About me: Delphini โDelphiโ LaRue is the adopted daughter of the former Regent and Elder of the Garden District Coven, Josephine LaRue. Delphi wasnโt born in New Orleans,but in Jacksonville,Florida. She was born into the infamous Shadowmoon Coven,a coven known for their invention and use of dark magic,demon worshiping, and human sacrifice. The mission of the Shadowmoon coven was to bring Hell to earth,by any means necessary. The only action left to be taken was โthe sacrifice of a younglingsโ, a sacrifice of 100 newborn babies with huge untapped mystical energy. The Shadowmoon Coven had almost succeeded,had it not been for the actions of nearby covens,including members of the LaRue family. The nearby covens ambushed the dark clan and stopped the ritual before it even started,with one of the few newborn survivors being Delphi LaRue. After seeing the crying and distressed baby, Josephine LaRue took her into the family, against the objections of her family, and traveled back to New Orleans.
Growing up,Delphi never understood why her own family (or so she thought growing up) would barely acknowledge her. The only LaRue family member she was close with Josephine,the woman she considered her mother. Delphi and Josephine grew closer and when Delphi started showing signs of magic when she was only 10 years old,which caused Josephine to tell Delphi the truth about her origins. Delphi was horrified to learn she was almost sacrificed and that her familyโs coven, which had existed for about 1000 years, was the reason why dark magic existed. At 10 years old,Delphi promised her adopted mother to stay away from black magic,due her familyโs history with it..a promise that sadly Delphi was unable to keep for long.
Skip to 9 years later,19-year-old Delphi was in college studying to be private investigator when she heard of her motherโs murder by the hands of the Dark Witch Daliha,sister of Ester Mikaelson. At this point in her life, Delphi had used dark magic on many occasions,most of them being to end of lives of vampires preying on college girls. After her adopted motherโs death,however, she used dark magic to visit Josephine in Purgatory. After confessing to her adoptive mother of her secret use of dark magic,and how it had little effect on Delphi due to her family's immense history and creation of it, she begged for her forgiveness. Josephine surprised Delphi by explaining that she always knew about her Dark Magic Use and how magic isnโt good or bad,it just depends on the will and intent of the user. After saying their goodbyes,Delphi left Purgatory and made her way back to New Orleans, determined to be a great leader in the witch community like her mother.
Who I'd like to meet: (Skip to 6 years later) The now 25 year-old Delphi has opened up a Ancient Weapons/Lore shop,a shop of weapons that Delphi personally made with dark magic to affect both werewolves,vampires,and hybrids alike. She sells only to witches and humans who wish to defend themselves against any supernatural creature who wants to do harm. Delphi has used her dark magic to give herself the abilities of a Huntress. Delphi's nickname is the witch community is "The Gentle Dark Witch".
