Italia Lombardi was born on July 1st, to Antonio and Victoria Lombardi. She's also the only daughter, but second child of the Lombardi family. She has one older brother by the name of Antonio Jr., who happens to be 13 years old at the time of her birth. On the same day, her mother and father had made her brother promise them that if anything should happen to them he would take care of her. Without thinking, her brother had agreed to take care of her if anything should happen. Though not knowing that he would soon have to take in his sister as his own.

Two months after Italia's first birthday, her parents had taken her to the zoo. It was the first time that the parents had taken Italia to such a place that it had made them a bit nervous. Though, seeing the smile on Italia's face had eased them a bit to where they enjoyed the trip to the zoo as well. Even went as far as buying Italia a stuffed animal of a tiger that Italia was grabbing for. On their way home from the zoo, Italia and her family had gotten into a car accident that had left both of her parents dead. However, by some miracle Italia didn't die and from that moment her first ability had manifested in the form of a force-field.

A week later, her brother who was overseas at a school for mutants when he had finally heard of his parents' death. At the time he was just fourteen years old and couldn't take care of a child so when he had asked about Italia, they had claimed she died as well when in fact she was given to the Government to be a test subject. As to figure out why she didn't die as well and only her parents. This meant that not only did her brother mourn for his parents death, but Italia, his little sister as well. Not knowing that she was truly alive . This is due to the fact that the government had paid the paramedics to lie to her brother. She was then taken to a government-controlled area to be raised by Government employees.

By the time Italia turned 5 years old, she was given a tutor by the Government. She wasn't allowed to play outside nor was she allowed to have and friends her own age. She did have toys of her own to play with, but that wasn't the same for Italia. It was also around the time where the government had found out what had kept her safe four years ago. Though, it meant more testing as they also figured out she was mutant. As this was going on, she had no clue that her big brother, that she didn't know she had was looking for her.

On her 13th birthday, due to experiments; Italia had gained the ability to hear people's thoughts. This had scared the poor girl that she would lock herself in the room and wouldn't let anyone in. If they did manage to get in she would shield herself with her force-field, however, it normally doesn't stay up long. Once it goes down, the Government employees find it easy to get to her and give her a shot that would put her to sleep. This would happen every so often, till she managed to learn how to block them out. However, there are times when she would hear voices all once again.

By the time she turned 14 years old, she was rescued by Apocalypse. He had told her the Government had lied to her all her life. He told her that she has an older brother and if she joins him, he'll take her to him. She joined him in a heartbeat as she didn't want to be poked and experimented on anymore. Unknown to her, Apocalypse also lied to her. He was just using her for her abilities as a back up. Just in case other mutants detest him.

Force-Field Manipulation
Italia is able to create, shape and manipulate purple, dome-shaped force-fields, a field of energy without mass that acts as a matter/wall, so that objects affected by the particular force relating to the field are unable to pass through the field and rach the other side.
Limitations
Italia can hold her force-field between 45 mins to an hour depending on what is going on. If Italia is distracted or unfocussed, her powers will become an issue. She also hasn't utilised all the techniques that can be found when using the force fields. When pierced, her force field will crack and disappear in a cloud of purple, shimmering light.

Telepathy
Italia can read/sense another person's thoughts. She can also communicate with them mentally and/or affect their minds/thoughts.
Limitations
She isn't able to listen to all thoughts at once as it becomes overwhelming for Italia. She can be overwhelmed by telepaths, who have more experience. Italia also doesn't have the training necessary, yet, to utilise all the abilites within a telepath's arsenal.
