About me: V.A. Wyndham is a high end accountant for the well to do and his client list is incredibly selective. He is very well known in business and respected in his status as a businessman and a philanthropist. He owns the chain of Wyndham hotels, along with a few other high end companies and keeps them in his estranged son's name, just in case his world ever crumbles around him. You see, while he has a great reputation and is very legitimate by day, he night time dealings are far less... acceptable.
Mr. Wyndham got involved with the wrong crowd quite by chance through his dealings with rare art. Perhaps it was desire that drove him there but once he was in, he could not get out. That said, he refused to take orders from anyone and almost overnight, he took out a handful of people and took over as the new man in charge. He can be ruthless and without care and the men under him fear his revenge. He has something on everyone and uses what he needs.
His only living heir got out and away from him once he got into this life, and because he knew his son was safer that way, he didn't fight him on it. He still watches over his son, but keeps a healthy distance. If anything should go wrong, it is all set to go to his son to do with as he pleases.
Connections are not really something Mr. Wyndham does anymore, but there is one person who, like him, is on the inside. Someone he adores and detests at the same moment. He wants this young man to have a better life, but this man has no intention of giving up what he does. At least not yet. All Mr. Wyndham can do is keep an eye on him from within and try to keep him safe.
Incidentally, the V.A. of his name stands for Vincent Andrew, but unless you know him on a very personal level, you will never know that detail.

Trevor - My son Trevor has found his own way in life, not relying on the family name or his fortune. I have both a large trust fund and insurance that will go to him if anything happens to me. I love him and I couldn't be more proud but it is best he lives a happy life away from mine. Someday, he will understand why I needed him to be free and happy. Someday.
