Hardin was born in England. He had a hard childhood. He didn't grow up with a father. This one was violent and was spending his time in bars. Eventually, he left and never came back, leaving Hardin and his mother Trish alone. When he was still young, a horrible act was made to her mother in front of his eyes, which lead him to have nightmares every night. Those nightmares didn't stop haunting him when he grew up. Her mother wasn't spending a lot of time with him because she was working a lot trying to offer his son a good life.
Throughout the years, Hardin built the image of a violent guy, who was getting into fights, doing drugs and treating women like "sexual objects" or games because of the anger he was carrying towards his father. After her mother discovered what he had done to a young woman named Natalie, she sent him to Washington Central University in the US where Ken, his father, is the chancellor.
In August 11, Hardin began college at Washington Central University as a major in English Literature. He joined a group of friends with a bad reputation. He was drinking, partying and sleeping around. During his third year, he met Tessa Young, a freshmen student. He decides to make a bet with his friends involving her. While he wins it, he finds himself falling in love with her. Over the days, weeks, months, he tried to change for her, to be a better person. Some events of his life made it very hard to do so but he didn't give up.
Leave all your love and your longing behind if you want to survive
Cause what's in a name, Oh I still remain the same
Elizabeth's spirit's soon rising to playfulness again, she wanted Mr. Darcy to account for his having ever fallen in love with her. 'How could you begin?' said she.
'I can comprehend your going on charmingly, when you had once made a beginning; but what could set you off in the first place?' 'I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.

I’ve read hundreds of novels in my life, most of them claiming that love was the center of the universe. That it could heal any damage inside of us. That it was what we needed to survive. From Darcy to Heathcliff, I thought they were fools. That love was something fictional, only found in worn pages of a book. That it was just made up to keep humans full of hope, that it was a lie. But all that changed since I met my Elizabeth Bennett. I never thought I would find myself completely and utterly consumed by another until her. She took my hand and led me out of the darkness and showed me that, whatever our souls are made of, hers and mine are the same.
I’m sorry, please forgive me.
You once asked me who I loved most in this world.
Tessa smiled taking the towel and wrapped it around her frame before stepping out of the shower. She grabbed a smaller towel to dry her long hair. “Oh good. I haven’t seen him in a long time. I’m glad he’s coming.” She stated as she watched him leave the bathroom. She dried off then walked to the bedroom and slid on a pair of panties and a Tshirt when she heard him call for her. “Coming!” She yelled out as she walked out to the kitchen. “Did you forget something? Do we need to go out?” She asked watching him put the champagne in the fridge.
Olivia looked at the young man "my mommy said never to talk to people I don't know so maybe she can help you" the little girl said "MOMMY" the little girl called "there's a man at the door he looks like a ken doll" Olivia said, peri thought for a moment wondering what on earth her daughter was talking about when she emerged from the kitchen seeing Hardin at the door causing her to drop the mug she was holding "Hardin?" Peri questioned confused what he was doing on her door step as it had been 6 years since they last saw eachother "um come in, and grab your bag otherwise we both know it be there later"
Peri and Hardin were inseparable until they were 14 when Hardin left and moved to the US the pair remained in touch for a little but as the years went by they began to drift further and further apart peri had a baby, became ill, lived on the streets for a while, started to self harm, dated a drug dealer and well came out as Bi. Hearing the knock at the door the little girl opened it seeing a young man standing on the other end of the door "hello Mr" the 6 year old said softly
She let out a startled giggle as he jumped in the shower behind her. She laughed turning to see him atill dressed and now drenched. “You are so damn adorable!” She grinned snaking her arms around his wet shoulders while he washed her body. She took the sponge and stood there watching as he undressed. Biting her lip, she took in the view of his irresistible physique. “Luckiest woman alive.” She said almost to herself as she pressed the soapy sponge to his chest at the same time she leaned in to kiss him deeply.
"I'm sorry H I should have told you everything sooner but I guess that's why I was slowing pulling away from you and everyone I didn't want any of you to get hurt and caught up in my mess, you guys are the only real family I have" she sighed. When Hardin mentioned Zed Ryder felt tightness in her chest, she suspected zed had feelings for her and truthfully she felt them for him to but she was scared to put him or Hardin in danger "I don't want to risk you guys getting hurt but I'm scared doing this alone" she confessed and it wasn't like Ryder to Admit she was scared.
The moment Hardin left, she quickly washed up the dishes then ran the vacuum over the rugs. She was always cleaning up and making sure things were where they belonged. A habit she learned young living with her mother. Her mother.. she briefly wondered what Carol was doing and how her holiday was. Once done cleaning, she went to their bedroom and picked up the clothes that Hardin discarded the night before and tossed them in the basket with a soft laugh. “The boy will never learn.” She then went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth before turning the shower on and undressing. She stepped in and let the hot water spray over the tight muscles of her back before washing her hair. A few minutes passed and she heard a faint call of her name. “Hardin, I’m in the shower.” She called out, unsure if he’d hear her as she continued to wash herself.
Ryder sighed as Hardin sat beside her and began asking her question after question, she wasn't sure if it was smart to actually answer him but it was Hardin someone she always trusted "when I was 14 I ran away from my foster care, I ended up bumming around the streets and joined a gang for a while, I met a guy and we started dating and I fell pregnant, I new I had to leave this dangerous life I was in but they thought they owned me they beat me when I tried to leave, one night I managed to get away and I had my son then years later I met you, changed my life but these guys tracked me down and shot me, so I faked my death and here we are" she sighed
Tessa smiled feeling Hardin behind her kissing the top of her head. She looked up meeting his lips to kiss him back softly. A warm smile spread over her lips seeing how handsome he looked in the morning. The mention of New Years made her smile. She knew Hardin wouldn’t take her back to the frat house with Molly there. Besides, her and Hardin have grown so much since that night and the petty drama was behind them. “I do love the sound of that; future Mrs Scott. I can’t wait to be your wife.” Se smiled and pressed another soft kiss to his lips before looking in his eyes. The mention of Landons name made her relax. He was her best friend and she knew how much Hardin loved him. “I think that sounds perfect. A quiet night with those who matter most.” She brushed her hand softly down his arm before her fingers danced lightly over his palm.
