The Wrestlemania Press Conference in Las Vegas was filled with surprises, but few caught the attention of the public more than the quiet entry of a mysterious janitor sweeping the stage before revealing himself as Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and San Francisco 49ers legend, Tatsu Jones!

Having flirted with the possibility of arriving in the Sports Entertainment capital, the Bay Area Thrasher shocked the world by arriving in the company with very little fanfare... And the Unfortunate Son would have it no other way.

And given the success of his NFL career, no one expected his wrestling career to be as successful, having held gold in Britain and Japan before signing with WWE and discussing his goals the next day. In his first match, he beat Bobby Lashley to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. In his second, he buried a long hatchet with the Viper, Randy Orton. His first loss came in the Elimination Chamber, but he still remains laser focused on his future. And with 2 IWGP World Heavyweight championship reigns under his belt, we can only wait to see when he achieves his success.

On Night 2 of Wrestlemania 40, Tatsu showed traces of his demonic tendencies when he took a brass knuckle shot from Logan Paul, stood up, and stared down the media sensation before choking him out, forcing a submission, and becoming the United States Champion not even 2 months into his WWE Career. He would abdicate the title to declare his spot in All Japan Pro Wrestling's Champion Carnival, but it is only a matter of time until he either reclaims the title or goes for something bigger.

He is known for an almost ghoulish devotion to accomplishing his goals, and anybody who should invite his wrath will see how deadly he can be. It makes sense, his father is none other than the Killer Croc!

The question is, who would be dumb enough to face the wrath of the Ghoulish Thrasher?

Cpl Jones USMC

I served as a reservist in the Marine Corps after my final year of homeschooling. I went to boot camp at Parris Island in 2003 while also committing to Gotham State University to play football. However, I knew that with the open contract I signed, becoming an officer was highly unlikely, especially since I had an opportunity to make it to the NFL before I graduated. While I did eventually finish college, it was a year into my NFL career after I got out.

My open contract was quickly changed into an Aviation Ordnance contract, and needless to say, it wasn't as exciting as someone on active duty would say. True, I did get to go to Afghanistan, but while that was going on, I had gotten the message that the San Francisco 49ers drafted me in the first round. I was most certainly missing part of training camp and mandatory OTAs.

Still, getting QASO qualled was nice. Even though it took  me 3 years because, hot damn, I was a F***ING RESERVIST!

If I could go back, I'd go active.

And not be a f***ing Ordie!

BUT at least I got First Class PFTs every time, which was nice. And Rifle Sharpshooter ain't too shabby neither.

Where the sh*t is my Grunt Style endorsement?

Biography

After a long and productive career in NFL, the eccentric son of WAYLON secretly moved in and out of the New Japan Dojo to transition as smooth as possible from gridiron football to professional wrestling. Originally debuting in Revolution Pro in England, he was introduced as the third member of Killer Elite Squad by Lance Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr. before being welcomed into Suzuki Gun. A successful run in Ring of Honor that saw him win their Television Championship eventually solidified him as a member of Suzuki Gun, but his frustrations within the unit caused him to take the teachings of Iizuka Takashi too literal as he immediately took the rest of the unit out before realigning himself with his father and his old Dojo mates Jay White and HikuLeo in Bullet Club. Since then, he has been around to do all of the dirty work for his Bullet Club Brothers in the new Cut Throat era, although his individual accomplishments of winning the NEVER Openweight Title and the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship cannot be overlooked. And given his noticeable chip on the shoulder, he probably should not be overlooked again.

In a shocking twist, he also attacked Juice Robinson on the first day of Wrestle Kingdom 14 to take his spot in the US title match the following day, which the Unfortunate Son won against Jon Moxley in a hardcore match that saw both men bleed profusely.

While he claims he is on "Borrowed Time" in the wrestling industry given his NFL background and their history of CTE, he has so far been an effective performer, mixing an intense personaltiy, Muay Thai strikes, and aggressive Greco-Roman slams to inspire fear in all of his opponents.

After some time away from New Japan Pro Wrestling due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Tatsu Jones has kept his promises and returned to the promotion for the G-1 Climax Tournament, unleashing a new move called "God Shattering Star" on the talent.

After beating Jay White and immediately leaving Bullet Club in early 2022, he swore a vendetta against all of its members when they removed GOD from their faction by force, saying that they threw away the best part. After losing a tag title match alongside Tanga Loa, he immediately swore revenge against Jay White and announced entry into the G1 Climax before finishing his AEW contract and re-signing with New Japan after Forbidden Door.

Running an impressive G1 Climax and winning the trophy was a short lived victory for the Unfortunate Son, as a nagging knee injury and a hernia sidelined his plans for Wrestle Kingdom. Even so, with a quicker than expected recovery, he returned just in time to join Suzuki Gun one last time and end his days in the stable on good terms, remaining close friends with his former adversary and mentor, Minoru Suzuki even after the stable's dissolution.

After a hard won victory against his childhood hero Chris Jericho, Tatsu was finally granted his IWGP Heavyweight Championship match against Kazuchika Okada at New Beginning in Sapporo. Later, he would take his friend Hikuleo's spot in a Loser Leaves Japan match against Jay White, which he won. A defense against Hiroshi Tanahashi in the Bay Area and a match against Moose in World's Collide tuned the Unfortunate Son up for the most difficult battle of his life: His own father in a repeat of his Sakura Genesis debut.

While luck may not be a constant in the life of Tatsu Jones, his effort and sheer joy for the industry have kept him on a path for success.
