Mackenzie “Kenzie” Voight was the 4th youngest out of 6 kids. She had 3 older siblings and 2 younger ones. They were born to drug and alcohol addicted parents in Chicago, Illinois. Their parents cared more about their next fix then they did about their kids. One of their father’s friends, Hank Voight who lived close by noticed what was going on and decided to intervene. Once Child Protective Services stepped in, they granted temporary custody to Hank so he could properly take care of the kids. After a year of living together, Hank had been granted full custody of Kenzie and her siblings. Kenzie and her twin sister Tracy were starting middle school while her older brothers Matt and Kelly along with her older sister Charlie were in high school. Kenzie’s younger brother Christian was finishing up elementary school. Hank was a single parent doing his best to raise 6 kids all by himself. Kelly, Matt and Charlie all did what they could to help out financially when they were old enough to work. Hank had inherited his parents ranch with lots of land. Kenzie and her siblings all helped take care of the horses and the dogs that they had. At first all of the kids helped out then it slowly decreased to Kenzie and her younger siblings Tracy and Christian helping out while Matt, Kelly and Charlie were busy working.
Once they reached adulthood, Matt and Kelly went to the fire academy to join the fire department, Charlie had enlisted into the military while Kenzie, Christian and Tracy were still discovering what they wanted to do. Eventually Kenzie realized that she wanted to join the police academy in order to help others since she had a gift for helping others. Kenzie preferred to be called Kenzie over her full name since it was easier to say and distinguish between doing a good job and a bad one. While attending academy, Kenzie did her best to help out around the ranch during her free time. Kenzie, Tracy and Christian made sure to stay around the ranch to help out with the animals whenever they weren’t working. Kenzie was enjoying the fresh start that she and her siblings were given so they didn’t end up dead like they would’ve if they stayed with their biological parents. Her siblings also shared the same emotions.
When Kenzie and her siblings were in their 20’s and 30’s; they built a house on the outskirts of Chicago where everyone could live under one roof vs living in separate houses. Once Kenzie completed the police academy and graduated, she was hired right out of the academy and managed to make a name for herself. However, some of those names weren’t the best since a few people found out what Kenzie had done whenever she was promoted from one rank to the next. As Kenzie continued to get promoted, her younger siblings Tracy and Christian were busy going through the police academy. Kenzie did her best to help them be successful whenever she wasn’t too busy working.
Kenzie’s hobbies include swimming, horse back riding, journaling, but most of all, Kenzie enjoys spending time with her family and her Great Dane Aspen who was given to her around Christmas time. Kenzie’s downfall/addictions include alcohol and a lot of sex. There are moments where Kenzie can control her urges but then there are other times where she can’t. Kenzie is slowly opening up to others and slowly allowing those new found connections to help her when needed.
