She may spend months or years researching and preparing a report. Practitioners sometimes use the terms "watchdog reporting" or "accountability reporting." Although she has been working for the Evening Herald for many years now, she does freelance on the side. ➕

♾️ Katherine is workable in all timelines, most verses, and any settings. 🔞 As far as Katherine's mutations go, she has energy armor and acrobatic skills which although it wouldn't be classed as a mutation, she can perform extraordinary human movements that defiance the laws of gravity and movement. She has lost loved ones which started her down this path of hunting as a young girl, that and a sadist ex. She is weapons and combat-trained, highly skilled, and won't stop until she gets her 'man' kinda deal. By day she's a journalist/photographer, it's an easy way to make contacts and dig into people's lives without raising too much suspicion.

|| Haha Could have her fall on him. She could be the reason he has amnesia for a short bit. At least that would force them to interact for a short while until they get somewhat established with their next event. :)

|| Haha. While she's asking questions he'll be sniffing at the air a bit and tell her she smells funny. She's human but different and he'd smell that and then ask her if he could taste her blood. 'Just a little. I won't kill you. Trust me.' Lol An alley way is always a fun place to start. The thing about Mathias, he's from a noble family so being dirty, being in the filth he'll bitch and complain even if he can't remember who he is at the moment. She'll mistake him for some dandy guy. So much fun these two could have but if they survive each other, they could be the best of friends.

|| Oh, I like her. She shouldn't have any problem at all with Mathias. He will test her at the beginning but there are ways around his craziness. I will explain a bit about him as well and offer maybe an idea we could throw back and forth? I'm sorry for the long winded description. I've had him written down for a very long time, just decided to bring him to life.

Mathias was born in the year 1022 in what is known as Norway. He is the son of a Nobleman and was trained to fight, as all sons were in that time. He was the youngest of two brothers, his brother trusted him with everything after their father died including battle plans and missions that would scout the enemy. It was this that brought him to the beginning of his end, so to speak. He was captured by their enemy and taken to a dungeon where they tortured him for almost a month trying to get him to turn on his brother, but he refused. His family was everything to him.

His brother, Lucian, knew that Mathias’ life was at stake, so he made a deal with the devil, so to speak, that gave him the dark gift so that he could find and defeat his enemy. In the end, Lucian stormed the location and found Mathias lying in a pool of his own blood, dying … his insides spilling out of the long gash in his abdomen. He couldn’t handle the pain, the guilt for having been the one to send his younger brother on this path and ended up giving him the dark gift.

One would believe his story ended there but the horrors that he endured took their toll on his mind. He was broken and now becomes triggered by the oddest of things. Mathias can’t stand to be tied down, held down or in any type of corner where he feels he can’t escape. His brother became not only his keeper but his handler somewhat as well, for when he loses his mind, he goes on killing sprees and not just a few people but whole towns or parts of them. This of course causes others to take notice and not something that any immortal wishes. It also puts a target on their backs by those of the supernatural community.

Many times, he will slip free of Lucian’s watchful eye and will wander about the world. Mathias tries to stay concealed as much as possible but the voices in his head oftentimes appear when he least expects them. He’s also prone to hallucinations from memories that never cease to leave him rest. Basically, Mathias can be locked in his own world. The boy he was residing in a grown man’s body fighting demons that only he can see.

I have a few points that one must be aware of:

-If you see Mathias in a crowded situation, you had best flee the other way. He’s no doubt getting ready to explode, in a manner of speaking and those all around him will end up dead at his feet.

-He loves to explore places that his brother won’t take him. Fairs or carnivals since they are out in the open. Antique shops, outdoor cafés and such. Pretty much places that aren’t overly crowded.

-He is a vampire. His time is the darkness. He can only survive in sunlight for brief moments. No sparkles here, just burning up in the sun.

-He is very intelligent, cunning, and manipulative although he will come off as the opposite at times. He kills without remorse and would rather kill mortals than animals. If there is one thing that can win him over, it’s animals. Got a puppy or kitten in your pocket? Just hold it and he’ll be your best friend. Haha

But, my idea was that maybe during an outing, whether hunting or just doing a walkabout, he gets disoriented and she finds him in some run down alley not sure of who he is and such. He has episodes like this and it's usually when he hasn't fed for a while. But it would just be a starting point, of course. We can discuss more of a path if you wish to.
