   Clone Force 99's Blurbs
About me:

Clone Force 99, unofficially known as the "Bad Batch" and designated as Experimental Unit Clone Force 99, was a Clone Commando/Special Forces squad that was active during the Clone Wars. The squad initially consisted of four Clone Commandos that were designed with genetic mutations and led by Clone Sergeant "Hunter", a Clone with enhanced sensory abilities. Other members of the squad included CT-9904 "Crosshair", a Clone with keen eyesight and marksmanship that allowed him to excel in long-distance firefights; "Wrecker", a reckless Clone with an enhanced muscular form; and "Tech", a Clone with enhanced mental capacity and intelligence.

Following the crucial Battle of Anaxes, Advanced Recon Commando (ARC) Clone Corporal CT-1409 "Echo" joined the unit after being liberated from the Techno Union, having suffered severe physical trauma that left him deformed and mentally traumatized.

Most of the members' mutations and the ordeal Echo suffered prior to joining caused their inhibitor chips to have little or no effect, meaning Clone Force 99, with the exception of Crosshair who's chip had functioned properly, was able to disobey Order 66, at least it seemed at first.

After repeated direct head trauma, however, Wrecker began to exhibit signs of being affected by the Order, beginning with increasingly frequent headaches and, when fully activated, attempting to terminate Clone Force 99, as they were considered traitors due to the fact that they had disobeyed Order 66. Fortunately, Clone Captain CT-7567 'Rex', who had survived and had his chip removed by former Jedi Padawan Learner Ahsoka Tano, was able to find and assist the Bad Batch in removing their chips.

With the Proclamation of the New Order and the rise of the Galactic Empire from the shell of the Republic, Clone Force 99 deserted from the Empire and escaped from Kamino with a young female Clone named 'Omega'.

Cid, a Trandoshan female, worked as an information broker in the last years of the Republic Era. She operated out of 'Cid's Parlor', a cantina and gambling den in Ord Mantell City which she owned. She developed a working relationship with the Jedi during this time, occasionally passing them information.

In 19 BBY, the Clone Wars ended with the near-eradication of the Jedi Order, and as a result losing Cid an important portion of her business. In order to protect herself amidst the rise of the new Galactic Empire, Cid concealed her past connections to the Jedi.

Shortly after the formation of the Empire, the Bad Batch, who had recently defected from the new government, had a run-in with a Bounty Hunter who was targeting Omega. Echo, who had recently joined the squad's ranks, suggested that they track down Cid, who he assumed to be male, as she was the only one of the Jedi informants he knew of that he also knew how to find. (During the Clone Wars, Echo learned of Cid and where to find her from his Jedi commanding officers, although he was unaware of her species or gender.) Believing Cid could identify the Bounty Hunter and possibly her employer, the Batch duly travelled to Ord Mantell, heading through the streets of Ord Mantell City to Cid's cantina.

Since then, she has provided shelter, supplies and work for the Bad Batch and has taken something of a shine to Omega enough to teach her how to fire a bow as well as how to play Dejarik.
