Early on in her life Colleen thought her life was normal. Sure her dad always made her come home at dusk and Colleen never went out after dark, but was that so unusual? But even though Colleen could leave the house during the day her father told her to not make any friends especially boyfriends and even though Colleen had plenty of opportunities to make friends she remained antisocial although she hated it. Since her mother died shortly after giving birth to her all Colleen had was her father to take care of her.
But as she reached later into her teenage years Colleen knew something was strange. She began hearing noises in the night. But not normal noises...something else and she felt an inexplicable urge to go outside ...and do what? She had no idea. Colleen said nothing to her dad, but then one night she accidentally cut herself and when she tried to staunch the blood and then examined her cut it had completely healed.
Colleen could not just handle this anymore. Something was wrong and she confronted her father about it. Finally her father told her the truth. Colleen’s mother wasn’t dead and buried. Her mother had bred with a vampire and after giving birth had left her behind for her human father to raise her as best he knew how. As a human being.
Colleen has both human traits and vampire ones.. Collen can eat human food.. Sunlight, silver, and garlic cannot affect her. She knows she has healing powers and extrasensory hearing. Other than that she appears completely human.
