The Storyline
The Past
Alastor was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in the year 1913. His mother was a single woman, full French Creole- while his father was of Native descent. He never got to spend much time with his father, what with the man always working until the day he died via an accident with one of the trams. As such, his mother raised him a majority of his life on her own- teaching him to cook and care for himself. He got a job at a radio station- where he signed on frequently and played whatever music was to be found. But not everything was safe and nice within the town- and the radio star wasn't all he was cracked up to be.
With the Stock Market crashing, people were losing jobs. Work. The Great Depression hit. Even radio business wasn't making enough to put food on Alastor's table. Desperate times drew desperate measures and in the midst of the chaos, a serial killer took root in the town. With the death tolls rising, not much was able to be done about it. Nobody could survive in such conditions and so the brunette was able to get away with murder- quite literally. Killing wasn't enough for Alastor and he soon turned to cannibalism. This drew the attention of one of the oldest evil spirits to walk amongst men- the Wendigo. Thus, Wendigo madness took hold.
Alastor was losing his mind. He was talking to himself in mirrors, though his reflection looked different. Instead of brown hair and brown eyes, the mirror reflected a ginger haired being with bright red eyes. Shadows surrounding the beast. There was no fear from the radio host and his insanity was easily hidden with a smile as he continued what he loved. Distracting the people from his murders with music and announcements of other things. The Wendigo was taking root in the mind of the youth and every time he was in the woods, antlers seemed to branch out. His appearance seemed to become more ghastly. Right was mixed into wrong and Alastor couldn't get out of the spiral the spirit was weaving him into. But Alastor's reign of terror was coming to an end.
The deer-like properties of Alastor were also working against him. While the man was a hunter and efficient with a gun, he wasn't the only hunter in the town. He had managed to lure a victim, murdering and devouring them when something had his attention. The baying of hunting dogs. Now, Alastor wouldn't have given those a thought at first- and he didn't. Not until the canines drew closer. Until their barking sounded on top of him. He was trying to hide the body in bushes hastily when the dogs found him. Hunting dogs confused him with a deer and attacked him and it had the hunter who was following their trail to make that fatal mistake. To aim the gun and shoot the once famous radio star. This isn't the end of Alastor.
Alastor wound up in Hell. The human Alastor had been no longer existed and this was the Wendigo's area to reign now. Reign he did. As soon as he arrived, Alastor was toppling over the hierarchy already set in place. Annihilating Overlords who had spent centuries where they were. With Eldritch powers, shadow manipulation and spatial rifts- among other things- Alastor was becoming the top predator. The top demon. An Overlord in his own right.
The Current
Alastor took his place as host of the Hazbin Hotel, a name he jokingly called the place Charlie claims will be used to redeem sinners. A radio tower was his respite and he spends his time often handling matters such as making commercials and attending Overlord meetings.
When the Exterminators attacked, Alastor went toe to toe with Adam. It was a good fight and he was exerting power, even making a shield around the hotel, but he was nearly killed by the First Man which thus leads to him having to retreat. Alastor returned later after the battle, regrouping with the others. He sees Charlie as his own daughter.
Alastor isn't the big bad demon he makes himself out to be. While he owns Husker and Nifty, his own soul is bound to someone else. Who this person is, he's secretive about it.
