He shrugged "Hey, I'm still getting used to the idea..alright, I mean..I could call you something elese...like uh..I mean technically, it's just the slime balls that are related. If ya think about it." "Pops" Hazard interuppted. Zhane rolled his eyes "Jeez, what is it with you guys and butting in on human conversations? I'm trying to actually get to know Eddie. Mind your buisness."
"She's in your head?" Gwen blinked in confusion but was also intrigued. "That's actually kind of cool, but also kind of weird. Not going to lie. Can I ask how she's in your head? Is there a chip planted in there?"
Gwen peeked over at what Zhane was doing, an eyebrow peering up at the weird voice coming from his wrist. "That's pretty high tech. How much did that cost ya?"
// Since Gwen has a device that allows her to jump to different Earths, there is that possibility.
It can be a case of getting sucked into a different Earth and trying to find a way home kind of thing?
Just hanging out, watching over the city; the spider woman saw a flash of blue and silver. And before she could say anything, her eyes widened from the ice cream cone. "Don't worry, I won't. I never say anything to mister broody." She laughed, taking the ice cream from him. "And yes! I'm sure we can get something amazing going."
Peter could only be helpless to think about what will happen once Tony watched the footage of their fight. Likely he's already found out something happened with Karen's programming. And the last time Peter bypassed the security protocols in his suit, it was taken from him and he had to go back to that awful bootlegged hoodie he started out with. Tony's probably already looking through the recorded footage now. He'll be in a tough spot just for lying to his mentor, let alone putting Zhane in danger. However, Tony usually was understanding, but he knew it fell on him if anything happened to himself or Zhane.
Peter pulled a blanket over himself and looked over to his suit. He kept wondering how the symbiote was able to easily override all of Karen's security protocols, even the ones that were designed as fail-safe. He was going to be in for an earful in the morning, so he may as well rest up before then, because it was going to be a long day. And aside from all of that, the symbiote was still out there, and he was going to return. One thing was certain; he wanted Peter. He looked over to Zhane, who was just seconds from falling completely asleep. "I'm sorry..." He whispered to his protege before closing his own eyes.
Several thoughts ran through Peter’s mind as Zhane held him close. Here he was, with a mild case of body soreness, yet here was his protégé, on the verge of collapse. Venom must’ve been an incredibly powerful foe while he was taking over his body. All he could remember was that he felt he was the strongest in all the universe. He felt the darkness within him, but Venom forced his consciousness aside to keep him from becoming aware of the foreign entity. He looked upon him and all he could feel was guilt. Peter felt this was essentially his fault.
“This is all my fault…” He said. His tone was anything but happy. He was glad to be saved, but he was the one that’s supposed to be looking after Zhane. Tony put him in his care because of their similar abilities, and instead of protecting him until he was ready for the more powerful villains, he handed Zhane to one on a silver platter. “I’m a lousy hero…” He said as his masked glowed.
“Finally…” Said an all too familiar voice in his hero career. It was Tony Stark, leader of the Avengers and his own mentor. “What happened? You haven’t reported on the fire and the communication system completely blacked out…” Peter quickly tried coming up with something to say. If Tony learned what happened to him, or even Zhane, he was definitely going to have a cow. That was the last thing he needed. “Something….happened in the wiring of the mask and it was short-circuiting…but I was able to troubleshoot the problem without any issues…the fire was put out in no time.”
Tony smiled, but Peter had an idea he knew he was bluffing. Why he didn’t call him out immediately was the question. “That’s great. Anyway, get some rest and we’ll meet in the morning.” The billionaire hero didn’t give Peter much time to say his farewell. The call was over immediately afterward. Peter looked at his protégé, wondering what he could do to heal him faster. Seeing him like this destroyed him on the inside. “Is there anything I can do, Zhane?” He said kneeling down beside the bed.
"You should get some rest."��Said a soft but firm voice. �Her heels clicked on the steel floor of The S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier. �She stopped to the right side of her Captain, but her gaze was still on the monster they just captured.��"I know what you're thinking, but you're in charge now, we got out alive because of you."��Parker looked toward his fellow spider, Ms. Romanov.��"Sure."��He'd begin to walk the other way out the sliding doors, but he looked over his shoulder because he can feel the piercing stair of The Red Skull. �Peter Parker was always known as Spider-man but now in this world he is Spider-Patriot. �Not only in America but the entire world looks up to him to fight the good fight. �Parker went to the bunker of S.H.I.L.E.D and once the doors slid open there were material objects in protective glass. �In the center was a shield. �Pete gripped the mask under his chin and slid it off looking at the shield in its protective glass.
"Well, hopefully I'm making you proud. �You've been dead for...months now and this was our first big battle and I kept thinking what you would do in that situation. �You've trained me for years since high school on how to be a better fighter, better man, a better hero and I can't thank you enough for that. �It's still weird to me that I lead The Avengers. �A nerdy geeky kid from New York leading the greatest superhero team in the world."��He paused for a moment.�"I'll admit, when I finally captured him, I wanted to kill him. �I wanted to wrap my hands around his skinny red neck and choke the life out of him because he took you from us.� In a sense you took over Uncle Ben's role as a father figure, Steve. �I don't know why out of Romanov, Barton, Wilson, Stark...well not him, but out of all us you thought I was best to pick up the mantle as Captain America."��He lowered his head in silence and after a few moments he continued.��"I'm sorry dude but I couldn't go web swinging around as Captain America...I mean the name doesn't make sense for my powers...right? �I'm sure you understand.. �Really, a spider powered human that has no spider name� affiliation whatsoever just doesn't fit. �All the names that the team and I came up with was not cool.. �Spider-Captain, Captain-Spider, American Arachnid because of the "A.A" just no. �But Spider-Patriot won the coin toss I guess.� But in all seriousness, we miss you Cap and hope we make you proud."��The red alarm went off around every speaker in the Carrier.��"Well gotta go whoop some ass. �Talk to you later, Cap."��Peter saluted Captain America in honor and respect and placed his mask back on.
He walked in to main deck toward Fury.�"What we got?"��Fury looked over his shoulder. �"Hydra forces heading straight for us. �Just seems off. � So we're taking precautionary measures. �Get The Avengers ready and get Red Skull."��Peter nodded his head and jogged to where the prison cell is and noticed Red Skull still there. �The villain looked up toward Parker with a sinister smile. �On the main deck half of S.H.I.E.L.D's men took out assault rifles and began to open fire on their enemies to reveal they're Hydra plants. �"Spide...(static)�ma...(static)�sh...(static)�comp...(static)�shield is co...(static)"��The static over the comlinks was compromised. �"Fury! �Fury you're break up!"��He looked toward Red Skull once more and his frown can be shown through his mask. �"You son of a b*tch, what did you do."�
The Spider-Sense went off in a more acute radar. �He can smell, hear, and see everything around him 360 degrees and to his optics it was as if time slowed down. �But in these seconds he had to make a decision, get Red Skull out of the steel chamber to assure he doesn't escape or get Romanov. �"Natasha!"��He ran toward her while sliding his shield off his back. �He wrapped an arm� around her waist as he lifted his shield up with the other to protect them both from what is about to happen next.

Flames engulfed the room and a massive whole was now in the prison room. �Hydra soldiers came in shooting toward Black Widow and Spider-man. �The vibranium shield protected them from the oncoming bullets of the soldiers. �A massive magnet clicked on to the prison chamber of Red Skull, he'd wave in a c*cky smile as he was now lifted out of the Helicarrier. �"I can't let him get away, Nat."��She nodded, understanding. �"Go, I'll help here but kill the S.O.B this time."��Parker ran toward the massive hole that exploded. �He'd lengthen his right arm while pressing in the center of his right palm. �From the right wrist of his web shooter a thin web line would be released. �It would stick to the chamber of Red Skull as the Hydra plane flew away from the Helicarrier. �Parker used the web line to zip line himself toward the chamber. �
With a thud, Parker landed on the side. �Red Skull began to laugh hysterically as Parker began to pound the edge of his shield upon the glass. �It was Fury's idea to make this strong enough to the point that Hulk can't break it...yay.� In his strong German accent�"I will finish you new captain, but another day."��The soldiers of Hydra began to cut through the steel and helped Red Skull unto the plane. �The magnet would drop with Peter still on it, but he'd shoot two web lines one from each wrist to connect to the plane. �He'd bend his knees to his chest as he curled his arms around his legs. �The front flip was a success after the landing on the ramp of the Hydra plane. �The soldiers shot again toward Spidey so he threw his shield and it bounced off the right wall and like a zigzag it'd slam in to the jaws of four soldiers and Parker caught his shield in his left palm. �The other four would stay in front of Red Skull with their guns drawn out. �"You can't even fill his shoes."��said the villain. �Parker narrowed his eyes ready to attack.�"P�(static)...Pete�(static)...The Cari�(static)...go�(static)...down!�(static)"��It was Romanov's voice in the comlink even though he heard a little he understood what she said. �
The sky ships of Hydra would continue to bomb S.H.I.E.L.D as Romanov, Fury, and Barton helped fight off the intruders. �Peter began to think how did this happened, how did they get passed S.H.I.E.L.D's radar. �But now he had another choice to make, either to get Red Skull before he escapes or go back to the Helicarrier. �"I have something you and your fellow heroes want."��He dug in to his jacket's pocket and took out a blue cube radiating its powerful cosmic. �"Take the cube from me or save your comrades...make your decision."��Said Hydra's Leader. �Parker ran toward the exit of the ramp and leaped off attaching a web to Red Skull's ankle. �"How about both."��Skull slid off and the two began to tussle in midair �Red Skull lifted his hand...the same hand that is holding the cube to come down on Spider-man's shield. �The block caused an energy shock wave that hit the Helicarrier as well as the Hydra forces. �Peter put the bottom of his feet in to Red Skulls chest to press off of him and Peter moved his shield over his shoulder to slam in to the pavement of the docks of New York while Red Skull made a splash in to the ocean. �Peter looked up and saw the unthinkable happen.
The S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier was smoking in flames and crashed in to The Statue of Liberty then in to the water. �Red Skull laughed as he looked at the carnage he created. �Peter stood up in shock. �"Fury, Natasha, Barton!"��From the docks, Peter saw Red Skull climbing a latter unto the same Hydra plane. �Parker spun two web lines once again and zip lined himself to the plane. �He stuck to the side and flipped inside, planting his feet in to one of the Hydra soldiers. �Red Skull began placed the cube in some sort of metal holder and began to turn the device on. �It was over powering and The Hydra soldiers begin to pull their triggers while Peter was sticking to the wall of the plane and Red Skull was trying to turn the device off. �But it blew him back out of the plane along with his men and the cosmic cube tore the plane in half by creating a portal. �Parker held on, but he felt himself slipping. �
It was dark, his hues opened slowly. �He placed his palms to the ground and got to his knees. �He heard a honk from a car and Peter looked forward and rolled out of the way. �Now on the opposite side of the road he jumped dodging a car. �He'd stumble in his landing from still being too dizzy. �He grabbed the side of his head and shook it a little to get the dizziness out of his system. �He'd look down seeing a stack of newspapers that said "Spider-man Saves The Day" �The suit of this particular Spider was red and blue. �He noticed in that moment that this wasn't Kansas anymore, it was Oz.
The problem with Venom's true form was his sheer size. He sacrificed speed for power and he didn't count on Zhane's cunning speed launch a counter attack he couldn't avoid. And he came with the one thing that was sure to bring him to his knees: fire. There was nothing he could do to shield from that. The material that made up the symbiote was incredibly sensitive to fire and enough of it could destroy him for good, but he would never sit long enough for that to happen. Yet, there was a drastic measure needed to escape Zhane's attack.
"AAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Venom screeched a loud growl into the sky as Zhane's suit became covered in flames. "YOU BRAT!...I'LL KILL Y---AAAAAUUUUGGGHHH" The alien symbiote could no longer form sentences, much less walk. The flames were too much. The symbiote immediately detached itself from Peter's body and launched itself from the host. It was now a blob of black goo. "I'll make sure you pay for this, brat�" The alien said this to itself as it made its escape into the sewers.
"Augh�" Peter mumbled as he held onto his head. "My head�"He fell to his knees as he was let go of. "Why am I so exhausted�"� He looked around as his blurry vision became clearer. "Zhane? What in the world happened?"
Venom let out a sinister laugh as Zhane pleaded for Peter to answer. "Sorry, kid. Petey's tagged out for a while." He approached the young hero as he broke the ground beneath him as he stomped. "Look at you. Is your demeanor immediately shot by a few petty insults? Pathetic!" Venom clenched a fist as a goo like substance gathered around it. "Peter chose you as his prot�g�? HA! Now that's comedy!" The symbiote began his fist toward Zhane but was stopped in his tracks by the sonar pulse.
"AUGH! You crafty brat�I'll kill you!" He fell to the ground and his hold on Peter began to weaken. At that moment, Peter's consciousness began to struggle with the symbiote for control. "AUUUUUGGHHH!" Peter shouted, his tone continuously shifting between his and Venom's. Just as it seemed Peter would take control again, Venom forced his body movements to move away and swing up to the roof of the burned building.
"I've got to hand it to you, brat. You're a lot smarter than I took you for." Venom panted, finally gaining control of Peter. "But now you're at the top of my kill list! I'll make sure it's nice, slow, and painful." Venom gathered its strength as he combined it with Peter's to become bulkier and taller. He had finally assumed his true form. "Ah, it's nice to be back at full strength." He jumped off the building and landed in front of Zhane, breaking the ground beneath him more so than before. "Try that noise trick again and see if it works a second time." Venom bellowed out a laugh deeper and darker than before.
