History Of The Devil

Lucifer, also known as The Devil, Light Bringer, The Morning Star, and Satan, was the second of the four Archangels created by God and was his favorite son. He is also a fallen archangel, and the first fallen angel. He is the original ruler of Hell and the creator of demons, seen by them as a father figure and their god. As the second-born Archangel, he is the younger brother of Michael, and older brother of Raphael and Gabriel. According to Gabriel, Lucifer is, or at least was, God's favorite and most beloved celestial, but when God asked for all angels to bow down to humanity, Lucifer refused both out of jealousy and wounded pride over being commanded to bow to what he saw as a broken, flawed, and murderous species and no longer feeling he was God's favorite creation. This was caused by the Mark of Cain corrupting him and boosting his dislike towards humanity. He waged a war against God but was eventually cast out of Heaven by Michael, and later banished to Hell by Michael, both times on God's command. All of Azazel's actions were motivated with the goal of eventually releasing Lucifer from his cage in Hell.

Like all other angels, Lucifer must have the permission of a strong enough human to use as his vessel, as he can not forcefully possess a person. Being an archangel, Lucifer possesses much more power than any normal angel, every pagan god, and also every demon and species of monster, most of whom deify him, thus being among the most powerful entities the Winchesters have ever encountered. But his power causes regular vessels to decay and required to drink vast amounts of demon blood or possess either his true vessel (Sam) or an alternate more stable vessel (Castiel). Eventually, he was finally freed and allowed to roam the Earth when the final seal (the death of Lilith) was broken by Sam. Freed from his cage, he took action to bring about the Apocalypse and cleanse the Earth (aka "The last perfect handiwork of God") of human beings (the flawed creation). Even after Lucifer was able to possess Sam Winchester, his true vessel, Sam's love for his brother Dean allowed Sam to regain control of his body, and seal himself, Lucifer, Michael, and Adam back in Lucifer's Cage. After the release of Amara about five years later, the cage was damaged and Lucifer (whilst he still couldn't leave it) began reaching out to Sam to get him to return to Hell and release Lucifer so he could return to the world, working with Rowena to achieve this. Though Sam refused, Castiel said "yes" and Lucifer returned to the world in Castiel's body.

After reconciling with God, Lucifer joined him, Sam, and Dean in an attack to defeat Amara. However, Amara, not wanting to be re-imprisoned, overpowered God and in her rage, she pulled Lucifer from Castiel's body when he went to attack her and help his father. It is unknown where he was banished to, but he survived and was able to take possession of Vince Vincente, an aging musician. After the death of Vince, Lucifer began seeking out vessels with power and influence, culminating in President Jefferson Rooney. Lucifer was eventually exorcised from Rooney and returned to his Cage, but not before he conceived a Nephilim with Kelly Kline. It was later revealed that Crowley perverted the spell so that Lucifer became his prisoner in the body of Nick once more. Later however, Lucifer (with the help of a demon) is able to turn the tables on Crowley and seemingly kills him. He then reclaims his position as Ruler of Hell and sets off to find his son.

Sympathy For The Devil
Lyrics

Please allow me to introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste I've been around for a long, long year Stole many a man's soul to waste

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ Had his moment of doubt and pain Made damn sure that Pilate Washed his hands and sealed his fate

Pleased to meet you Hope you guess my name But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game

I stuck around St. Petersburg When I saw it was a time for a change Killed the czar and his ministers Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank Held a general's rank When the blitzkrieg raged And the bodies stank

Pleased to meet you Hope you guess my name, oh yeah Ah, what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, oh yeah

I watched with glee While your kings and queens Fought for ten decades For the gods they made

I shouted out Who killed the Kennedys? When after all It was you and me

Let me please introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste And I laid traps for troubadours Who get killed before they reached Bombay

Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby

Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's confusing you Is just the nature of my game, mm yeah

Just as every cop is a criminal And all the sinners saints As heads is tails Just call me Lucifer 'Cause I'm in need of some restraint

So if you meet me Have some courtesy Have some sympathy, and some taste Use all your well-learned politesse Or I'll lay your soul to waste, mm yeah

Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, mm yeah

But what's puzzling you Is the nature of my game, mm mean it, get down

Oh yeah, get on down Oh yeah

Oh yeah

Tell me baby, what's my name Tell me honey, can ya guess my name Tell me baby, what's my name I tell you one time, you're to blame

Oh, right

What's my name Tell me, baby, what's my name Tell me, sweetie, what's my name

Power Level

As the second archangel, Lucifer is one of the oldest and most powerful beings in the universe. Lucifer is described by Zachariah as "powerful in ways that defy description". He is far superior to both demons and angels, aswell as other supernatural creatures. He is even stronger than the younger Archangels Gabriel and Raphael, with only Michael being somewhat superior to him among his brothers. Likewise he was much weaker than Michael from the Apocalypse World. He is also no match for God, Death, or Amara. As an archangel, Lucifer retains his full power despite his fallen status. The immensity of his power was further shown by how an improper human vessel, Nick, decayed greatly as a result of containing him and had to consume gallons of demon blood to maintain his form. Even when weakened or bound by powerful spells, Lucifer still retains enough power to take down angels and demons alike and corrode through most binding spells if given enough time. Asmodeus, even when empowered by injecting himself with Gabriel's grace, showed fear at the thought of Lucifer regaining his full power, claiming to Arthur Ketch that "we're all dead" if it happened.

“Run little lamb, run as fast as you can. Sooner or later, I will catch you. Run little lamb; you’ll be mine in the end.”

Those words haunted her, as Lily hurried down an animal trail in the dead of night. Half-naked, barefoot and in pain from the beating she took, Lily stumbled here and there. She would let out a whimper and bite her tongue; each step brought a stabbing pain that engulfed her entire body. Any scream would alert her pursuers. She had to hide, had to escape this nightmare.

An uncomfortable, burning sensation in her lungs was telling her to stop. Stop and catch her breath. Lily feared if she did stop, they would catch her and drag her back to her nightmare. That is what she had come to call it, a nightmare. Only, she was awake. It was a never-ending cycle. Day and night, no sleep to escape the pain she felt or the horror of what she witnessed.

The forest was silent all around her as if it knew she was running for her life. The trees themselves, watching her every movement, waiting and watching for something to happen. An eerie feeling of dread swept over her, just enough to make Lily stop dead in her tracks. A tilt of the head, brown hues focused on the darkness ahead of her.

Then the shout of a male, not far behind her, Lily jumped and stumbled backward into the trunk of a tree. The impact bounced her off sending her to the ground. A loud thump sounded, followed by a groan, as Lily hit the ground hard. She closed her eyes as tears slipped down her cheeks. Lily felt warm liquid run down the side of her face.

Slowly, Lily pushed herself up into a sitting position. Her left hand moved up to the cut just above her right eye, one touch and she let out a small yelp. The cut was deep, from what she felt. Letting out a tired, frustrated sigh, Lily knew the cut would need stitches. And the only place she knew where to find the supplies, the place she just escaped from, her nightmare.

Another shout sounded again, this time much closer than the last one. A sense of fear traveled throughout Lily’s body, as she painfully stood up on sore feet. Since she first stepped out of the barn, Lily was now feeling the coldness of the night. The chill sent a set of goose bumps up and down her arms and legs; a shiver shook her body as she hugged herself. Letting out a sigh, Lily turned her head from left to right. Which direction to take? Which one would lead to a road? Which one would take her back to the barn?

Frustrated by her choices, Lily ran a hand through her messy hair. Brown hues alert, watching for a sign. There was nothing. There was no time to waste; she had to move and fast. Turing her body in the direction to her left, she forced her sore feet to move. With each step she took, Lily gritted her teeth and held her breath. With no shoes for protection, her feet had taken a beating from the rocks and twigs that littered the forest floor.

Shadows danced around her as if they were alive and taunted her. Lily let out a tired sigh, brown hues growing dull in color as she wandered along the trees. The voices had long since faded into the night. Whether that was good or bad, she had no idea. All she knew, she needed some distance.

Just the thought of them sent shivers up and down her arms. The feel of their hands on her, the fingers sliding up and down her skin, the look in their eyes as they undressed her. Her first night, Lily will always remember. That memory alone will be her fuel. Her anger. Her hate. She once felt those toward her older brother, who abandoned her when she was just a little kid.

Lily thought she was past that; now these men brought it out. Only with the anger directed toward them. She needed a weapon — anything she could use to kill them, those men that were hunting her. Coming to a halt, Lily looked around her. Nothing but rocks and twigs, some pine cones here and there. “Figures, nothing helpful.”

Shaking her head, Lily knew the only way to survive, run. How much more running? Would she die out here, in the middle of the woods? Alone. Cold. She would be a forgotten memory. All who knew her, most likely thought she was already dead. She knew it. With how things went the last time, no one no longer cared. She was on her own. And truthfully, Lily thought it was best. Sure, she had a life before this. Growing up with older and younger siblings, parents who loved and cared about each one of the children.

Funny how life turned out. The world changes and every single human along with it. Each day was a fight to live. And now, this very moment. It was no different. Sucking in a breath through gritted teeth, Lily ignored the dullness of pain that started to form in her head. No matter, she thought. Lily went to move from the spot, yet, she stopped when a sound came from the right of her. Brown hues shift in the direction as Lily held her breath. They found her.

Bracing herself, Lily waited. But what came out of the brushes, was something unexpected. Another female emerged from the darkness. The other was wearing a tattered dress; scars ran up and down her legs and arms. What stood out the most to Lily, the rounded stomach. The girl was pregnant. With a tilt of the head, Lily narrowed her brown hues at the female. Where did she come from? From what Lily gathered, there was no present female back at the barn.

The female was breathing hard, holding her stomach as she stared at Lily. “Please…please don’t hurt me.” The poor thing was shaking with fear. Lily only shook her head, a frown gracing her features. “Who are you?” Lily asked. For some odd reason, Lily got the feeling this girl was not be trusted. “My, my name is Sara. I’m trying to get away from some bad people. Please, can you help me?” Lily was a little taken back by the question. Help her? How in the hell was Lily suppose to help out a stranger, when she was in danger herself. This confused Lily.

“If you haven’t noticed, I’m in no shape of helping someone else.” It was the truth. Lily was broken and tired. She had no food, no water, no clothes, and no weapon. The girl started to cry, which made Lily feel uncomfortable. Biting her lower lip, Lily took a few steps back from the girl. Dealing with someone crying was way out of Lily’s league. She was not an emotional person. But this girl, she was. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Lily looked away from the girl and off into the distance. She was going to regret this. “Keep up, cause I’m not stopping.”

Sara smiled, glad she was able to tag along. Pregnant or not, Lily was not letting this girl slow her down. She cared not for Sara. Lily only cared about surviving. With what has happened, Lily trusted no one. Without another word, Lily started walking again. This time, she headed off to the right going off the trail. She should have thought about it sooner, following the trails out here could be dangerous. The men probably knew this forest like the back of their hands. The trails were now forbidden.

The girl, Sara said nothing as she followed Lily. The silence calmed her a little, her thoughts no longer a jumble of a mess. Lily was glad the person behind her was quiet. Dealing with an emotional and talkative person was like stabbing a knife through the heart. Call her cold-hearted; Lily had her reasons. Was Sara from the barn? Glancing over her shoulder, Lily noticed that Sara was looking back the way they came. Something was wrong. Lily turned to fully face the girl, taking a couple of steps to the left, getting out of Sara’s way since the girl was not paying attention to where she was walking.

Without making a sound, Lily moved toward a tree and ducked behind it to hide. How long would it take for Sara to notice? Curiously, Lily peeked her head out and saw Sara standing still. A radio in one hand and a pistol in the other. “I lost her. One minute she was in front of me and the next thing I know, she is gone. What should I do now?” Sara was starting to panic. She had one job, and she failed. “Foolish girl, find her at all cost or go back to being our slave – your choice Sara.” There it was, the regret Lily now felt. The girl was from the barn and working for those men.

Letting out a growl, Lily looked away. Anger is boiling up inside her, as brown hues looked down to see a large rock laying by her feet. How she managed to not trip over it, was beyond her. Another step or two, she would have. Closing her eyes, Lily listened to the forests around her. The faint sound of an owl hooted off in the distance. Sara crying, calling out her name. To which Lily never gave. The girl was going to die, Lily knew it. Out here, kill or be killed. It seems how things work nowadays. Not that Lily was complaining, she had killed before. She killed to stay alive. That was it. Killing for the fun of it was not how Lily worked. But, these men seemed to enjoy it.

Because of them, she learned a lesson. One that she will never forget. Letting out a soft sigh, Lily bent down and picked up the rock. It was heavy, but she managed to keep it from dropping back to the ground. Peeking out from behind the tree, Lily saw that Sara was sitting on the ground and still crying. Trying to play like she was scared and hoping Lily would come to find her. Oh, if only she knew. Lily was coming back; only the results were not going to be in Sara’s favor. Stepping out from her hiding place, Lily slowly and quietly made her way toward Sara. She noticed the radio and pistol were no longer in sight.

Lily stopped a few steps from Sara; her brown hues focused on the other female. It was when Sara looked up to see Lily there. At first, she was happy. But as soon as she saw the rock in Lily’s hand, the smile faded. “What are you doing?” Sara asked, still trying to play it all innocent. Lily stood very still, the weight of the rock starting to take a toll on her. How much energy did she have left? “Ending it,” Lily replied. This confused Sara, Lily saw it in her eyes. Without another word, Lily raised the rock up above her head. Sara threw up her hands, shaking her head no. “Lily, please don’t kill me. I have life growing within me.” Sara was pleading.

“I never gave you my name,” Lily stated. That was it, Sara messed up. She knew it. Before she could reach for the pistol, Lily brought the rock down on the girl’s head. The cracking of bone sounded out, as Sara let out a small cry of pain. Lily picked the rock up once more and brought back down again. Another sound of bones cracking, followed by a shallow breath as Sara fell back onto the ground. Blood oozed out of the wound on her head, her eyes open and staring up at Lily. Letting the rock drop from her bloody hands, Lily stepped closer to Sara and kneeled on one knee. She reached out and placed a couple of fingers’ on the girl’s neck. Lily felt no pulse.

Without wasting any time, Lily flipped Sara over on her side and lifted the dress to see the pistol strapped to her back, along with a small radio. Lily grabbed both items before she stood up. Tucking the radio in her bra, Lily focused on the pistol. A Glock 19. Not bad, she thought. Lily went and released the magazine to find it full. It was the only weapon Sara had on her. For now, Lily could make do with the pistol. She stood back up and froze, as she heard clapping.

Slowly, Lily turned to see the men standing there. Sh*t, she thought. Then Lily looked back down at the lifeless body at her feet. She noticed some device in the dead girl’s left hand. It looked like a tracking device. Lily could hear it beeping. Groaning, Lily should have noticed. She was too set on killing the girl as quickly as she could even to notice the thing.

“A shame you killed her. But then again, she was with a kid. Another mouth we don’t have to worry about feeding. You saved us the trouble of a crying baby. Now, be a good girl and come back home. There isn't any place out here for you. You’re out in the middle of nowhere. Give up, come quietly, and we’ll think about going easy on you. How does that sound?” The other three chuckled, as Lily eyed each of them. A total of four men, the ones who ran the show back at the barn.

“Pass.” Lily was not going back with them. It could be her last night, and she was ready. Course, she was going to fight until her last breath. All four guys looked confused. Brown hues focused on each one, noticing that none of them carried a gun in hand. One guy had a bat; another had a pipe. The third held nothing in his hands. And the one that spoke to her, he only had a radio. Did they think so little of her? Sure, she was a female. And may seem weak to them, but Lily was a fighter. Even if she was tired as hell and not much energy left within her body, she was still going to take them on.

Lily got into a stance, brown hues on the men that stood before her. “Are you doing this?” Lily held the pistol up and pointed it in their direction. A smirk formed, as Lily stared at the guy that spoke. She squeezed the trigger. A shout of pain sounded out, as one of the men fell. The three remaining ones all turned to their fallen comrade, to see blood soaking the white shirt he wore. A second shot rang out. Another guy fell. The remaining two males moved, both of them running straight at her. Lily squeezed the trigger for the third time; only she missed as one of the guys reached her.

Feeling the weight of the impact, Lily let out a pained groan as she hit the ground. The guy felt like he weighed a ton. Even though her breath knocked out of her, Lily pushed the pistol into the guy’s stomach and squeezed the trigger. The guy groaned and coughed up blood, splattering Lily. She ignored it, as she pulled the pistol out and pointed it at the remaining guy. Who had frozen to the spot, just a few feet from her? He held no weapon in hand. “Don’t shoot; let’s just forget about this whole mess and go our separate ways?” He was pleading with her. Lily had a feeling this guy was the weak link of the bunch.

“N….not a……chance.” Lily was having a hard time breathing, the weight of the dead guy making it hard. The other guy’s eyes widen at her words. He turned to run, but Lily squeezed the trigger for the last time. The bullet hit the guy in the middle of his back. He fell with a thud. Lily opened her hand; the pistol fell out and hit the ground. Without much strength running through her, Lily struggled to push the dead guy off of her. God, he was heavy as hell. Lily let out a frustrated scream as she pushed with all her might.

It took another couple of tries before the guy rolled off. Lily let out a much-needed breath of fresh air. She laid still, eyes staring up at nothing in particular. She was free. Too tired to even move an inch. Another hoot from an owl, only it sounded close. Lily did it. She was alive, and those men were dead — no more barn — no more torture. No more being hunted down like an animal. She was safe. Letting out another sigh, Lily let the darkness take over as her brown hues closed, the sound of clapping echoed throughout the trees.

When Ruby met back up with Sam in the middle of the street next to where he had park his car. There was clear worry in the hunter’s face. Ruby was admittedly heartbroken at his expression. The one-time Ruby agreed to go on a hunt and “save people.” There seemed to be no one to save. He knew Sam was all for helping others.

He didn’t know what to say to Sam, he seemed rather heartbroken, that he felt like he might have failed. “Listen, I’m not sure what happened, or why this town is completely empty but we I’m sure there are people around here. I mean if we help at least someone…” Ruby tried to comfort the hunter who only nodded silently and looked away. Ruby took another look around, scanning the area for any possible signs of life, anything so that Sam would have some kind of hope.

“Come on, pretty sure I saw a motel just down the road. We can get go back, gather our thoughts and work on some leads as to why a whole town disappeared.” Ruby suggested though he was sure Sam wasn’t listening to a thing he was saying. It wasn’t until Ruby touched Sam’s arm that he looked up and over at the demon. “We’ll figure this out Sam, okay?” He spoke in a soft tone and offered Sam a small smile in which Ruby received a smile back, it was a weak one, but it was a smile.

As they were about to walk to the car the sudden sound of music began to play loudly. It was AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” Something about that was coincidental to the whole town seemingly vanishing into thin air. Ruby and Sam shared a determined look and followed on foot into the direction of the music. The closer they got to the music; the more Ruby began to feel weary about the situation. Something just wasn’t right. Why this song of all the songs to be played? It had trap all over it. But he knew this was the kind of hope Sam was looking for. And As much as he hated this feeling in the pit of his stomach, he wanted Sam to be able to save someone.

The music finally led duo of the demon and hunter to a rather large abandoned warehouse in the middle of nowhere. Of course, a perfect place for a cult to hang out or possibly a trap ready to be sprung. Though Ruby was more than willing to use his demonic magic on anyone who would threaten the one human that he loved. Ruby and Sam walked up to the warehouse and on high alert.

Sam had already pulled his gun out, probably wishing he would have brought something more, then again, he had Ruby who respectfully was a weapon. Ruby took one side of the door while Sam had the other and they opened the door.

Ruby and Sam stepped in just as the last few lines of the song played throughout the warehouse.

“And I'm going down
All the way
Whoa!
I'm on the highway to hell”

They immediately noticed the female surrounded by the alleged cult members. Sam had already had his gun ready to fire if necessary and Ruby stood next to him with an uneasy feeling. Sam was already trying to bargain with the members, to save the victims life. Who was seemingly trying to warn them?

“Sam…” Ruby said softly at first, But Sam insisted on trying to reason with them. He was about to call out to his lover for a second time when suddenly, he felt fear overcome him at the presence nearby.

It couldn’t be..

"A Fiddle of Gold Against Your Soul Says I'm Better Than You."

The fall down into the pit of Hell was shorter than one might think.  It should have felt endless, he should have had time to think, to feel.  To sense all the loss of his life literally falling away from him should he have had the ability to just look up.  Rather it was down his eyes were drawn.  Always down.  Sound so muffled that when Sam did initially find himself screaming, it felt almost as if he had done so against a pillow.  Inky blackness surrounded him, so thick he couldn't even begin to see Adam right next to him.  Still he swore he could feel the hand of his half brother clutching at the front of his jacket during his fall.  Was Michael still in control there?  Was he sticking it out in his vessel or was there some sort of grand escape plan that would get him free from this damned descent?  Would God actually allow Michael to wind up in the Cage with Lucifer for all eternity at no fault of his own?

And what of Lucifer?  Did he think there was still a chance he might get out of this?  Some way to slither out of this at the last instant and avoid his recapture?

No.  That Sam knew without doubt.

Because all he felt inside himself was rage. And it wasn't his own. It was a cold, burning thing that snaked out from the pit of his stomach at unearthly, suffocating levels.  Blossoming out and ripping from Sam Winchester any memory of ever feeling warm.  Fury that separated itself like oil and water sometime during the fall, and by the time he had landed, it was no longer a part of him.  Instead the embodiment of it stood encased in the visage of Nick as he stood over him, his skin no longer marred by the sores he had suffered in Detroit.

"Lucifer!"  Sam gasped as if it was a surprise that the Fallen One actually be there despite this having been his own planned end game.  Pushing himself into a sitting position on the cold floor of the Cage, scurrying backwards from beneath the devil's scrutiny as if there was any hope of escaping it.  There wasn't enough distance to put between them, to get away from the need for cruel vengeance that exuded off the being in front of him so thick it choked the air around them both and stole the younger Winchester's ability to breathe.  Steel bars hit his back and pressed against his spine with such a complete finality that hope and happiness drained from that very small pocket inside him that remembered what those emotions felt like.  Forgotten for what he knew would now be his eternity.

But where was Michael?  Panic welled up and Sam made his legs work.  He used the bars at his back to force himself to his feet and hazel eyes darted around a space too small.  The idea of housing two such strong beings while retaining even a shred of his sanity as he was passed between them seemed suddenly impossible.  His heart threatened to stop, his breath coming out of him in heavy, hyperventilating gasps unable to regain the proper amount of air back into his lungs to make them want to function properly.  Thoughts of Dean came immediately to mind, wanting to call out to his older brother with the sort of instinct always bred into the younger sibling no matter how useless it would be for him to do it.

His terrified optical search did not produce Michael.  Or Adam.  Though they had fallen along with him, neither presence was in this cage.  Had God saved his favorite son, after all?  Intervened on his behalf?  Had there truly been no hope for Sam Winchester, then?  While he had assumed as much in coming up with this scheme in the first place, the fact that God may have in fact agreed with him?  Hopelessness and the truest form of abandonment twisted at the younger Winchester's soul.  His vision blurred with unshed tears, finally letting his gaze settle on the one other person in this too enclosed place who had yet to say or do anything.

Should he speak?  Would Lucifer just snap his fingers and no longer suffer the presence of his supposed true vessel?  The one who managed to wrestle control from the most powerful force beyond God, damning him again inside the proverbial Pandora's Box?  Sam swallowed hard, flexed his fingers at his sides and felt too suddenly the pain in his knuckles.  Remembered all too vividly the way Lucifer had used his body to beat the sh*t out of Dean.  Watching from within himself as he threw his brother against Baby and mangled his face so bad he was barely recognizable.  What was Dean doing now with him gone?  Would he keep his promise?  Or would he try and bring him back even when Sam made him promise not to?  Terror and a moment of weakness made him inwardly beg it would be the latter, his bravery draining with the color in his face and whole body shaking.  So ready to give up, until his mouth opened and a surprising amount of bravery spewed out despite every word coming out so shakily it would be hard pressed for anyone to understand his words at all.

"I did it..."  The words were out of his mouth before he could filter through the sanity of saying them.  Tears rolled down his face freely but a tremulous smile shadowing his lips.  Every inch of his body was quaking with fear of what his eternity in Hell might be.  But somewhere, somehow, he hoped Dean could hear the triumph he still managed to convey in his tone, looking right into Lucifer's eyes with jaw set and fists clenched.  Stumbling away from the bars of the cage with a reserve of strength and courage he knew would be lost to him in the minutes to come.   "I let you out...I put you back in...I f***ing did it..."  A laugh that bordered on madness burst forth, the next words spoken in no more than a soft whisper, "I f***ing saved the world from you..."

(Apologies for the super late reply!! I'm already loving this Storyline haha -Ruby's writer)

Ruby and Sam were at yet another no-name dirt cheap motel. They of course had some time to themselves even before starting on their new case. It was one they’ve yet to encounter. But they now had to get prepared. Sam needed his weapons, and Well Ruby had his demonic powers on his end. Of course, there was no lie that Ruby may have once again let his hunter feed on some of his blood. Because it was both sexually arousing and it also helped Sam, since he was so worried about saving poor innocent souls from dying while being exorcised.

-Earlier in the day-

Ruby sat across from the Young Winchester at a diner. They’d been on the road for a few hours after finishing a rather lack-luster case. In which Ruby just rolled his eyes at. If he was with Sam and doing his own thing instead of being ordered around by Lucifer or anyone else for that matter, he’d tolerated some cases that could have been solved with a snap of his fingers. After ordering food for them both Sam already pulled out his laptop searching for cases possibly nearby. Luckily, he had been quiet as their food arrived. Maybe they could finally relax one night, and not having to worry about “saving people”, It was still something Ruby was against, he was still a demon after all.

“So, get this...” Sam said suddenly making Ruby roll his eyes with a sigh. He knew it would be too good to be true. He waited for a few minutes. “Yea….?” Ruby reluctantly said, an eyebrow arched.

“There have been multiple missing persons in Arkansas…” Sam started only to get interrupted by Ruby.

“Yeah, and? People go missing all the time Sam, sometimes it’s on purpose...” Ruby said popping a French fry into his mouth.

“Okay, well how do you explain half the town going missing.” Sam replied, his eyes glued to the screen.

“Some believe it has to do with a demonic cult that sprung up recently.” His hazel eyes looked up from the screen to glance up at Ruby just for a few seconds.

“Is that so…” Ruby frowned hearing that. Something in the pit of his stomach screamed that his siblings were up to something, something big. Or perhaps it was just yet another lack-luster case.

Sam nodded his head, eyes going back to the screen as he began going into lore about occults and other things as well.

“Sam, less nerd and more information about where exactly in Arkansas this is.” Ruby was now annoyed because that meant he had to rush eat if it was a far drive. Sam gave Ruby a lopsided smile when he mentioned being called a nerd, then he went on to explain the location, that they’ll have to hurry, because the whole city just seemed to be disappearing.

-Present Time-

Ruby got into the Crown Vic while Sam finished gearing up and loading weapons into the trunk. Something about this whole case was very, very wrong. Though he knew if he said something it would make Sam want to do this case even more.

The drive was silent as most of the time when they drove for a long time, that and Sam had a concerned expression when they entered the city, it was more like a ghost town. “ I’m sure it’s something simple…Try not to worry…” Ruby said trying to convince and comfort his over-worrying hunter. In which Sam just made a little “Mhm…” noise. Ruby frowned once more and decided to place a hand on Sam’s shoulder. “We’ll figure this out. You’ll save them, okay?” It was always like Sam to want to save as many as he possibly could, despite all the things he had been through. Though his brother, and everyone else looked down on him because he was sleeping with a demon. Truth was Ruby would protect Sam with his own life. He didn’t care about anyone else.

They came to a stop in front of a store after driving through the town, not finding a single soul. Ruby and Sam got out of the car. Sam went straight for the trunk to grab his gun and a few other things he could stick in his pocket, while Ruby scanned the area. Surely some people were still around? Sam suggested that they should split up to cover more ground that way. Ruby on the other hand didn’t like the idea of splitting up, but sometimes he couldn’t argue with his hunter.

“Fine, just be careful alright.?” Ruby said feeling a bit worried admittedly. Sure, Sam was an excellent Hunter, but he was still human, still vulnerable, he could still get hurt. Sam just simply nodded as he walked off, his gun in hand. There were no worries about pretending to be The FBI or some other persona for this case. Ruby watched as Sam walked off, then he turned and headed in a different direction.

Ruby spent the better half of 2 years in Purgatory. Where he’d hide to hide and killed to survive. He thought that he’d never get out of such a horrible world, he felt being tortured in Hell for his betrayal sounded like paradise compared to being hunted by pissed off monsters. He had a silver-lining in the form of Dean Winchester. Some how himself and his Angel buddy Castiel had been sent to this prison. He watched from a far, thinking revenge would have been sweet. But Benny, a vampire showed up when he did, he learned there was an escape. Ruby bided his time, waited for an opportunity to escape.

He watched as Benny, and Dean jump through the portal, leaving poor Castiel behind. This sparked an idea. He soon found himself teaming up with the Angel after convincing him that they didn’t belong in Purgatory, that they were better than the monsters here. They had managed to somehow made it back to earth. They soon split ways and made an agreement to never speak of them working together again. It was just a one time deal, just to survive.

When they split ways, Ruby only had one thing, one person on his mind. Sam Winchester. It had been way to long since they’d seen each other. When he finally caught up to the Younger Winchester it took an awful lot of explaining and convincing that he wasn’t affiliated with Hell or even Lucifer for a matter of fact. When Sam finally was convinced that Ruby was no longer serving Lucifer they would secretly meet up, it was just like old times again, only this time he didn’t have to worry about betraying him. They even went on hunts together among other things.

Little did Ruby know that he had been followed the whole time he returned topside, other demon’s noticed he was back, and it was raising red flags. Though instead of going straight to Lucifer they ended up confronting and telling  Ruby that they will report his return to Lucifer, so that way he would be punished for being a traitor to their creator. Ruby figured was still stuck in the cage due to Sam still being human so he shrugged it off, and used his demon blade to kill his own siblings. Though one demon got away and went straight for Lucifer himself.

The demon stood before his creator, nervously twirling his thumbs.

“Sir, I have some news for you, I…I know..You’re very busy.” The demon stumbled with his words in fear. “B-But…There’s a concern…I-it’s Ruby sir…He’s back from the dead somehow..” He swallowed hard. “He’s b-been seen with Sam Winchester…d-doing hunts…I even saw him kill some of us..” He paused. “He..said he doesn’t care about Hell, or you Sir, he’s a traitor. His words!!! Not mine!!” He suddenly panicked.

“ I..I just thought I’d be a good servant and point out this traitor too you.” He said bowing and waiting for his creator’s order.
