And the premature new born baby, Trysten Matteo de la Vega was brought to NICU and the 25 year old father, was not ready. He gave the baby to his sister but after a few years, she met a man and wanted a family of her own and gave Trysten back to his father. Trysten, now 5, and not understanding why he was going to some man he didn’t know, cried a lot. Which caused him to get beat. The crying stopped real quick.
The five years on his own, Matteo made it big. He created a dating website that took off running and the money came pouring in.
He sent Trysten to school for as long as he could. The male stayed home, worked and worked and drank. And when Trysten was brought home, he took on his fathers aggressions.
As Trysten got older he figured out ways to avoid beatings as much as he could. Stay after school, hang out with friends. Go to the park. Most nights he was lucky, and his father was passed out when he quietly came home and tip toed up the stairs to his room.
Some nights, Trysten wouldn’t even come home, he would stay with friends or sleep in his fathers car.
When he couldn’t avoid him he just took what was coming to him, doing his best not to cry no matter how much it hurt.
