“Got everything you need for the weekend my little Nightstar?” D*ck Grayson asked while leaning against his daughter’s door frame.
A seven-year-old Mar’i Grayson was running around her room putting the last of her clothes into a sleepover bag making sure everything was in to spend the weekend on Tamaran with her mother. “Yes, Daddy!” She grinned at her father’s question.
“Did you pack up your homework?” The ebony-haired man asked with his left eyebrow arched up while having his sky-blue hues at his daughter. It breaks his heart that their daughter was a spitting image of his now ex-wife while having his personality. D*ck tried everything in his power to make their marriage work but sadly it couldn’t work out. Last week, he served divorce papers along with calling Kory about the news to which she agreed that the spark in the marriage was officially burned out.
“Shoot!” Mar’i completely forgot about her homework and flew over to her backpack. “I’ll take it with me, and I’ll get it done, promise!” The ebony-haired little girl vowed taking the handle of her schoolbag and putting it on.
“Come on my little star, we gotta go if you want to spend the weekend with Mom,” The former boy wonder stated with a smile
The ebony-haired little girl runs over to her sleepover bag putting the strap on her right shoulder, “READY!” She reported.
In Outer Space Tamaran Starfire’s Castle
A tired Mar’i Grayson wakes up from the road trip rubbing her eyes to wake up, “Where are we, Daddy?” She asked while yawning.
“We’re on planet Tamaran,” D*ck answered turning off the engine into the T-ship then took off his seatbelt. “This is where Mommy’s been living for a while now.” He said trying to cover his hurt tone of voice.
The ebony-haired little girl unbuckles her seatbelt getting out of her seat grabbing both of her bags.
D*ck got up from his seat walking over to the exit area pressing a button to see the end hatch opening up. Mar’i quickly walks towards her father holding his head as the pair walks down to see Kori and Ryand’r standing a few feet away.
“MOMMA!” The ebony-haired little girl cheered letting go of her dad’s hand as she floated then flying over her mother.
“STARSHINE!” An excited Kory held her arms open and felt Mar’i being into her arms. The redheaded woman felt whole again to be with her daughter. “Oh, how I’ve missed you so much!” She told the truth kissing her daughter’s dark locks.
“What? Nothing for your Uncle Ryan?” A redhead man asked being fake hurt.
“Uncle Ry!” The ebony-haired little girl said who lightly pulled away to go over to hug her Uncle.
The redheaded former Titan now Queen of Tamaran walks over to her ex-husband with her arms folded. The pair talked for a couple of minutes as they were both heartbroken about what seemed to be the end of their marriage but vowed to be co-parents for their only daughter. They said their goodbyes as they walked away.
“Bright Star, be good with your mother and be on your best behavior. I’ll be back in two days; I love you Mar’i,” D*ck said goodbye to his daughter waving at her then pressing a button to close the hatch. He walks over to the captain's spot takes a seat buckles himself up then starts the engine flying away
“Come on darling, let me show you to your room,” Starfire said with a smile as she turned around to face her brother and daughter.
The ebony-haired little girl lands on the ground waiting for her mother then holding her hand out.
The Queen of Tamaran looks at the view of her now ex-husband leaving then turns around with a smile on her lips while walking over Mar’i. Koriand’r holds her left hand out taking hold of it and leading the way inside.
The ebony-haired little girl looked awed seeing a castle with everything so big, colorful, and spacious.
A female servant walks towards her royal highness bowing her head to address her majesty, “Good morning Queen Koriand’r and King Ryand’r. Also a good morning to you, Princess Mar’I, a pleasure to meet your highness.” She addressed the royal family.
“Princess?” The ebony-haired little girl asked confused while looking at her mom and uncle.
“Zorandia, a good morning to you,” Starfire with a smile while gently taking off her daughter’s schoolbag and sleepover bag, “Please take Mar’i’s bags to her room.” The former Titan said handing her daughter’s bag to Zorandia.
“Of course, your Highness, “The redheaded woman obeyed and bowed her head again while taking the princess’s bags and then walking away.
“I’ll take of everything sis; you spend time with my niece, and I’ll see you too ladies later,” Ryand’r excused himself with a smile.
Mar’i floats to her mother’s eye level, “Mom… why was I called Princess?” She asked wanting to know.
“Because my angel; you are a princess,” Starfire answered her daughter’s question looking into the same emerald hues. She starts walking while seeing her daughter in her blind spot. “Your grandparents, my parents were the original rulers of Tamaran. You see… they were the greatest King and Queen this planet has ever seen. The Citadel came in ambushed attacking the Kingdom with one thing leading to another and um…” The redheaded woman starts explaining the history of her parents with the attack on the Kingdome and stops with tears falling down her face.
“Momma, it’s okay. You don’t have to talk about it if it brings bad memories for you,” The ebony-haired little girl stated being sincere while wiping her mother’s tears away.
Starfire smiled lightly feeling her daughter’s hand to wipe away her tears, “Thank you my Little Star.” She replied. “Your grandparents are royalty; they come from generations of royalty. Your Uncle and your Aunt who you will never meet. Myself included are royalty. You may be half-human, but my blood runs through your veins. You Mar’i are a princess. Here you are treated differently, but on Earth, you’re half alien and half human because of your father. Do you understand what I’m explaining to you, sweetheart?” Kori again explained herself while looking into her daughter’s eyes.
Mar’i was very smart for a seven-year-old while listening carefully to her mother’s words. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. The ebony-haired little girl nodded her head understanding. “Mom… why aren’t you and Dad living together?” She asked her mom the question and noticed not seeing her mother at Titans Tower like she used to be.
The redheaded woman lightly took hold of her daughter’s hands, “Mar’i… your father and I grew apart. You had nothing to do with it. I was busy traveling both from Earth and here but decided to stay here instead. We tried to do video time with each other but I’ve been busy ruling and your father is busy with the Titans along with raising you. We will always love you until the end of time.” Kory spoke from the heart while gazing into her daughter’s eyes.
The ebony-haired little girl nodded her head while listening to her mother’s love. Mar’i held her mother’s hands. She nodded her head understanding her mother’s words, “I love you Mom; always and forever.” The ebony-haired little girl wrapped her arms around her mother’s neck and felt her mother’s arms around her small frame.
“You’re wise beyond your age my Little Star; has anyone ever told you that?” Starfire stated pulling away to face her daughter.
Mar’i nodded her head to her mother’s question then smiled, “Yeah… Dad says the same thing too.”

2023 (The past) San Francisco, California Titans Tower
It’s been a couple of weeks since Mar’i Grayson traveled back to the past to see her mother in her prime years before her unfortunate passing when she was ten years old. This was her time to reconnect with my mother being at the age of thirty-two.
Everyone on the Team was completely starstruck to see a young woman who was a spitting image of Kory and had the personality of D*ck; their daughter from the future. Both the Leader of the Titans and the Alien powerhouse were awed with their jaws dropped welcoming their daughter from the future with open arms. The rest of the Titans have also welcomed Nightstar as well.
Mar’i immediately grew attached to her mother from the past; she wanted to spend every moment with Kory whether it be drinking together, fighting, or training. Of course, The ebony-haired woman spent the majority time with her mother along with her father and everyone else.
21:35 P.M.
The Titans just walked from the elevator as they had just done defeating The H.I.V.E Academy.
“We kicked major axs tonight!” Garfield cheered as he jumped in the air.
Rachel and Conor shake their heads not saying anything as they head to their room turning in, “Night!” They said out loud.
“I don’t know how you have any energy at this hour to be jumping man, you’re crazy as hell,” Tim replied taking off his mask and yawning.
“Cause we kicked axs? That’s why,” Beast Boy stated a fact walking towards his room.
“Night guys,” Robin said turning his head to the Graysons.
D*ck, Kory, and Mar’i walked out of the elevator.
“You two should get some sleep and have a good night, ladies,” Nightwing told his girlfriend and future daughter goodnight as he walked into the halls going towards his room.
“Wanna have a drink?” The ebony-haired woman asked her mom then floating herself towards the kitchen. Mar’i opens the cabinets to grab two wine glasses putting the glasses on the table. In the back of her mind, she didn’t know how to tell her Mom about what would happen to her in the future. Nightstar goes over to the fridge, grabs a bottle of red wine, and closes the door with her hip. The ebony-haired woman opens the top of the bottle and pours in their glasses. Mar’i had to brace herself for the question and had to answer it.

Bud and Lou chuffed their outraged agreement as Harley Quinn's legs paced around and around in their little apartment, arms flailing wildly about with every word as she vented to them.
"That's the problem with heroes, yanno? They say they're all fer reformin' villains but then they go on ahead an' celebrate things without us." Bud yawned then nibbled on Lou's right ear, earning him a yip back from his brother. It was clear the blonde was losing her captive audience despite the animated swivel of her limbs. "An' everyone knows how much it sucks ta be excluded, we all experienced that in school, so this kind o' behavior from them is baloney!"
"Why, they like ta think they're oh-so-better'n me 'cause they're heroes but I woulda invited every last person that I knew ta my baby shower if I had one! Them's included!" A hooked thumb pointing over her shoulder at no one in particular seemed to emphasize her point. If the hyenas cared to look closely, they may see a bit of smoke pouring out of her ears; as it was, however, they were busier with fighting over the couch.
"I'll show 'em!" The blonde called behind her as she threw her front door open and shut so forcefully that the lonely and empty picture frame that hung above the couch fell off its perch and onto Lou's head, being met with a hysterical laughter from Bud.
Gothamites couldn't jump out of the way fast enough as Harley Quinn marched her black-and-red butt all the way down the street, still muttering to herself under her breath. By the time she reached the Titan Tower, Quinn had worked herself up into quite a tizzy.
Which was why when she heard the words uttered by the gorgeous but currently-in-the-way Koriand'r, the blonde's arms began their erratic movement again as she let loose all of her complaints in a singular breath: "*SowhyisitthatI'mthaonlyonenotinvitedtathebabyshowerthatPigeonan'BatsyJuniorarethrowin'an'whyamInotallowedtashakeababybeforeit'sbornan' don'tyaheroesknowthatvillainsorformallyvillainsarepeopletooan'--*"
As her baby blue hues landed upon the other woman's phone screen, she interrupted herself with a question. "Oh wait, yer tryna figure out cake recipes ta bake? Is this fer the baby shower?" Snatching the device out of Kory's hands, Harley frowned. "Don'tcha know how ta bake?"
Then she glanced up, eyes alight with expectations. "Wait, I know how ta bake! I used ta always bake cakes an' pies fer Mistah J' an' the goons' birthdays! Can I help? Oh, oh, CAN I HELP?! PICK ME!ME!" She waved her arm obnoxiously in Anders' face as if there was anyone else around for Kory to choose to help her with the task.
Hi there, Starfire. Thank you for the accept. Allow me to introduce myself; I’m Mar’i Grayson. D ick Grayson and your daughter from the future. The verses I do write in are Teen Titans, Titans, and Justice League (AU). Would love to discuss a storyline with you when you have the time. Have a great Wednesday!
Bruce had dusted himself off a bit more. The pain he had felt he was sure he was going to be feeling more so in the morning. It was a reminder that he didn't have powers while some associates of his and his proteges did. There definitely wasn't a need for her to be worked out in a training session and he had understood why the teammates had requested to train her above anyone else. Hell that had to be impressive considering that he figured D*ck would be the one that they wanted to be sparring with since it would be the closest to sparring with him since he taught D*ck everything he knew. Unless of course they had wanted to spar with him. He might have been older but he could still hold his own and wasn't anywhere near close to hanging up the cape and cowl.
Bruce had heard her reply to his question and he had nodded. It had made since that one stay behind to man the headquarters. It would have been something he would have done. Especially if he had been training a new trainee to fight alongside of him. He would assume it would have been Tim or Gar but figured leaving a strong member behind had made more sense just case a villain had come to launch an assault on the headquarters. Whichever villain did that would be stupid. "I can help you with the electricity."
She then questioned him which he figured he could be honest why he had been here. "Well I came here to ensure that everything back here was fine. As much as I don't like to admit it D ick doesn't need me out there keeping a watchful eye on him anymore. He's not the boy I raised anymore." Bruce had never really wanted to admit but he had become his own man and he was going to be the one to lead the Justice League one day if he so wanted that responsibility." He looked at her. "I think you and I could take the time to get to know each other. Out of the all team members, I don't think you and I ever really had a real conversation. I'd like to change that."

With your fellow titans surrounding you, I hope it will make your decision easier. Included in the box is an all-expenses paid ticket to Iceland a few days prior to the wedding so we can explore the beautiful country.
Bruce had been in town visiting the team as he had been eager to get to know the rest of the team. Especially since the team had gained some new members the last time, he had been in town had been for D*ck and Dawn's wedding. His presence there hadn't exactly gone to plan however as he seemed to be arriving right around the time the team had been working a case. Which Bruce had decided to get involved in. He knew D ick probably wouldn't have minded the assistance from his former mentor.
The case they seemed to be working on had involved a criminal known that had been giving the team trouble. He had noticed that not everyone on the team had been out on patrol tonight. Kori had been nowhere to be seen. When he was told that she had opted to stay behind at headquarters, he decided to check up on her. Maybe Kori would have more intel on who exactly they were looking for.
As he had decided to check in on Titans Tower he could see the lights had been off. That didn't look like it had been a good sign. Slipping inside the tower he had looked around in the darkness. However, he felt someone or something grab him. Within a swift moment he had hit the ground hard knocking the wind out of him. That had hurt. A lot. No one had gotten the drop on him.
As he had got up from the dusting himself off, he had seen the lights had flickered back on. He had been preparing to fight whatever had hit him. He would also have to make a note to patch himself up as he had been wincing a bit from the impact. However, who had him had made his eyes go wide a bit. It was Kori.
"I'm alright." He said pulling back his mask and looking at Kori. However, who had him had made his eyes go wide a bit. "Impressive maneuvers. I can see why the team looks to you spar with when they aren't sparring with D*ck."This interaction was awkward. He wasn't exactly close or had gotten to know Kori like he did the others. Well maybe tonight was the night to do so even if how it went about had been unconventional. "So why did you stay behind?"
