named, Amelia Grace Ramos Sherwood (Ramos Moralez), who’s a climate scientist and a younger brother named, Leonardo Adrian Ramos Moralez, who’s a journalist. My grandparents are Antoni Roman Ramos and Jupiter Lillie Cano. My grandfather is a Pulmonologist. My family moved from Guatemala City, Guatemala to the United States when I was 5 months old. We frequently moved around the country living in Baltimore, New Orleans, and Miami, where we eventually settled.
After my 1st Birthday, I lived with my grandparents since my family moved to the United States. I barely remember my parents when I was growing up and I felt I wasn’t wanted by them growing or questioning why they left me with my grandparents. I’ve gotten a call around my birthday and Christmas to talk to my parents. My grandparents will I always be my mom and dad to me and I’m glad that they took care of me and was always there for me. I’m still close with my sister, Amelia and my brother, Leonardo. I have two amazing sons named Adrian Flor Ramos Moralez (born 2017) and Lonzo Hugues Ramos Moralez (born 2019) from a previous relationship. I would do anything for my sweet boys and don't want them to feel what I felt when I was growing up.
Drawn to creating music and film content since a young age. When I was four, my sister and I would organize plays in their backyard. Around age 10, I made a home movie called The Avenger, in which he played dual characters; I also participated in school plays. I found great joy at performing in front of people, which proved to be a stress relief at a time…me going to different school through my life, my parents getting a divorce and my mom getting sick even though I lived with my grandparents my whole life. I attended Santaluces Community High School and graduated in 2005. To support myself financially, I worked as an orderly at the hospital where his grandfather worked.
Unsure about my career choice, I considered enlisting in the Marines at one point. My grandfather initially disapproved of this, but I had recruiters convince him. Once I had taken the exam, I said I wanted to do combat photography in military reserve, a job they did not offer. Instead, I studied performing arts at Miami Dade College and continued to act in plays. During a trip to New York City to play a young Fidel Castro in an Off-Broadway production of the play When it's Cocktail Time in Cuba, I successfully auditioned to study at the Juilliard School. While a student there, I was cast in a production of Macbeth and worked on the film All About the Benjamins. I graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2009.
I played Romeo in the Public Theater's Romeo and Juliet a couple of year after I graduated from Juilliard. I was also played the villain King John in the film Robin Hood. Also I was in Inside Llewyn Davis as Llewyn Davis and In Secret as Laurent LeClaire with Rachel Dorian. I co-starred as Poe Dameron, an X-wing pilot, in the epic space opera film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. I starred as Prince Hamlet in The Public Theater production of Hamlet, that ran from July to September 2017. I play Jonathan Levy in Scenes from a Marriage. In the MCU series Moon Knight, I played Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley.
