Life in Wutai Village

Marthe lived with his parents up until the age of five. Part of a farming and fishing community; not tied to fighting or the defense of Wutai, but lived off the land under the water god who blessed them with harvests. Life was peaceful within the lands of the Wutai, far away from the urbanisation of the eartern lands of Gaia where the SHINRA Company began to build it's vast empire across continents, spreading Mako technology to deliver better and easier lives to the inhabitants. This all changed when the SHINRA crossed paths with the Wutai, the last free continent of Gaia that rejected the mere thought of allowing the SHINRA'S life-sucking machines to tarnish their green landscape. Let alone, defy the WATER DEITY, LEVIATHAN, thus the two sides came into conflict which spanned a war of hostailities between both party's that would be known as: The Meaningless War. Marthe, who lived in one of the outlaying villages along the coastal portion of the land became one of the earlier victims to the SHINRA invasion on Wutai soil. His village was close to one of the neary coastal Forts, making it an early target by SHINRA'S elite genetically enchanced forces, SOLDIER. The SHINRA forces easily overcame the peaceful villagers, slaughtering everyone in sight before the early attack could be alarmed to in-land Wutai forces. Marthe's parents refused to back-down and tried to fight their oppressors, resulting in them being killed in front of a then five year old Marthe, witnessing the entirity of his village burned to ashes, the child could only watch in horror beneath a burning building as his former life of peace came to an end.

The Thieves Guild

After becoming of ten; Marthe abandoned his homeland, now under SHINRA occupation, heavily scrunitized and treated as second-class citizens, or even slaves to the SHINRA for workforce purposes. Secretly leaving his homeland, he ventures his way towards finding a way to gaining the strength to fight back against his demons--namely the SHINRA, finding little pity nor care to anybody who supports the vile Corporation that robbed him and his homeland of meaning. The journey was long and hard, however, the lone Wutaian came across a band of rogues within the forests of Gongaga who shared little taste for the SHINRA, or anbyody outside of their elusive cult. Marthe became ensnared within one of the Guild traps only to be captured by them, however, upon seeing a fire within the young man who had nothing to lose they took him in as one of their own. Teaching him the ways of sublety, stealth and deceit to get what one wanted through any means—even if one would have to fight dirty to obtain it. After eight long years of rigorous tutorage under the Guild; Marthe succeeded in becoming inducted as one of them, turning his attention toward the one pain that kept him going: Vengeance on the SHINRA. Thus began his long journey across the ocean to the heart of SHINRA's control on the Planet, Midgar, the floating city that forever it-up the night sky with lights of Mako energy. There, he would find his purpose—his revenge—on those that took everything from him, and Wutai.

Open To Sub-Plots In Other Verses

I'm more than comfortable making slight tweaks to his story to allow cross-overs into other versesm or genres, depending on how versed I am within them. But I'm pretty sure I can make it work, if the right creative writer should approach me with equal likemindedness.

The Face Holds A Faux Smile but the Eyes Carry Sorrow

Finally he was within the slums and he immediately saw the difference in the two worlds that were kept isolated from each other due to the plate. All the stories of the slums being quite terrible was true. Everything he's ever heard was true, Stepping out the train and entering the market street he already felt like a fish out of water. Everyone just took a look at his clothing, assuming he held Wutai-heritage that had been long fed to the citizens of Midgar that Wutai were behind the terrorist actions of AVALANCHE. Using the name to further tarnish a once proud, cultured nation that bore nothing of the sought. Thus, the inhabitants already shunned him. There, he realized that anybody related to Wutai, were hated by most of the citizens down in the slums due to SHINRA's propaganda media. It was really a terrible thing to witness, Most people didn't even had homes to live in, and that included children. Most of the children were somehow shy or scared towards him but this one little girl. When she saw him she suddenly began crying and that just seemed strange, Why would she randomly cry when nothing's happen. But in an attempt to comfort the child he made his way towards her. Bearing a bright smile towards the crying female he ruffled her hair delicately and asked her why she was crying, She simply replied saying that one look into his eyes and she knew how much pain he must of went through regardless of the brave smile he puts on his face. There was something about this girl that was peculiar. Perhaps people outside of Wutai weren't so bad after all. It was then that the two exchanged names with one another. She learned his real name was Marthe, and he learned her name which was Abigail, A name he will surely remember through his entire life.
