Disclaimer: This character is NOT Lydia Martin, Bonnie McCullough, or Wanda Maximoff. Please do us both a favor and actually read Rhiannon's backstory. I've had this happen-- Twice now, though I suspect it was the same person. It didn't end at that simple 'mistake', it started very pointed harassment. It's got me a bit shy reaching out to people now. And the person who thought Rhiannon was a Scarlet Witch ripoff was flatout being lazy and choosing not to read it, assuming Red and Scarlet refer to the same thing. I love my character as much as I love Wanda but they are both different women! Anyone who reads her backstory and gets to know her won't need to anonymously blow me up about it. Thank you very much.
001: No OOC drama. I'm saying this first and foremost, because I've dealt with that before with this character and it honestly scared the crap out of me and was extremely harmful during a really stressful period in my life. Don't do it anonymously, don't do it to my face. Learn from the past year or so and do better. If you don't start drama there will be no drama.
002: No forceshipping. I honestly think I have an idea of what character I want to ship Rhiannon with, it's just a matter of finding someone who excepts her even though they are canon as well as having the right writer's chemistry.
003: I'm not interested in changing Rhiannon's backstory in ways that don't make sense. I feel like no one ever asks canons to seriously deviate from their backstories. Please respect the trouble I went through to come up with one for her.
004: If you godmod, and I notice it happens frequently, expect to be dropped. It is so disrespectful imo. If you have permission to write my muse for a drabble etc, it's a different story. Again, I won't do it to you. Please don't take advantage of me. I won't put up with it, it doesn't say 'welcome' on my forehead.
005: Please don't pester me about replies! I do the best I can to be consistent, and I understand that our muses eb and flow. I'm not out here forcing muse out of you, let's keep on with the mutual respect!
006: DMs are open for plotting. Please be sure I know if you DM if you are coming to me ooc or ic. I'm noticing a lot of blending of the worlds (which I don't mind, it's just not my chosen rp format), and I like to know which one of us you're expecting a reply from. Thank you.
007: If you smut request from me, expect to be deleted. I know for a fact I'm not comfortable enough to smut with anyone here yet. I like slow burn, naturally or unexpectedly developing chemistry between two characters. All this 'forcing stuff' or 'faking it to make it' stuff is sucking the fun out of rp and I'm done with it. Plus smut without chemistry is basically erotica. Can't you use Google or like, idk, go on Omegle or something? Leave writers and characters that aren't interested out of your shenanigans. Not shaming! Just sayin'. A lot of people have zero boundaries lately.
008: I am a very 'what you see is what you get' kind of person. I'm not in the mood to talk to people ooc and then realizing they are pretending to be three other people on other accounts, thinking they are clever. It's silly and stupid and a waste of time. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET TO KNOW PEOPLE OOC IF BEING GENUINE IS A PROBLEM. YOU LITERALLY CAN JUST TALK PLOT AND WRITE. I DON'T KNOW WHY SOME PEOPLE THRIVE ON MAKING NICE THINGS TRASH.
On a less shouty note: Please don't feel like you have to bring anything to the table other than your character and story. Far too many people think they have the right to make people feel some kind of way about their writing, as if they exited the womb writing the next great novel. You do not have to feel the need to impress me, the way these people behave. I am humble about the fact that I don't necessarily consider myself a writer as much as a character and story enthusiast and actor, but in the past I have had the blessing of learning from great writers who were humble enough to give others a chance. (These are the writers that deserve all the love and praise in the world, be like them.)
Allow people to grow instead of making assumptions like that. If it's not going to workout, then fine. Don't force yourself, but don't just write people off either.
009: On that note, I am a writer that comes from the Myspace days. I have written long form in the past, but I am coming from writing on a short form platform for quite some time. Please just give me some time to get back into it, don't be upset if I don't send you a novella (I don't write novella length anyway) length 'multi-para starter' (it's happened).
010: And last but not least, lol, despite how blunt the rest of that was, don't be afraid of me please! I'm very blunt but that's just because in my experience that's the best way to avoid future headaches. Please don't be afraid to approach or banter in status, comments-- Messages, etc. I'm always happy to talk. :)
