task - occupation moodpboard

Tyler is a movie producer and director. He has been involved in the entertainment industry since he was a young boy, having been involved in his father's films as a child. As a producer, he is responsible for a lot of the finalncial aspects of many of the films he makes (though he has only made two so far and is currently working on his third!) On any film that he produces, he also works as the director (he will agree to direct a film without producing it, but he will never produce a film he doesn't direct), which means he serves as the creative vision for the film. He is extremely involved and dabbles in many parts of the movie making process, but yelling cut is his favorite part.

task three

Pin on My Man

“Damn it!” Tyler snapped as he threw the magazine across the room, narrowly missing his assistant. He was used to his love life being splashed across the front page of a magazine. He’d grown up in the spotlight - his father was a well-known movie producer and when he had followed in his father’s footsteps, he knew it would only continue. His private life was very rarely private and that he could cope with. He didn’t care if news of his latest fling was on the front cover of every single tabloid in the world, he knew his ‘wife’ would see it that way, but what he couldn’t stand, was when it was the other way around, whether it was true or not. “I want you to find out everything you know about him,” Tyler spat and although he was attempting to hide his anger, jealousy was beginning to get the better of him.

Heartbreak. This wasn’t something that Tyler had although much experience with, at least that was what he told himself. He’d only been in love twice. He’d dated quite a few women, and slept with even more, but love? That was something he never opened his heart up to. He had watched his parents' marriage crumble far too many times to let himself fall victim to love, but Nevaeh had been the exception. She had been his second serious relationship (the first had been during his high school years), and she had been the one he couldn’t quite let go of. They’d been on and off for years and although they had both been with other people, he always found his way back to her bed. “Taking a deep breath, Tyler slowly pushed himself up from his chair and walked around his desk to pick up the magazine. “I want to know if he is just a friend,” he stated, pausing briefly. “Or if she is..” he could feel a pain in his chest as he contemplated his next words. “Fxcking him.”

It wasn’t the same as it used to be. They weren’t just dating anymore, she was his wife. His wife. Not that it had stopped him from screwing around when they weren’t even together, but the thought of her sleeping with someone else sent him into a jealous rage and he needed to know if anything was going on.

task two: Tyler's car

Tyler currently drives a Lamborghini Aventador. Although Tyler is 28 years old, he had never owned a car until he purchased it after arriving in England a few weeks ago. Back in the States, Tyler was usually driven around by a driver his father had hired, but now that he was on a different continent, he wanted his own car and had dreamed of owning a Lamborghini ever since he had crashed his father's when he was only 17 years old. The inside is a mixture of black and red (though mostly black) and contains the bare minimum. There are two cup holders and he keeps a spare charger in case his phone goes flat. His car is his pride and joy because it is the first thing he has ever owned that his parents had absolutely no help in paying for and he can't wait to create some memories in it.

task: physical pain

The last time Tyler felt physical pain was 11 years ago

The car was spinning out of control and no matter how hard he slammed his foot on the brakes, he couldn’t seem to stop it from driving off the cliff. His life was literally flashing before his eyes as they plunged to their death. It had to be at least a fifty-foot drop, not that he was thinking about that. His father was going to kill him (if he survived) for wrecking his $300,000 Lamborghini. It was one of the most luxurious cars in the market and it was his father’s pride and joy, but that was also the last thing on his mind. This was it. One drug and alcohol fueled weekend while his parents were away, and his life was going to end at only 17 years old. He didn’t know how things had gotten to this point, but there was no turning back now.

Tyler had no idea how had managed to survive the drop, but the metallic taste of blood in his mouth let him know that h would not be getting out of this unscathed. Turning his head, his eyes flickered towards his best friend. “Danny?” Tyler whispered. He could barely catch his breath to speak, but he knew he needed to try and wake his best friend up, hoping that he hadn’t been killed on impact. “Danny, wake up!” he urged, his voice a little heavier as he reached out his hand and attempted to give him a gentle nudge, but the moment that he moved his arm, a sharp pain shot up it and Tyler groaned in agony. “Danny! You need to wake up! Please, Dan!” His friend was covered in blood and his body was halfway out of the car. He’d taken off his seat belt to get some more beer from the backseat when Tyler had lost control of the car and as a result, Danny had gone through the windscreen. “Danny...please...” he whispered as a tear escaped and his eyes slowly closed.

The next day.

Mom?” Tyler whispered as his eyes slowly opened and his focus fell on a woman hunched over in a chair beside his bed. “Momma?” He added. He was confused and disorientated; having no idea where he was or why he was there, but before he had a chance to ask any of the questions that were racing through his brain, he felt his mother’s arms around him tightly. Tyler winced in pain, but he tightened his grip on her as memories of the day came rushing back. Blood, glass, the Lambo, and Danny. His best friend. “Danny?” Tyler whispered though he was pretty sure he already knew the answer to his own question. How could anyone have survived that? How did he survive that?! He didn’t even know how he had gotten out of the car, or who had come to his aid, but he was grateful nonetheless. “Is he...is..” Tyler couldn’t even finish the sentence but when his mother nodded, he broke down. He’d killed his best friend and no amount of physical pain would ever compare to the guilt he would carry around for the rest of his life. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry..”

Deep Dive 10 - Vacation

Disney World  Vacation!

Growing up, Tyler had always gone away every single year for his summer vacation. He’d spent Summers in France, Brazil, Spain, Italy, you name a beautiful country and Tyler had been there. He guessed that was one of the perks of having a wealthy family but the one place that he never had been to and had always wanted to go, to was Disney World. Wasn’t it supposed to be the happiest place on earth? Or something along those lines. It was every kid's dream, and despite all of the fame and wealth his father had, it was the one place he had always refused to take Tyler. So, with an all-expense paid trip that was where Tyler planned to spend his summer vacation this year. Going to the happiest place on earth wouldn’t be any fun alone, so he planned to take his sister and Neveah too.

grinch Thursday Drabble

It had been along day at the studio and all Tyler wanted to do was grab a cold bottle of beer, a takeaway, and watch some t.v for the rest of the night. That wasn’t his typical Thursday evening, but with the Christmas holidays quickly approaching, he had been putting in a lot of extra hours, wanting to get the film he was working on all wrapped up before the following Friday. That was their deadline and things hadn’t been going to plan, so after a 15 hour work day, he was exhausted and had no intentions on going out anywhere or seeing anyone. So, after making a quick stop to get some food, he headed back to his rather large house (a house far too big for just himself!) and headed inside, but his mood quickly went downhill when he caught the tail end of the voice message being left by his mother. Technically she was his stepmother, but she’d raised him for his entire life and had been more of a mother to him than the woman who’d given birth to him.

Rolling his ocean blue hues, Tyler placed the bag of food down on the kitchen counter and walked over to his phone. He didn’t often use the house phone, but given that his mother refused to call him on his cellphone, he had a house phone too. Tyler placed his hand on the edge of the phone for a brief moment, tapping the edges as he contemplated replaying the message, and after a brief moment of hesitation, he pressed the button and let the recording play. “Tyler, it’s your mother. Jacqueline is having her annual Christmas Party on Saturday night and I expect you to be there. If you see your sister before I have a chance to tell her, please let her know too. 7pm. Don’t be late.” As the message finished and the room fell silent once more, Tyler rolled his eyes and erased the message. Maybe he could just pretend that he never received it? Maybe he could tell her that his phone was playing up and must not have recorded the message because the last thing he wanted to do was spend his Saturday night with a bunch of wealthy snobs that he had nothing in common with and especially not a Christmas party. Tyler hated Christmas and had done ever since the accident that had killed his best friend when they were 17.

Christmas was meant to be the most wonderful time of the year, but for Tyler, it just wasn’t. He hated Christmas and while he brought gifts for those he held close to him; his sister and Nevaeh, that was it. He wasn’t sure exactly sure when his hatred for Christmas had started but his best friend’s death had tipped the scale. That year had been the hardest of Tyler’s life. He had discovered that his real mother, his biological mother wasn’t the woman that had raised him and only a few months later, three weeks before Christmas, his best friend had been killed in a horrific car accident. They’d been like brother’s and although Tyler had two brothers, his best friend had been more like a brother to him than his actual brothers and Tyler still wasn’t over it, even though it had just been the 11th anniversary of his passing. Sighing softly, he pulled out his phone to send his sister, Sophia, a quick text. “Are you going to this stupid Christmas party that Jaq is throwing?” His sister’s response was almost immediate, so he knew it was either a definite yes or a definite no but in truth, he hoped it was the latter.

Sighing quietly to himself, Tyler opened his sister’s message. “Thank fxck,” he mumbled when he saw that she was also planning to ditch the ridiculously lavish Christmas festivities. “Hell no. Let’s just get drunk.” His sister may have been a year younger than he was, but she could absolutely read his mind. Smirking. He quickly replied back to his sister and agreed to her suggestion before shoving his phone into his pocket, grabbing his takeaway and a bottle of beer from the fridge so he could unwind and ignore the fact that tornado Marianne would come tearing through his house in less than 48 hours. Of course Tyler would get the blame for leading his little sister astray, but he didn’t care. The last thing he wanted was to deal with his mother or any of the bullsh*t that came along with being her son or the embarrassment to the Evans name.

When Saturday finally arrived, Tyler had already had six phone calls from his mother to make sure he wasn’t late to the party. He assured her he wouldn’t be, but the moment it his 7pm, his mother called. It was like clockwork.

 “That her?”

“Of course it is.” Tyler replied to Sophia without even needing to look down at his phone. Neither of them were there so he knew it had to be his mother. Rolling his ocean blue orbs, Tyler glanced down at the screen to see his mother’s name flash across it. He shook his head and sent the call to his voice mail but before he had a chance to even turn his phone off, he heard his mother’s piercing scream fill the ear. “Tyler William Evans!” He felt like a little child again. “How dare you not answer your phone when I call you. Why aren’t you are Jacqueline's? And you...” She rounded on Sophia and glared at her daughter. “Get into the car now. Both of you or that film career you love so much..” she paused as she turned back to Tyler. “Will be over quicker than it began.”

Tyler wanted to snap at her and refuse to go, but he still lived under his parents thumb and she had given him very little choice. He loved her but he also hated her sometimes. “Why do you always have to ruin everything?! Christmas included!” he snapped as he pushed himself up from his chair, downed the remaining beer in his glass and stormed out of the bar.

moodboard - thanksgiving

Tyler's favorite Thanksgiving tradition is going out with his older brother and getting drunk. Growing up, he never really celebrated Thanksgiving or took part in any type of family tradition, but when he was 17, his brother got him his first fake I.D and took him to the club. Ever since then, the two of them has spent their thanksgiving the exact same way, though following his older brother's marriage there were a few alterations and now they eat a Turkey dinner (rather than McDonald's), and once dinner is done, they hit the clubs.

Character Deep Dive #1

Tyler lives in a relatively expensive home in Nob Hill, San Fransisco. He doesn't like to admit it, or let anyone know. but the house is one that his father brought for him, though Tyler pays for all the day-to-day expenses that come with living there. It is a nine-bedroom, twelve bathroom home, but his favorite room is his games room. He has a PlayStation 5, an X Box, as well as a couple of arcade games, a computer, and a pool table. It is the room he spends most of his time in and resembles the games room that he had when he was still living with his parents as a teenager. It is his escape room and it is the only room in the house decorated completely with neon lights, rather than traditional lighting.
