Adalind smiled as she looked at him. "I wish we could do that but sometimes we don't have a choice we have to work with everyone, unfortunately we don't really get a say so I was just the one who chose the short straw. The security guy is Milo and normally he is on top of things like this, so that has me concerned since he was one of my favorites." She said looking at the door.

Adalind heard Nicks voice and woke up in a panic. "Nick?" She asked looking around not seeing Robert in sight. "Where did Robert go?" She asked looking at him and placed her hand around her neck, her face was red and her neck had a hand print on it. She then heard sirens and knew the police were there.

"You saved my life Nick, thank you so much." She said as she stood up. If Nick wasn't there she would have been dead since he was a troll Wesen.

She looked up at him and nodded her head. "Unfortunately yes, we sometimes get convicts and if things don't go their way they get a little violent. It doesn't happen all the time normally we have a security guy or an officer that will obtain them if they get too out of control." She said thinking about it. "Which is weird that he hasn't done anything."

Adalind laid on the floor as Robert looked at Nick. He could see black eyes as he looked at Nick. "You're a Grimm?" He asked as he bscked off. Tales of Grimm killing Wesen wasnt on his to do list for the day but he was in a tight corner. "You're with the girl?"He didnt care to use her name. He backed against the desk and grabbed a gun.

He shot it behind Nick and ranand ward the back door, making an escape. He jumped to the top of the next building over and kept running. He escaped death from the Grimm.

She took a deep breath. She knew that she was going to start drawing attention to herself. She needed to act more like a human and not a Hexenbiest. She knew people were fighting in her office and looked at Nick. "It sometimes happens, it could be a client who doesn't like the verdict he was given or it could be one of the partner lawyers in a fight. It's hard to tell right now but I think I should go see what's going on. Considering that your a cop you could come and see what's going on." she said putting on a smile.

When she walked inside a lawyer named Robert lunged at her and pinned her to the wall, hand around her throat. "Robert, what are you doing?" she asked putting her hand around his and tried prying it off. Nick ran into the building and Robert turned to see who it was. "Nick..." she said before she passed out. Robert dropped her and turned his attention to Nick.

"You shouldn't be here." she said looking at the cop and then grabbed a lamp, throwing it behind him.

Adlaind looked at him and smiled "Yes, I'm sure I can get something done as soon as possible. I'll have to make sure I grab some coffee beforehand, normally when a lawyer goes anywhere they mean business." she said with a slight giggle. "Just so you know, oh and you're a cop? Well, detective, who knows we might meet more often especially if I'm defending one of the people you arrest." she said as she put her phone in her bag that way it was more secure. She then noticed the door falling, she had no idea that her new friend Nick would become a Grimm. She had only heard about their kind in stories when she would act up for her mom.

The door that fell shattered a few feet away from her. Once it shattered on the ground she turned fast that way nothing went into her eyes. She then put on a fake smile "Yeah, I'm sure someone is fighting or something didn't go someone's way." she took a deep breath and was hesitant on going in. "I better go see what's going on, I'm sure the police will be on their way soon. You're right by the way, I won't cancel. Just tell me the details once you talk to the others and I'll be there." she said as she looked at the office, you could hear people yelling and of course she was about to get into the middle of things.

"You can call me Addy, I will see what I can find out for you and your missing person's case. Have a good day, Nick." she said with a smile as she headed toward the office door, walking past the broken one on the ground.

Adalind could tell that he was trying to be kind to her. It seemed to only be normal people who acted that way. Her mother always told her that humans weren't to be trusted, so it took a lot for her to trust anyone. She took a deep breath and smiled slightly. She could tell that he felt bad about almost hitting her but she didn't want him to feel that way. She knew that she could get the light fixed especially since she knew the Wesen that was in charge even if he didn't know about their kind. Most normal people didn't they were just told fairytales or tales about them.

"Oh I will be complaining on my lunch break. Yeah, I am actually almost a partner at the law firm. You're looking at a lawyer." she said smiling slightly. "It's not too bad, I feel like there are worse places to work. What about you? You know where I work and all I know is your name. Where do you work?" she asked intrigued."Yeah, I know what you mean about the light I bet they will have it fixed once I throw some fancy words at them." She took a deep breath and knew she needed to relax he was a human and didn't do anything to her.

"You know, since you were so kind to take me to work after almost hitting me. I will go to dinner with your girl friend and your best friend. I could use more friends and I'm sure the girls at my office would appreciate it. since I've had a lot of late nights." she said with a smile, instead of taking his friends number she pointed at the card. "My cell phone number is on there, you can give it to him if you'd like. Thank you Mr. Burkhardt for the ride but I have a meeting I have to get to." she said smiling as she got out of the car. "A missing person? Isn't that something the police can help with?" she asked tilting her head. She looked down and saw him hand her, her phone. "Thank you, I'm glad you noticed it fall out of my pocket. Let me know what time and where to meet you guys for dinner." she said smiling as she headed to the office, until something fell down, she jumped back a little and shook her head. "I have no idea but maybe I should reschedule dinner plans, today is just not my day."

Adalind had just woken up for the day, this morning she had a really important meeting with a client. She worked for one of the top tier attorny offices. What normal humans didn't unserstand was that most of her clients were Wesen who paid a lot of money to get out of trouble with normal people. She had forgotten that one of her coworkers took her home after she had too much to drink. She had no choice but to start walking to work. She made it to town and had about three blocks left until she was at work. She walked across the street until she heard a honk. She placed her hands up, with being a witch she could get herself out of most situations.

Hearing the man talk she rolled her eyes. Of course, it was a typical male. She sighed and then looked at the time, when he offered to take her to work it was perfect, she could make it on time for her meeting. She went to the passanger side of the car and got inside. "Thank you, I guess the light must have been broken," she said glancing at him and then looked out the window, having her briefcase close to her. "Do you know where the portland law firm is? It's by city hall." she said looking at him. She willingly let him belive that he almost hit her but she could've stopped it at anytime. "You know, the city should really check that light, I might swing by city hall and make a complaint. " She spoke outloud.

Adalind couldn't help but to smile as she heard him introduce himself. "It's nice to meet you. Nick. If you don't mind me calling you, Nick. I'm Adalind, Adalind Schade." She smirked and then nodded her head as he approached her office building. "Yes, this is the right building thank you. I don't know about dinner with you and your girlfriend but if you ever need any law advice or anything, you can call me." she said handing him her buisness card. She didn't want to intrude on a relationship, especially since she was single and third- wheels weren't her stronge suit. "You never know what the future holds, maybe we will run into each other again, thank you again for the ride, Nick." She said as she opened the car door once he got to the side. Friends weren't her strong suit, with her being a hexenbiest every wesen was afraid of her except her own kind, and regular people she didn't have much experience with but that was soon to change once she had her meeting.
