Short Version
An Australian foreign exchange student who formed such a close bond with her new friends in Ireland, the moment she could she returned to permanently join them and become part of their football/soccer team.
Long Version
Born in Melbourne, Australia she signed up to a student exchange program on a whim. Surprised when she was then invited to participate, though not given a choice of where she’d go. She was mostly satisfied with her destination of Ireland.
However upon arriving she was taken aback by the scale of her home to be. A minute village in a rural corner of the county. She did find her efforts to make new friends was rebuffed. She stood out far too much among the other girls.
But was embraced by the small circle, so much so that she was also invited to join their football/soccer team, even if the girls weren’t sure Australia had national teams or not. Zoe fell in love (platonically) with her friends’ group when they made Hanukkah arrangements for her first time away from home So touched by their gesture, she then made up her mind that she was going to be with them for good.
But she had to finish school first, her exchange program expired and she returned to Australia. Yet the entire time kept in close touch via the internet and a couple of short in person visits. Once she graduated, she immediately returned to the village.
