Let's start from the beginning - Nixie Scarlett Vasco was born September 3rd, 1993 to her two loving parents in a small town just outside of Chicago, Illinois. For the first few years of her life, everything seemed to be normal. Her parents were only dating a few months before accidentally conceiving her, so their relationship was very new. However, her earliest memories of her mother's abuse started when she was only in third grade. She had witnessed her mother smacking, screaming, and shoving her father around. There was even multiple incidents where she held a knife to him. The divorce came the next year and it seemed her mother was quickly unraveling. Despite her father's best effort to fight for custody, the court always ruled in favor of the mother. Nixie was forced to only see her dad on Wednesdays and every other weekend. Her mother then started to take out her frustrations on Nixie since her father was no longer available to push around. Her mother was controlling, abusive, and constantly insulting Nixie on every level possible. This created a young teenager with a feeling of wanting to escape.
While she had excellent grades, Nixie felt the need to party as much as possible on the weekends. She smoked weed daily, binge drank, and even experimented with pills and cocaine. It was a miracle that she could balance the two lives but she managed. Cops were always called to the house to break up fights between her and her mother, but yet the court still would not grant her father custody. Nixie was left in a hostile environment where her mother was too drunk to take care of herself, let alone her younger sister. The day she turned 18, she packed her things and never looked back. To this day she has no relationship with her mother, and she never plans on speaking to her again.
She worked a few different jobs before turning 21, which is when she started to work for a night club as a bartender. Of course, she ended up meeting one of the biggest mistakes of her life during this time. A young man came into her life and vowed to 'save her' but he ended up putting her through years of abuse. This man was nothing but a liar and manipulator. He even had everyone fooled and claimed to be some army veteran. In reality, he was never even deployed and was actually med-boarded out of the military. Mentally she was just too weak to leave and his violent, physical threats scared her. Nixie struggled to find a way to escape, he was dead set on making sure it was impossible. One night, after he drunkenly beat her, he fell asleep. Most of what happened that night is totally absent from her brain. She blacked out entirely and when she woke up, she was standing there covered in blood. The scene was cleaned and the body was dealt with. Nixie packed her things and ran away to California.
Nixie worked several different bar-tending and serving jobs while also streaming on Twitch AND auditioning for different acting gigs. Her life was hectic and she hardly slept. She would work all day, party all night, and wake up to do it all over again. She met a few friends here and there but she had a hard time trusting people enough to form a genuine connection. Her mother had brainwashed her as a child to just assume everyone had the worst intentions, so she really struggled with maintaining friendships. This was probably one of the reasons she enjoyed acting so much. It gave her a chance to be someone else and she poured her entire heart into it. After 2 years she finally got her big break on a sitcom and the audience fell in love with her. Her career quickly blossomed as she secured a permanent spot on the show. Her Twitch career also started to take off. It wasn't everyday that a woman with her looks was spending her spare time playing games like World of Warcraft and Fortnite. She was enjoying the new attention, job offerings, and relationships. It seemed like everything was perfect, but the secrets from her past still haunted her late at night.
