Task #6 - Home

“Home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling.” – Cecelia Ahern

Growing up I bounced around from place to place until the money rolled in from my modeling career. That's when my mom was finally able to build a home and decorate it accordingly. It was her pride and joy. While I went on to make my own home in the same exact fashion, building and decorating, it was never the same. It wasn't filled with the feeling that my mother had some how created simply by existing within the four walls she had built. Not to mention the other people who lived within those fall walls and what they contributed to the feeling as well.

Mom was the homemaker. She made sure the house was clean and dinners were made but what was more is that she took the time to show us love went beyond the duties she preformed. She was a shoulder to lean on, someone who managed my every important move with care (she was my manager after all), and a warm and giving soul. The way she treated others reminded those of us around her how to treat others on a daily basis. There was never anything she wasn't willing to give. Before my dad passed he was a strong hold, he shed strength into our home. Whenever things would waver he reminded us to stand our ground. Something my mother backed by reminding us to always stand strong in our morals and priorities in life. Both of which always took others into consideration.

The house was never about just the love for self. Which would have been easy to fall into for myself due to the shallow modeling community I grew up around. It was about the love for others. That's where the true feeling of home stemmed from. My mothers love for all of us. My fathers love for all of us. My love for all of them. Together it created a unity that allowed us to feel the safest at home at all times. "Home isn't a place, it's a feeling," describes the home my mother created and the house I am working on at this very moment on my own.

Task 5

- The first item that Wilder always carries on him is a messenger bag. Inside he carries all his other things. This bag was given to him by his father as a graduation present right before he passed. It's a little beaten up but he doesn't care. So long as everything is able to be held within it he will continue to use it.

- Second item that is always carried is his wallet. Also his fathers old wallet. Inside is his ID, gun permit, insurance card, medical insurance card, and all the other things that are needed if the time and place calls for it. He also carries a little love note inside of it from Zoey.

- Third item that is always on his is his cell phone. He keeps all his appointments, phone numbers, notes, ect inside the phone. It's an I-Phone but it is not the most recent one. He likes the way the Iphones work but isn't big on always having the nicest things at all times.

- Fourth thing he makes sure to always have is his gun. Originally given to him when he went for carrying classes he ended up using it in a few situations where he went undercover for the FBI in his early twenties. Ever since he carries the gun with him in case a situation may arise that he needs to protect himself or someone else. It's a Smith and Watson and is usually found on his pants in a holster under a shirt.

- Fifth item is a crystal kit. Heavy with his spirituality he believes in the power of crystals and carries each one for different reasons. He is known to restock this kit as he gives them away when he meets someone who is in need of one. Each crystal has a different healing property or purpose and he can easily go into great detail about them.

- Sixth and final thing he carries is his blunt. He uses marijuana for medicinal purposes and never leaves home without knowing a fresh blunt in his bag. He can often be found taking a smoke break out back of work to keep his nerves from hitting the roof. His anxiety is really kept under control with it.
