He was the prosecution, and began to ask her pointed questions. "And at that point, did you ever feel remorse for attacking that warrior and turning him to stone?" Karone glared. "Not at first. You have to remember, Dark Specter had made sure that I forgot who I was when he had Darkonda kidnap me. I do feel remorse for that warrior. I'm not that heartless person anymore." "I have no questions for this further witness." He left the bench and Andros stepped forward, acting as Karone's defense attorney. "Do you remember that family? The mother and two little kids? You stopped the Quantrons from hurting them. Do you believe that was the beginning of the demise of Astronema and the rebirth of Karone?" Karone smiled gratefully at Andros. "I do. I believe it was because of our meeting that it happened. You found the necklace I dropped, which had both of our pictures. Hopefully we can make another one to include Megan." She gazed at Megan, her eyes full of warmth and pride for the Violet Space Ranger.
Megan smiled back at her sister, nodding encouragement. Andros cleared his throat. "Hopefully so. Last question. If there was one thing you could take back, change whatever offense Astronema did, what would it be?" "Objection!" Sion shouted, clearly angry. "This man is clearly leading the accused." The judge shook his head. "Overruled. I think it's a fair question." The judge looked at Karone sympathetically. He knew she wasn't to blame for Astronema's crimes, yet the galaxy deserved to have some answers. Karone took a deep breath. "If I could change one thing, it would be the massacre of Megan-Demi's father and our mother." She replied, sighing. "I could have ordered the Quantrons to stop. I also could have tried to resist being brainwashed again when Darkonda reprogrammed Ecliptor, yet I didn't." The statement had broken Andros's heart. "No more questions, your Honor." He left the bench and got back on the Defendant's table, sitting down on the chair as Karone left the bench as well, sitting beside her brother. "Closing arguments may begin, now." Sion rose up. "This is not a trial of innocence lost, but a trial in which one woman participated in one of the most infamous acts in galactic history, by oppressing many people across the galaxy and also for the United Alliance of Evil's attack on K0-35 two years earlier. So, ladies and gentlemen, when you make your verdict, think about all the innocent lives lost. This woman deserves to be behind bars for life." He ended his statement and sat down. Andros got up. The Red Space Ranger knew he had to appeal to the jury not only emotionally, but logically.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have all been through so much heartache, so much loss, and despair. My sister was a victim in all this, the same as everyone else here. She was kidnapped as a child, and never had any real childhood when she was kidnapped by Darkonda that day. Does that excuse the crimes? No, of course not. But is it really fair to judge her on something she had no control of? Is it fair to sentence her to a life of incarceration, after being a prisoner to the forces of evil all her life? I beg you to vote a motion of not guilty. More importantly, I make this request not as a Power Ranger, but as her brother. Don't take away what's left of Megan-Demi's and my family. That's all." He then went back to sit down. The court adjourned, while the jury went to the conference room to decide Karone's fate. Andros grabbed her hand and squeezed it softly. I promise you, Karone, I won't let you suffer for the things you were forced to do. He thought to himself.
Just as the deliberations were coming to a close, lightning struck the courtroom. People were screaming. Andros looked at the others. The other Rangers nodded, already knowing the unspoken order: Get people to safety. The lighting was then imbued in six individual colors: red, blue black, yellow, pink and green. Andros was shocked. The figures laughed evilly. "Did you miss us?" The voice of Psycho Red asked, while the voice of Psycho Black added, "You saved us the trouble of tracking you down." Psycho Blue's voice rang in the air, chiming in. "Your demise is at an end, Rangers." Andros had to duck when a yellow bolt of lightning thrust at him. "We're back, stronger than ever. And not only that..." Psycho Yellow stated, with Psycho Pink finishing, "We came with a special friend...." A blast of green hit Andros hard, and he groaned. "It's me, Psycho Green, and I've been waiting a long time for this. This time, no Power Ranger will escape."
Andros got up. He couldn't believe the Psychos were back. "How is that possible? We saw you get transported in those missing key cards. Zhane couldn't even find you. And where did you meet Psycho Green?" Psycho Green cackled. "There's so much you don't understand, Ranger." He looked at Karone. "As for you, Princess, you'll be coming with us." A figure kicked the Psycho Ranger. It was Zhane. "You guys are in for a total disappointment and rude awakening." The Silver Ranger stated. The others also leapt. Ashley stood next to Andros's left side, as T.J. stood on next to his right side,, with Megan and Cassie standing near Ashley while Carlos stood next to T.J. "That's right. You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us." Andros grinned. "Ready?" He asked. The others nodded, and shouted, "READY!" They did the morphing stance and shouted, "LET'S ROCKET!" Instantly, Andros morphed into the Red Ranger. TJ morphed into the Blue Ranger, Carlos morphed into the Black Ranger, Ashley morphed into the Yellow Ranger, Cassie morphed into the Pink Ranger, Zhane morphed into the Silver Ranger, and finally Megan morphed into the Violet Ranger. "Let's show them what seven Rangers can do." Andros stated, knowing this battle would be one without a doubt become a test of keeping their resolve.
