sahlynn ella grew up in a kingdom full of magic most could only dream of, but she was always dreaming about a different kind of magical place: nature, where she helps woodland creatures and be among magnolia flowers hung heavy on trees, and most importantly, where getting her hands dirty, even if it is not befitting one of royal heritage. as the daughter of king henry and queen cinderella, she grew up on fairy tales around her but also her parents ever after. every princess has a duty to fulfill for their kingdom. unfortunately for ashlynn ella, her duty was to become the next cinderella, and though she dreams of the day she will inherit her mom's famous glass slippers. It all comes crashing down when she realizes that her father the king and her siblings will someday have to learn to continue their daily lives without there mother.
the sacrifice to a happy ending, ashlynn has to bear that she’ll meet a handsome prince, have those slippers shes coveted all her life, get a fairy tale wedding, only her mother won't be around for any of those things. she’d have to live with the guilt that the moment she agreed to her destiny on legacy day, it would be the final nail in the coffin. and one day she would have a child as well that would do the same to her. a horrifying twist in the tale that she doesn’t like to think about let alone talk about. though ashlynn’s main goal is to be happy during her time at grimm brothers academy. she’s not sure what that looks like because she always knew she'd have to marry some prince someday. as unlikely as it sounded, she hoped he would be a nature-loving prince; someone with a good heart who would take her into the forest and help animals with her. the road to ever after happiness will be a long one for her. starting fresh in a whole new chapter of her life she knows nothing about.
