   King Edward's Blurbs
About me:
King Edward is the stepson of former Queen of Andalasia, Narissa and A king. He was born royalty. Originally the Prince, he now co-rules Andalasia with his wife, Queen Nancy Tremaine. He is notable for his strong singing voice, being naïvely selfish and having an enthusiastic, larger-than-life demeanor. Edward strongly believes in instant love.

Biography:

Almost nothing is known about Edward’s early life, except that at some point he lost his mother, either from death or something else, and grew up with a stepmother, Narissa, the new Queen of Andalasia. As he entered his adulthood, Narissa had her servant, Nathaniel, occupy Edward’s attention with troll chasing, hoping that this would distract him from ever meeting and falling in love with a girl. If this were to happen, upon Edward marrying the maiden Narissa would lose her crown.

So it was for many years, until one day when, after having just toppled a large troll, Edward shared with Nathaniel how he dreamed of a “true love’s kiss,” lifting up Nathaniel and dancing with him as he said so. Just then, his song was interrupted by a female voice floating through the forest, singing the very same song. Entranced, Edward declared that he had to find the source of the voice, and so leaped onto his horse Destiny to ride off in pursuit. As he galloped through the woods, he happily sang his heart’s desire, until he noticed the troll he had just captured rushing ahead of him. Knowing that the monster was looking for the girl too, Edward vowed that “that maiden is mine!”

A little while later, Edward arrived at a small cottage, and spotted the troll pursuing a beautiful girl across a large branch. He assured the girl that he was here to help, but the maiden then fell off the branch (causing it to whip backward and toss the troll many miles away) and right onto Destiny, in Edward’s lap. He was surprised when the girl supposedly recognized him, and when he learned her name, Giselle, Edward became overjoyed and proclaimed that they would wed the next morning. The pair then shared the song “True Love’s Kiss” as Edward rode Destiny back to the castle, unaware that his stepmother was spying on his every move…

The next day, Edward was waiting at the church for Giselle to arrive, but unbeknownst to him, a disguised Queen Narissa had pushed her into an enchanted wishing well, sending her to the real world. But Giselle’s chipmunk friend, Pip, had witnessed this, and ran off to find Edward. Upon learning what had happened, Edward leaped into the well to rescue his beloved. He appeared out of a manhole in Times Square, New York City, just as a construction crew was about to close the hole (this was where Giselle had appeared as well, a night ago).

Edward saw the workers, and threatened them with his sword, asking them about Giselle. A moment later Pip arrived, but could now no longer speak. Ignoring Pip’s signs that the men had nothing to do with Giselle’s disappearance, Edward put his sword to the throat of the leader, Arty. When the man said he would like a beautiful girl too, Edward happily bid the man luck, before rushing off to continue his search.

Edward stayed in Times Square for a while, eventually climbing atop a city bus, thinking it was a fearsome monster, and stabbed the roof with his sword. After failing to find Giselle aboard the bus, Edward declared that he had slayed the beast and set all the people free. This infuriated the bus’s driver, confusing Edward. Just then, Nathaniel appeared, having also arrived in the real world, and Edward was pleased to see his old friend. When Pip jumped onto the driver’s head, she thought the chipmunk was a rat, which Edward cheerfully corrected her on, before he and Nathaniel went on their way.

The three, Edward, Nathaniel and Pip, stopped at a restaurant, where Pip tried to tell Edward through sign language that Nathaniel was in league with Narissa, and planned to kill Giselle. Nathaniel begged Edward to not listen, but Edward was willing to hear Pip out. But when the chipmunk was finally free to do his act, Edward misinterpreted Pip’s signals as being centered on himself, frustrating Pip and relieving Nathaniel.

After the resteraunt, the trio arrived at Columbus Circle, where Edward commended Nathaniel on his suggestion to split up. Just then, Nathaniel pointed out a woman resembling Giselle, and Edward ran off to catch her. But unfortunately, it was not her, and so Edward continued his search through Central Park. Then, while on a bridge, Edward heard Giselle’s unmistakable voice singing, and, thrilled, Edward leaped to the street below. He began to sing “True Love’s Kiss,” to alert Giselle to his presence, but then a group of bikers collided with him, sending the Prince to the ground, stunned. Nathaniel caught up, and Edward expressed annoyance at what had happened. As he started walking, it was revealed that his left leg was now somewhat injured.

Edward and Nathaniel eventually came upon the Grand Duke Hotel, where they decided to stay for a while. When Nathaniel removed Edward’s boots, the pain made Edward accidentally activate the television remote. Edward showed awe at this strange technology, and began channel surfing. While Nathaniel was preoccupied with a soap opera show on the screen, Pip quietly appeared to try one more time to warn Edward about Nathaniel’s true nature.

But again, Edward’s self-centered ego made him think that Pip was talking about him, and when Pip screamed in frustration, Nathaniel finally snapped back to reality and grabbed Pip. With Nathaniel claiming that Pip was deranged from exhaustion, Edward looked at Pip sympathetically, before Nathaniel locked Pip in a closet. Then Nathaniel prepared to go out, but first he asked Edward if he liked himself, which Edward smugly confirmed. While Edward continued exploring the channels on the TV, he didn’t notice Pip escape through the window.

Later that evening, alone in the apartment, Edward began to grow tired of this world, and asked the “magic mirror” to explain his situation. He then miraculously stumbled upon a news report covering an incident at a resteraunt, where Giselle was briefly interviewed on live. Overjoyed, Edward’s happiness was quickly turned to anger upon seeing another man carrying Giselle away, and misinterpreted this as a kidnapping. He then begged the TV to tell him Giselle’s location, and by chance the reporter stated where she was. Edward kissed the screen in gratitude, before rushing off.

Arriving at the Bella Notte resteraunt, Edward saw the apartment building from the newscast, and succesfully sneaked into the building (but not before being peed on by a woman’s dog). He went from apartment to apartment, looking for Giselle, but every one he found was occupied by various individuals. Finally, Edward lay on the floor in the hallway, exhausted. But it was the next morning, when continuing his search, that Edward finally found the apartment of Robert Philip, the man whom Giselle had been living with. He was delighted to see his beloved again, so much that he picked her up and twirled her in the air.

Then, noticing Robert, Edward unsheathed his sword, and prepared to kill the man. But luckily, Giselle rushed to Robert’s aid, explaining that he and his daughter were friends, to which Edward instantly changed his demeanour. He began his version of “True Love’s Kiss”, but when he reached Giselle’s cue, she failed to join in. Puzzled, Edward told her that she wasn’t singing, and he was confused even further when she claimed to have been busy thinking. Giselle had a request, before returning home, and Edward happily agreed to whatever she wished. But when Giselle revealed that she wished to “go on a date,” Edward was unfamiliar with the concept. Nevertheless, he agreed to do so before their return to Andalasia.

Outside, while Giselle said goodbye to her friends, Edward checked his teeth in the reflection of his sword. When he noticed Robert hesitate in his goodbye, Edward gave an encouraging nod. He then thanked Robert and his daughter Morgan Philip himself, for taking care of Giselle, but referred to them as “peasants”, before the two walked away. During the course of their date, Giselle bought Edward many New York souvenirs, such as a Statue of Liberty crown and I Love New York coffee cups. She even got him a hot dog, to which Edward was momentarily shocked by the name, before Giselle explained. When he tried to subtly get Giselle to leave with him, she brought up the idea of attending a ball that was to take place that night. Edward reluctantly agreed, asking that afterwards they should go home, which Giselle agreed to.

Later that evening, after Giselle had left for a while to shop for a dress, the pair arrived at the ball, and Edward was introduced to Robert’s girlfriend, Nancy Tremaine. Just as introductions finished, an announcement was made, asking for a man to invite another woman to dance. Edward approached Nancy, flattering her, and as they walked off, Giselle began to dance with Robert. Both Edward and Nancy’s attentions were focused on their respective partners, for they both began to notice the chemistry between the two. Finally, at Nancy’s request Giselle stopped her dance with Robert, and Edward offered his hand so that they could leave. As they walked toward the exit, Edward noticed Giselle’s tortured expression, but she insisted that she was fine.

While Edward went off to get Giselle’s dress wrap, he was unaware that his stepmother, Narissa, the mastermind of everything that had caused them to be in this world, had arrived at the party in her hag disguise. After poisoning Giselle with an poison apple, the hag was seen making off with Giselle’s unconscious self. Edward quickly wrenched open the elevator, only to find his stepmother. Pleading for someone’s help, Edward carried Giselle to a couch summoned by other attendants of the party. Robert came forward, and just then, Nathaniel reappeared, claiming that Narissa had done this.

He proceeded to explain all of Narissa’s lies, and Edward was both horrified and furious. Shouting in anger, he declared that Narissa would pay, before returning his attention to Giselle. When Robert suggested that a true love’s kiss would reawaken her, Edward quickly saved face by claiming that he knew that. He then leaned and lightly kissed Giselle, but when she did not stir he tried kissing her again repeatedly, harder and harder. Just as he was about to panic, a revelation dawned on him. He urged Robert, who he had correctly guessed was now the one meant for Giselle, to kiss her, and Nancy agreed to let Robert do so. As Edward stood aside and watched, Robert tenderly kissed Giselle, and she awoke. As the crowd applauded, Edward smiled in joy.

Just then, Narissa lost her temper and stole Edward’s sword, holding him and Nathaniel at bay as she backed up. As the two approached her, ready to take her down, the Queen transformed into a massive dragon, in the process knocking them aside. As Narissa took Robert captive and began to climb the building, Edward remained knocked out until Nancy helped revive him in time for them and Nathaniel to rush to the balcony and watch Giselle pursue Narissa. Edward then noticed Pip, trapped in a hamster ball, and for the first time correctly guessed Pip’s intentions. Releasing the chipmunk, Edward and the other two watched in amazement as, with Pip’s involvement, Narissa fell from the summit, crashing down onto one of the towers before slipping and plummeting to her doom.

By the time Narissa was killed, Edward came across a despondent Nancy studying a slipper left behind by Giselle. He comforted her, and even placed the slipper on Nancy’s foot. When it was revealed to be a perfect fit, the two instantly fell in love. Having already happily accepted the fact that Giselle loved Robert, Edward was now enraptured with Nancy, and so the two both returned to Andalasia, where their wedding was momentarily disrupted by Nancy’s cellphone, which she had accidentally brought alone. Tossing it aside, Nancy then pulled Edward into her arms and they passionately kissed, living happily ever after as the new rulers of Andalasia.

Who I'd like to meet:
Appearance and Personality:

In both Andalasia and the real world, Edward is a large-built, extremely handsome young man with prominent cheekbones and jaw. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Edward is usually dressed in an elaborate royal uniform, with cape and sword, as befitting a Prince.

Though possessing a somewhat large ego and is at times unable to look past himself, Edward is a warm and very polite person, even to people he does not know. He tries to be heroic and likable, but can sometimes come across as pompous. Edward’s self-esteem is off the charts, as evidenced by his answer when asked if he likes himself: “What’s not to like?” Despite this, Edward is very compassionate, especially for Giselle. He cared for her so much, he was willing to let another man kiss her in order to save her life.

Sofia looked at her own hands in horror as she sat up in the hospital bed. She was an incredibly sweet girl, she could never normally hurt a fly. Juliet and Shawn sat beside her as they tried to calm down the upset Sofia. She blamed herself for everything, not knowing that Narissa had been the one in control over her body. All she knew was that she couldn't control herself, she tried to stop herself from harming Giselle, but she couldn't.

"Stay away from me..." Sofia warned everyone in the room.

"Sof..." Juliet started to say as she looked at her adoptive daughter.

"I...I don't want to hurt anyone else...she must hate me...I wouldn't blame her or anyone else for hating me." Sofia softly sobbed, the she Sofia had been referring to was Giselle.

"I'm a monster..." she added as she sobbed into her hands.

"Sofia, you aren't a monster, this wasn't your fault." Juliet tried to reassure her.

"Sof, you were being controlled, you could never hurt a fly." Shawn added as he hugged his adoptive daughter.

"Even if they do hate you, you always have a home with us." he continued as he hugged his sobbing daughter.

Sofia wrapped her arms around her adoptive father and cried into him. She knew she couldn't stay here, not after what she had unintentionally done. She would be going back home with her adoptive parents and would never see them again. This whole thing had been a nightmare and a half. They would be better off without her, she knew this. Luckily they didn't know where the Spencer's lived, San Francisco was a big place after all, they wouldn't be able to easily find her.

Sofia had given the Spencers a house key and had already packed Sofia's things and placed them in their car. They signed the release papers and Sofia left a note for Giselle stating she was going back home, and that she was sorry for what she had done and that she would never be coming back so she could never harm anyone ever again. Sofia asked them to forget that she ever existed and not to go looking for her, and that she understood that they most likely hated her for what happened. Sofia managed to get into the car and had been on their way out of the state before Nancy and Edward had even arrived in the hospital room Sofia had been in.

It had been a long car trip, several days in fact, but Sofia was glad to be back home in San Francisco where she belonged. She wished that she could forget the entire trip th Monroeville. As Sofia slept, somehow her wish was granted, none of the Spencer's remembered, neither did the Guster's. But how had that wish managed to take effect? How did the two families forget their time there or that Sofia belonged to someone else? Had someone slipped a wishing wand into her bag?
Giselle Philip

Sep 23rd 2023 - 11:20 AM

Giselle woke up and sighed as she looked to the side of the bed where Robert usually slept at but he wasn't there. She was confused until she realized that more than likely he was at work.  Giselle checked the time as he taught her and realized it was the case. She also realized that she slept longer than she needed to. Then again Giselle had trouble sleeping until she finaly fell a sleep. She lay in bed for a while longer, and then she got up, and took a shower, as she dried herself off right after that. Once she was done she got dressed. After that, Gislle brushed her own hair and made it look pretty. Even if it was already pretty. Then she went to the kitchen and made herself some breakfast and dug in.

Giselle knew that Morgan was at school as she headed there on her own, as it was decided between them all that it was fine. Not to mention Morgan was responsible, so it helped. It was some months after Sofia was taken and many years before she was found. Giselle still grieved but was slowly putting herself back together, so to speak but she knew rather well that she would never truly be back to herself until she got her daughter back. If ever. The police in town helped until they gave up the search, so that was it. Giselle refused to give up but she also refused to make herself look crazy, as the people already saw her as. She didn't care how they saw her but it still hurt her. A great deal. Some people tried to tell her to give up as the child was gone, and no point in searching as she won't find her, unfortunately. Which hurt Giselle a great deal. Others told her to give up, that the child, the baby girl was probably not hers and back with her family, where she belonged, and she, her husband and her step daughter, Morgan should accept it. That she and her family should feel lucky that they aren't arrested. As they belong in jail but life gave them a chance to chance, so they should use it.

Giselle hated hearing all of that, as she began to avoid people all together. While she and her family continued to search for the missing Sofia. They all refused to give up, no matter what as it wasn't like them. King Edward and Queen Nancy came over a lot to help the search. At times all family searched together, with King Edward and Queen Nancy or without them at times but other  times it was either just Giselle, or Giselle and King  Edward, and  Queen Nancy. She tried not to think of any of it as she had breakfast on her own. Then Giselle walked outside and headed to the guarden, towards the well, as she waited for Edward and Nancy. Once then came they began the search once more but with no luck. They did it until like 3 in the morning and then they headed back to Andalasia, as Giselle stayed by herself, with her family. As her husband was a sleep as was her step daughter, whom she saw as her daughter. Giselle brushed her teeth, washed up. Dried herself and put her pj on. Then she lay down in her bed by her husband as she tried to sleep until she finally had fallen a sleep. Then next day things were the same. On Friday and Saturday, as well as Sunday they all searched together.  It was done that well as always, for quite a while. That way 6 years passed. Giselle got up, took a bath. Then dried herself off and got dressed.

Giselle was alone that day,  as Robert was at work while Morgan was away in collage. Giselle tried not to think of that as she went to the kitchen and made herself breakfast.  She put it on  the table and sat in front if it as she dug in. As soon as she was done she did some laundry. Then Giselle put the clothes and such that she washed to dry. After that she, she headed out to the well. As soon as she was there she waited for King Edward and Queen Nancy to come from Andalasia to help her search for her daughter. Giselle hoped to finally find her. However she was ready for anything as she tried not  to think of that and hoped for the best. As always since the day, night her daughter was kidnapped at and never stopped since then. Giselle refused to give up and searched. This day wasn't any different. She knew that without thinking about it as she continue to hope for the best, while she waited.
Queen Nancy Tremaine

Sep 16th 2023 - 6:27 AM

Nancy woke up and looked around herself. She was still surprised and happy that she married Edward and became his queen. Nancy never expected her life to turn the way that it did. Yet, it clearly did change and that was her life since that day after the ball and after Robert got with Giselle. Nancy thought that she was meant to be with Robert, and be a step mother to his sweet daughter but that wasn't  her destiny. Far from it. Nancy's destiny was clearly something else. Her destiny was meet Prince Edward, fall for him and him with him, marry him and be his queen, and rule the realm of Andalasia by his side. Which was exactly what happened. Nancy still couldn't believe that. She still feared that it might all just be a dream, even if she knew it was all real. Nancy didn't complain about any of it but she was also still shocked. Even if years passed since her life changed and she was happy about it but wondered what she possibly did to earn that. Nancy was happy and grateful that she deserved to be happy. She loved Robert and his daughter but she always felt that something was missing, until she met and got with Edward. That was when she truly understood what was missing.  Nancy only realized what it was due to the fact that with Edward she felt that she truly had everything she wanted and needed. As well as more than that. She didn't regret any of it nor complain. Nancy felt like she was the luckiest woman ever to get one of the greatest man ever. If Giselle didn't fell for Robert and he for her, or if they never met them then she wouldn't be as happy or trully happy  for that matter nor that lucky. Yet, it had happened and Nancy would always be grateful for that.  Her life weren't meant to be with the man she dated when she met Giselle and Edward, as Robert's life wasn't meant to be with her, and Edward's life weren't meant to be with Giselle and Giselle's life wasn't meant to be with Edward but Nancy was meant to be with Edward, as Edward was meant to be with her, while Robert and Giselle were meant for each other, were meant to be together.

Interestingly enough, Edward's step mother was the one who sent Giselle away to keep her away from Edward, so that he won't rule and to keep him alone and misrable but he still went after Giselle, and that put them in the right path to meet the ones that they were destined to be with. As well as it revealed to them that his step mother was evil and she got killed. While Giselle, Edward, Robert and Nancy found there true love. It helped them make their dreams come true. Whether they expected that or not. Which was definitely an unusual situation. Not how fairytails usually worked but that was still something. Something new. Which all of them noticed. All but Edward, who was adorable and cute, as well as handsome but unfortunately not that bright. Which was why he didn't notice that. However, Edward was great guy and truly made Nancy happy as she made him. Which was good enough for her. That was all she cared for. That was all she needed.  Granted, Edward did confuse her a lot and all but it wasn't something that could ever make her want to leave him. Quite the oppisite in fact. Nancy loved him very much. She loved everything to do with him and nothing or no one could ever change that. That moment especially. Nancy tried not to think of any of it as she looked at Edward with a smile. She loved her life. Especially the singing part. It was the case even without Nancy thinking about it. She got dressed and got herself a bath in the room as things were done in ancient times and then she got dressed as she got out and dried herself off with a towel, she noticed Edward look at her as she smiled at him. They kissed as she got dressed while he bathed, then dried himself and got dressed, if he choose to do so, as she watched him do that. After that, she just smiled at him and kissed him. Nancy loved him very much, which was very easy to tell.

"What is the plan for the day, Edward, honey?" She asked her husband with a loving smile as she watched him closely. She then waited for him to reply with the loving smile still on het face, as she wondered what would his reply to that be.

Giselle sat by her daughter, holding her hand when Evie arrived in the hospital, hearing what had happened to Sofia. She had been incredibly worried and had driven all night to see her. Robert had been the one to call Evie, knowing that she would want to be there for her adoptive daughter after he had been released from jail. It had been several days and Sofia had not woken up. Giselle was worried that Narissa had done something to her daughter that would cause her to never wake up.

Sofia felt trapped in her own mind, she kept running away from the nightmares within, trying to hide wherever she could. She knew she wasn't alone in there. In truth she was trapped, Narissa had managed to trap herself in Sofia's mind before she was slain, making Sofia fall into a coma-like state, never to fully awake until Narissa found it possible to take control over her body. Narissa knew that she could easily destroy Giselle while she took control, Giselle would never harm Sofia, it would be so easy to kill her then.

It wasn't long before Narissa found a way to wake Sofia while in full control of her body. She would just have to be patient, play the part until she got Giselle alone. She would take care of them one by one. Narissa opened Sofia's eyes. It looked like everyone else had left to get some sleep, though Giselle had been asleep in the chair right beside Sofia. It was too easy. Sofia quietly stood up, careful not to wake Giselle as she approached her from behind. She ripped out her IV before gently and carefully placing the tubing around Giselle's neck and trying to strangle her. The real Sofia was nothing more than a whisper, trapped within her own mind.

Narissa hadn't realized how weak and frail the girl truly was, trying to use all of her strength to strangle the older redhead. She knew she had to be quick in order to finish her off before the others came back and stopped her, she also had to make sure that her cover wasn't blown. The real Sofia couldn't stop her, she was trapped. and Narissa was stronger than she was. She knew that Edward was not the sharpest tool in the shed, he wouldn't be able to figure it out, all she would have to do was pretend that someone came in and threatened her, turn on the tears.

Narissa still had her magic after all as a backup, and none of them would want to hurt Sofia, if her cover was blown, all she would have to do is tell them that if they harmed her they would be harming Sofia. She had the upper hand and she knew it. Giselle had woken up and tried to pry the tubing off of her throat, gasping for air. She found it difficult to remain conscious as she saw glimpses of her daughter's familiar red hair standing above her with a sickening grin.

"S-Sofia..." Giselle choked out, trying to plead with her.

Sofia stood near the open window as she watched everyone. She was still a bit on edge and had been trying to calm herself for a while now. The redheaded girl didn't feel as if she belonged. As she watched their various musical numbers, she wondered if they had planned and choreographed the entire thing ahead of time? Sofia didn't wish to be in the way so she sat on the seat at the window and watched, hoping that Edward would not break anything else of hers, especially her various musical instruments. She was a talented musician after all,  though she didn't seem to break into song and dance like she was in a musical. To her it was somewhat odd behavior.

She scoot back some more, unaware of how close she was to the window's edge. They seemed to care for her, so why could she not just get used to the truth? Perhaps she was protecting herself from being harmed? Perhaps she thought that they were using her? Or maybe she thought that by accepting the truth, by calling them her mother and father that it would invalidate Evie and what she meant to her? Sofia smiled softly as she watched, closing her eyes briefly to listen to the music rather than seeing it. The last song seemed to be going well, that was until Sofia felt someone bump into her, causing her to lose her balance and fall out of the open window on the second story.

Sofia felt herself falling until she landed on the grassy area down below with a loud thud. She felt the air escaping her lungs. Her head was hurting and she felt like she was goiing to pass out. Sofia kept drifting in and out of consciousness as she heard an ear piercing scream coming from Giselle, who had witnessed the entire event, but couldn't stop it. It was as if she was frozen in place as she witnessed Sofia getting accidentally knocked out of the event until she heard the loud thud outside. She ran towards the window and saw Sofia on the ground, not moving before she let out that soul shattering scream. Giselle quickly ran down the stairs and out into the backyard where Sofia was laying. She tried to shake Sofia awake as the tears streamed down her cheeks.

"SOFIA! Wake up! No, no, no, no, no!" Giselle sobbed.

Sofia was still alive, but she was seriously injured from the fall. Giselle was about to move her into her arms, but Robert stopped her, explaining that she could injure her further and that they needed to call the paramedics. Grabbing his cell phone, he quickly called for an ambulance. Once the ambulance arrived, Giselle said she wished to ride along, but they said it was a new rule that no one could ride along with the patient. There was only one hospital in the town so that's where they went, however, the EMT's had other plans.

They boarded the vehicle with Sofia as they drove off before finaly shifting their forms to their normal ones. In the passenger's seat was Narissa, the driver being a new henchman she had hired. She finally had Sofia back, and could use her lifeforce to give her back her magic so she could finally kill her family. They drove until they finally reached a large house in the middle of nowhere and moved Sofia into the house. Vines wrapped themselves around Sofia's wrists and ankles as Narissa placed some duct tape over her mouth so that she couldn't scream for help. The vines began to drain her lifeforce, converting it into magical energy.

Sofia had woken up by then as she felt the vines dig into her skin with their thorns, tears streamed down her cheeks as she saw Narissa draining the life out of her. The color was leaving Sofia's face, her eyes growing heavy once more as she tried to force herself to stay awake. By the time they got to the hospital, by the time they figured out that Sofia had not arrived, that Narissa had been behind everything, it would be far too late. Sofia didn't want to be used to hurt others, yet she knew that she would be, she only wished that she could apologize to her birth mother for what her lifeforce was going to do to her. She only hoped that they would find her body so they could bury it and have closure. She knew she was the cause of all of this. She should have run away, she shouldn't have let anyone get hurt because of her.

Sofia knew that she didn't have a choice in the matter. She was going to be forced to live with these people, and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it. Evie let them back into the room, with Giselle trying to dry her tears. She knew she was finally going to get her daughter back...so why wasn't she happy? Giselle knew exactly why, because Sofia didn't willingly want to go with them. It broke her heart, but upon remembering Robert's words, Giselle was determined to prove her love for Sofia, hoping, praying that Sofia would return her love.

It had been a week since Evie had brought Sofia's things up to Monroeville and had left Sofia in the Philip's care. And while Sofia was still hurt and angry, she knew that she had to get used to it here. She stayed in her new room most of the time, extremely depressed over her mother just leaving her here with strangers. Deep down Sofia knew they cared for her and loved her, but it was just awkward and strange being there with them.

Sofia didn't mean to hurt Giselle's feelings, but the whole thing was still strange and she was having a hard time coping. Giselle was too by the looks of it. She just wanted Sofia to love her back and she wanted it now, though she knew it would take time, she was impatient. Knocking on the door, Giselle came in to check on Sofia, who had been napping on the bed. She sat on the edge of the bed near her daughter, just wanting to be with her. Taking off her shoes, she climbed on the bed and laid next to her, gently petting her hair.

She just wanted to lay there with Sofia for a while, wrapping her arm around Sofia's waist, Giselle just watched her daughter sleep as she curled up next to her. A few hours later, Sofia woke up from her nap with a scream, scaring Giselle, who had scared Sofia in the first place. Sofia quickly got out of bed and tried to calm her racing heart, surprised that Giselle didn't literally give her a heart attack.

"I'm sorry Sofia, I didn't mean to frighten you." Giselle sad as she stood up and walked over to her daughter.

"Damn it...look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that. I just...wasn't expecting it, that's all. Look, I know I've been cold and distant lately, and I'm sorry, it's just...it's been really hard on me. I'm sure it's been harder on you. I'm sorry...that I disappeared like that. It's my fault that this happened." Sofia said softly.

"Sofia, it's not your fault, none of this is your fault, sweetheart." Robert chimed in as he came into the room.

"Your father's right Sofia, none of this is your fault. We failed as parents to protect you. I am so sorry Sofia." Giselle said in tears.

Sofia felt guilty for making Giselle cry. She looked to Nancy and Edward, who seemed to have followed Robert up the stairs. Sofia walked over to Giselle and gave her a hug with her working arm, her dominant arm was killing her. It hurt so badly that Sofia knew it was time for another pain pill.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Philip, I did not mean to upset you." Sofia told her as she hugged her.

"You...you can call us mom and dad...if you want." Giselle told her as she hugged her daughter back gently as to not hurt her further.

"I...I want to, but it's like no noise will emit from my mouth...please...allow me some time to process everything." Sofia replied as she continued to hug her.

Sofia looked at him and raised her eyebrow. She didn't quite believe what he was telling her, it must have been a joke that she didn't quite get. Andalasia didn't exist, she had memorized a map of the world and Andalasia was nowhere on the map. "Oh this must be a joke right? I get it now, you have to stay in character, don't want to ruin the play." Sofia said sincerely, she truly believed that the two of them were actors. Robert looked at Sofia and shook his head. "Sofia, they aren't actors. I know it sounds crazy, but they aren't from our world, and neither is your mother. I thought the same things you are thinking now a long time ago, but it's actually real, I still have a hard time believing it myself. Think of it as a parallel world, because it is." he explained to her.

"Oh come on, you don't actually expect me to believe this do you? I may have been born during the day, but I wasn't born yesterday." Sofia laughed, thinking this was all one big joke. Alright Aunt Abbie you can come out, ha ha very funny." Sofia giggled as she waited for Abigail Turner, Evie's best friend to come out and tell her it was all a prank. "I figured Aunt Abbie had to be behind this. Oh she's good." Sofia said, still believing it was all an elaborate prank Abbie set up as a birthday gag. Evie knew she had to step in. "Abbie isn't here Sofia." Evie told her. Sofia blinked a few times. "Okay so I'm surrounded by crazy people." Sofia thought to herself. She looked at Evie, almost trying to telepathically communicate with her, even though she couldn't do that, trying to tell her mother to find some way to get them out of there.

But of course Evie couldn't read her mind or communicate telepathically, and neither could Sofia. "You're serious?" Sofia asked them. "I know the whole thing sounds preposterous, but it really is true, I would know, I was taken hostage by a woman who turned into a dragon." Robert said. Giselle seemed a bit hurt that Sofia didn't believe them, but then again Robert didn't either at first. In a way, Sofia was much like her father, a little too cynical for her own good. This just strengthened Giselle's resolve to show her that it was all true and that they weren't making it up as a huge joke. "Sofia, you can communicate with animals like me, that's magic right there, no one else can do that." Giselle reassured her, trying to prove that magic was real. Sofia never told them she could speak to animals.

"H-How did you know I could do that? I never told you that I could do that." Sofia became worried. Just who were these people? Had Edward told them when he saw her singing with them? "Only my family knows about that and so did Aunt Narissa. How do I know that aren't Aunt Narissa's lackeys?" Sofia said defensively, she was quite afraid now, just how did they know that about her? Evie looked at them all and wondered that herself. The only other people who knew her secret were some bullies from school. Giselle looked at Sofia and tried to calm her down. "Sofia, I promise you that we aren't with her. We aren't going to hurt you, I won't hurt you I promise, please just try to calm down." Giselle urged her as she tried to get Sofia to calm down. Sofia's walls were up now, she could tell that it was going to be difficult to get her to trust them.

"No, no way. I don't know who you are or what you want, but you need to leave! I'm not going with you, never in a million years!" she said defensively. She was protecting herself now, and Robert could tell, he knew she was freaking out internally, and he knew she found it too suspicious. Evie looked at them and knew she was going to have to be the one to calm Sofia down."Could you all please excuse us for a few moments?" Evie asked them. "Come on Giselle, let's just give Sofia and Evie a little bit of space." Robert told his wife. "No, I can't lose her again Robert, I just can't." Giselle told him as she started to cry. "It's just for a few minutes, we'll be waiting right outside." he explained to her. Giselle relented and went outside with Robert, waiting for Edward and Nancy to follow them.

Once everyone had left, Evie spoke with her and tried to calm her down, eventually Sofia managed to calm her down when she pointed out that they weren't lying. Evie was like a human lie detector, she was able to read body movements well to tell when someone was lying, yet they never displayed any hints of that. "Sofia, trust me, they were telling the truth, they're just worried about you. I can tell they all miss you a lot." Evie said as she hugged her adoptive daughter. "Yeah well, it doesn't matter, because at the end of the week we're going home right? We can forget about all of this, about them, right?" Sofia asked her. Tears streamed down Evie's cheeks, knowing she had to give her up.

"I...I'm afraid not Sofia...because you were never given up for adoption, the adoption is illegal. You have to go back with your biological parents. I did some research on your biological father while you were speaking with them. Your biological father is a divorce lawyer, he knows the law, even if I tried to take you home, you would just be brought back here. The only thing i can ask for is the ability to visit you." Evie said as she tried to fight through the tears. She loved Sofia more than anything and didn't want to give her up.

"No! Mom please? Please don't make me go with them!" Sofia cried out as she started to cry. "I'm sorry Sofia..." Evie apologized as she hugged her adoptive daughter gently, letting Sofia cry into her. Giselle and Robert could hear their conversation from outside and Giselle was heartbroken, her daughter didn't want to be with her. Robert wrapped his arms around Giselle to comfort her. "Giselle, it's okay. It's just going to take Sofia some time to get used to the idea of living with us. She's being taken away from the only world she's ever known, we just need to give her some time. She'll warm up to us after a while." Robert reassured the crying Giselle.

As Sofia listened to Edward speak, she raised her eyebrow at him. King? Besides, she had never heard of Andalasia, and Sofia was a very smart girl, quite nerdy. She had an eidetic memory and was hyper observant, she knew for a fact that there was no where on this planet called Andalasia. "Are you rehearsing for a play or something? Cause I know for a fact that there is no place called Andalasia on this planet." she told him. "I mean those clothes look a little bit too strange otherwise." Sofia said. She wasn't trying to be rude, she just thought it was strange. Looking at the redhead, Sofia could tell that she looked hurt. "I...I'm sorry Miss, I didn't mean to upset you." Sofia told her quietly. Giselle looked at Sofia and hugged her tightly, being careful of her arm. Sofia was taken back by the strange person hugging her, though the hug felt nice. She could feel the love and the warmth from the hug. Giselle started to tear up as she hugged her.

"It's very nice to meet you all." Sofia said as Giselle continued to hug her. Sofia looked a tad bit uncomfortable, something Robert noticed and got Giselle to break off the hug. "We don't know if it's actually her." he told Giselle. "Robert I know that this girl is OUR daughter. I just know! I can feel it in my heart!" Giselle told him as she tried to wipe away her tears. "Until we have the results, let's not make her too uncomfortable." Robert said to her. Giselle still seemed upset, but ignored Robert and sat on the edge of the bed beside Sofia. "Sofia, I am so sorry, I am so so so sorry that I didn't stop Narissa from taking you. You were hurt because of us. We never EVER abandoned you, we've been looking for you all this time! I never gave up hope that you were still alive and that you would come home. And now you have." Giselle said in tears.

Sofia looked at Giselle, she wanted so badly to let her have it, to yell or scream, but after listening to her and watching her cry, she just couldn't do that to her. She could tell that Giselle felt so much guilt and pain, that she wasn't lying this entire time. That she just wanted forgiveness. Though Sofia wasn't sure if they were related, she knew one thing, that Giselle deserved forgiveness and so did her husband. "Whoa, hey, it's okay. Look, I may not even be your daughter, but if I am, then don't worry about it. I wanted to be mad, but I just can't be. Even if you aren't my real mom, you still deserve forgiveness. Things happen, and it's not your fault alright? You don't have to blame yourself for something that was out of your control. I can tell you all are good people, that you are a good person. This isn't your fault." Sofia told her before wrapping her good arm around Giselle. She thought that Giselle could use a hug.

"Y-You're not angry?" asked Giselle. Sofia shook her head. "I should have figured she would do something like this." she sighed, referring to Narissa. "I mean judging by the look on your faces I take it you recognize her? I mean he destroyed the article and seems pretty angry." Sofia shrugged. "I mean there's a chance I'm your Sofia...the least I can do is put your minds at ease." she added. Besides, Sofia thought she was safe, she would just go home at the end of the week like nothing happened...right? There was no way they still wanted her, and even if they did, she was legally Evie's daughter, it wasn't like they could force her to move in with them right? Sofia had no idea how wrong she truly was. She had no idea that the adoption was illegal since it was a kidnapping. That she would be moving back with her biological parents and that Evie would have no say in the matter.

"Sofia!" a voice called out as a golden blonde haired woman entered the room. She wore beautiful dresses and heels. "Mom!" Sofia said as her mother came in and rushed to hug her gently. "I'm so glad you are okay. I was worried sick! Why didn't you answer my messages?" Evie asked as she hugged Sofia. "I fell in a giant hole and my phone broke when I fell." Sofia explained, taking her destroyed phone out her of bag and handing it to her mother. "We'll get you another one, alright?" Evie said to her. Evie looked around at the other people in the room. Sofia looked at Giselle who seemed hurt when she called Evie mom and not her. "Mom, these people saved me, they got me out of the hole where I fell." Sofia said. "Thank you for saving Sofia for me. I'm Dr. Evelyn Carmichael, but you may call me Evie." Evie introduced herself to them, extending her hand to shake theirs.

Sofia looked at Giselle once more and gently placed her good hand on Giselle's and smiled at her. It seemed to comfort Giselle a lot, who eventually smiled back at her. "Excuse me?" someone came in the room. It was a detective. The detective looked at Robert and handed him a copy of the DNA results. He looked them over, being familiar with them from divorce cases regarding paternity. He placed his hand over his mouth and looked over at Sofia. "Well?" Giselle asked Robert. He nodded at Giselle, confirming her suspicions. "What's going on here?" Evie asked. "We just got the DNA test back. Sofia, you are our biological daughter." he said to her. Sofia was in shock, she had noticed her resemblance to Giselle, but thought it might have been coincidental. "You did a DNA test on my daughter?" asked Evie. "She's not your daughter! She's mine! She was stolen from us by Narissa!" Giselle said angrily. Evie took a few moments to process what was going on.

Looking up, Sofia could see a figure in the distance, her head was spinning and she felt like she was going to throw up. "Going into shock." Sofia thought to herself as she tried to remember what her mother told her about going into shock and what to do, but she couldn't think straight. Upon hearing a voice, Sofia looked up again, but ended up passing out moments later. Once the light was flashed in her face, they noticed her unconscious in the deep hole. As she was brought up, Giselle could already tell that this girl was her daughter, a mother knew, she didn't need DNA evidence to prove that she was her daughter, she could feel it in her heart.

"Her arm is broken." Robert said as he examined her arm, even under the bandages he could see the deformities in it. "And she's gone into shock, we need to get her to a hospital." he added. Gently picking up the unconscious redhead, Robert placed her in the back seat of the car. Once everyone was inside, he drove them to the hospital. He waited in the waiting room with everyone else to see Sofia, to meet her for the first time. He had asked the hospital to perform a DNA test, while Giselle was positive it was her, he needed more conclusive proof, mostly to make sure he could legally get Sofia back. Gut feelings weren't exactly undeniable proof. Whoever she was living with would soon end if the test results came back positive.

Sofia woke up several hours later in the recovery room. Her surgery was a success. She needed pins in her arms to help it heal correctly and they had to rebreak the bone to set it properly. "Can you tell me your name sweetheart?" the nurse asked her. "S-Sofia...Sofia Carmichael." Sofia said as she looked at the nurse. "Sofia, do you remember what happened? Do you have anyone we can call?" asked the nurse. "I was walking and I turned my head to see if I was being followed, but I didn't notice a large hole in the ground and fell inside." she explained. "Yeah, my mom." Sofia added as she rattled off her adoptive mother's phone number to the nurse. The nurse checked her vitals and went to call Evie. She was then taken to her own room in the pediatric ward.

Sofia's DNA had been swabbed while she was in surgery and given to police to run test through their medical examiner. As she laid in the bed in massive amounts of pain, she hoped her mother would get there soon. As soon as visitors were allowed, they made their way to Sofia's room. "Oh...it's you from earlier. Thank you for rescuing me." Sofia said to Edward as she looked at him. "I don't know if I caught your name." she said to him. "And who are your friends?" she asked him. Sofia spotted a dark haired woman in the same getup as as Edward, though they wore different outfits, they looked like they belonged at a renaissance, or the very least a movie set.

Spotting two others next to them, Sofia looked at them, a man with a salt and pepper colored hair and a woman with red hair much like her own. Even her eyes were the same as Sofia's. "Oh...you look...familiar somehow...oh wait I know! You're my mom's favorite fashion designer! I thought you looked familiar!" Sofia said to her. This defeated Giselle, she was hoping that Sofia would remember her because she was her mother, not because Sofia recognized her from somewhere else. "Your mother?" asked Robert as he looked at Sofia.

"Yeah, well adoptive mother, but to me she's my real mom. Family doesn't end with blood." Sofia told them. "Oh where are my manners. My name is Sofia Carmichael. Thank you so much for rescuing me." Sofia said to them. "We heard from Edward that you were raised by your Aunt Narissa, do you have a picture of her?" Robert asked her. "Yeah, could you hand me my bag?" Sofia asked him. Robert picked up Sofia's bag and Sofia got out a journal that she kept and handed Robert an article about Narissa's arrest with a picture of Narissa's mugshot. It was definitely Edward's step-mother, the one that tried to kill Robert. Robert showed the article to everyone, including Edward. Narissa must have been seeking revenge against them, that must have been why she took Sofia.

Once Sofia heard singing and saw someone approaching her, she fell backwards off of the tree stump, hitting her head on a rock. "Ow!" Sofia said as she rubbed her head. The man had startled her, especially with his ridiculous outfit. Was there a renaissance fair around or something? Or maybe he was an actor and Sofia was interrupting his scene with her singing? Either way, he looked far out of place here otherwise. Hearing the man's question, Sofia looked shocked. How did he know her name? It was weird definitely. Hearing him somewhat ramble on Sofia looked even more confused. "How did you know my name? Oh wait..." she thought for a moment. Sofia took out her phone and got to a photo of her adoptive mother Evie.

"Did my mom send for you?" she asked him as she showed him the picture of Evie. "It must be time for lunch." Sofia added as she grabbed her bag. Standing up, Sofia dusted herself off, but thought some more about what he was rambling on about. "Taken as a baby? Oh...you must have me confused for someone else. Mom adopted me...I well...my parents abandoned me as a baby to my Aunt Narissa, but I got taken away from her when I was three...she was awful...Evie...well she's my adoptive mother, but to me she's my real mom, she's taken care of me and loved me for so long, I don't really need my birth parents, they gave me up anyway, why would I want them?" Sofia told him bitterly before starting to walk away. "Thanks for coming to find me, I'm sure mom is worried." she turned her head before starting to walk back off to the inn.

Sofia sighed, she was always bitter when talking about Narissa or her biological parents. She remembered the way Narissa would treat her, she would often hit her, telling Sofia that she was the only one who even wanted her. That no one else would ever love her. It made her so angry. And thinking about how she was told that her parents abandoned her, that they didn't love or want her just made her blood boil. As she continued to walk she wondered if the guy in the weird outfit was going to follow her? But why would her mother have sent this guy to come get her? Usually she would have just called her on her phone, but Sofia didn't see any missed calls or messages.

But why else would that guy be there? Sofia thought to his weird questions and how he rambled on about some girl getting kidnapped, at least that's what she thought she heard. It was just weird, though he seemed to have known her. Was he a friend of Evie's? So many questions swirled in Sofia's mind. The whole exchange was just strange to say the least. Hearing footsteps behind her, Sofia turned around. Was he chasing her down? It wouldn't surprise her, though what was surprising is that for once she wasn't the weird one. Usually Sofia was the one being chased, but as long as no one else found her singing to the animals then she most likely wouldn't get bullied like she was back home.

With her head turned behind her, Sofia wasn't watching where she was walking and seconds later she fell into a deep hole in the forest. Landing on her arm, Sofia winced in pain, everything was spinning and she felt like she was going to be sick. It was dark down there so Sofia couldn't look at her arm anyway. Reaching for her cell phone, Sofia realized that it was broken and wasn't turning on. She must have landed on it. She just wanted to call for help and look at her arm. Taking her good arm, Sofia felt the other arm and felt some deformities in it. Her arm was most likely broken from landing on it during the fall.

The thirteen year old tried not to cry, but she was in so much pain that it was difficult not to do. On top of that she was stuck in a deep, dark hole with no way to call for help. And well it wasn't like there were many people in the woods. That guy was probably already long gone. Sofia just had to hope that her mother would get worried enough to send a search party, which she would most likely do, Evie was the worrying type, especially when it came to her clumsy daughter. It was either that or hope that someone would come by. Sofia sat up and leaned against the the wall inside the hole. Until help arrived she was stuck, and unless they came down to get her, Sofia couldn't climb her way out either. All she could do was wait.
