A nightmare comes true

A nightmare comes true

Rushed steps echoed through the air and broke the silence of the night. Heavy, quick breathing sounds, the pounding and racing of a fear filled heart. Shadows stretched out, got smaller, then bigger again under the light of the street lamps. No other person was out. Temperatures had dropped rapidly over the last thirteen minutes, close to crack the zero mark. The slender figure never looked back, not once checked if the chaser, the monster, was still after them. But that was not the problem. Something was not right. Why would a hunter run away, in fear, from something they had killed all their life? A strong young man who never took a break from this job. Why would he be in such a hurry to get away?

Blonde dyed hair played in a wavy mess all around the smooth features of his feminine face. Onyx, widened hues ripped from one detail of his surroundings to the next, in search for an escape. The coldness sunk deeper, the more his supposed to be victim caught up with his steps. Out of breath from the long run, close to fall in a panic, his energy level lowered, like an old battery, about to give out the last percentage before it would die and shut the system down. Nothing but empty streets, abandoned buildings, and in the far distance the forest in sight. No safe place anywhere around. Where was he supposed to go, in his condition? How much longer could he run without having to face a deadly fight?

Clouds pulled up on the black sky, the moonlight faded, hid behind the thick grey cotton, Noah couldnt go much farther. His legs trembled and he stumbled just as he reached the edge of the threatening appearance the forest gave off. A faint sound slipped through soft parted lips, panting for air and not giving up, the hunter pushed his exhausted body back up, crawled first, then ran again to get behind the rows of trees. Nothing reached him anymore. No sound, no scent, his sight was narrowed down, almost blinded and his head spun. Waves of heat rushed through his whole body, followed by waves of pure coldness. Something within him changed, weakened him. A golden color began to break through the onyx of his hues, just before he fell again, not able to get back up. His lungs burned, throat dry and heart about to explode, just from how it felt. But this monster has not dared to take a step closer, it stopped before the first row of trees, as though there was nothing more dangerous than this forest.........

to be continued?

A hunters timeout

A hunters timeout

No one can look away anymore. The warmth faded away, replaced by coldness. Not stinging and icy just yet. But not pleasant either anymore. Summer said goodbye, while autumn sent out its lovely colorful greeting. The trees began to shake off their red, orange and yellow coat, collected to their roots and all around, wherever the fresh wind carried each leaf. Bright and long days pushed into the background, gave the lead to a gloomy atmosphere.  But it was a wonderful season. Warmer clothes came along with a warm feeling within the heart. And least this is how Noah saw this time of the year. It was stunning, beautiful.

The sound of relaxed and soft steps, created by warm black boots, underlined the peaceful atmosphere of the evening. The sun disappeared on the horizon, gave room for the full moon high up on the darkening sky. It was the perfect time to get a few drinks, enjoy some music, and, if it happened by chance, have a good conversation and company. Pale hands lifted, slender fingers brushed through blonde-pink dyed hair to fix the wavy strands in a lose tie, a moment before the desired place came into sigh. "There it is." the honey sweet tone of Noahs voice swung through the air around him like a soft melody, joy visible through the tender glance within his onyx orbs.

A couple of steps later, behind the door that had blocked the scene from the world outside, Noah already mingled under the people within the club he had entered. First a drink at the bar. That's  how he started nights like these. Slow. Lifting his slender figure elegantly onto one of the stools, a sign to the busy bartender was enough to draw attention. By now he was a regular here, and so no words were needed, a glass with his favorite amber liquid got placed infront of him. Lifting it to his lips, sipping a small amount, his onyx hues closed, he savored the flavour, pushed out a satisfied sigh and let go of the remaining tension he had carried around. Now all he see as a positive addition to this perfect moment was company.

Remote Future

Remote Future: Possibilities

Warmth of the rising sun broke through the leaves of the nearby forest, wandered over the crowns of the trees, further towards the glade. Soft light licked over the green grass and flowers, fed nature with everything it needed on a beautiful day like this. A deer, aware of its surroundings, snuck out onto the clearing, approached the small but crystal clear lake, located next to a large castle like building. Not a single cloud moved over the azure sky. Rain would not come anytime soon. A soft warm breeze rustled through the woods, leaves danced beautifully as they fell from the trees, carried away towards the end of their life. Winter would approach, but until then the seconds, minutes, hours, days of the following months ticked away slowly, peaceful.

A sound broke the silence of this morning, faint and only for a mere second. A door of the castle had been opened. A slender silhouette stepped out on silent, bare feet. Robes of silk wrapped around the males frame like water, protected his smooth milky skin like a shield. Golden shimmering eyes gazed over the setting within his sight, came to a halt on the precious deer, drinking water from the lake. Not a move was made, at first glance it seemed like the timid animal could run away. The head lifted, onyx met liquid gold in a gaze that lasted a felt eternity. One minute or two? How much time has truly passed by? It was hard to represent the seconds that flew by, until the young man moved.

Graceful steps carried him down a couple of stairs as though he was flying, light-footed he paced towards the deer that never looked away. It would seem the animal was captured in a daze, a magical spell, unable to run. Though in fact it was another way. A deep story connected both, the male and animal. One no one would be aware of without observing what would happen next. In a slow pace the deer approached, head nuzzled in a featherly affectionate touch against the palm of the males extended hand. By now it was clearly recognisable, trust, loyalty, friendship filled that little touch. A warm-hearted smile brightened up the males face, his body barely moved, crouched down onto eye level with his friend. A voice sweet like honey, full of care spoke "I am finally home, my loyal friend. With your lead I found out who I am, where I come from, what I am. With you by my side I can face every upcoming storm. Thank you, my guiding light."

Arms tenderly laid around the animal in a tender embrace, thoughts of the deer entered the mans mind with ease. "I will always stay by your side, Noah. You can count on me, I will always be there." A bright light swallowed the silhouette of the deer, a second or two passed by. And as it faded again, a young male of the same age laid within Noahs arms, whispering "I've been your guardian since your birth, and will fulfill my duty until the end. I will protect you, give you strength and guide you through this new life. You, Noah, the prince, have returned home to take the throne, to reunite the fairy folks of light and darkness. To lead this kingdom back to its past glory. Today, together we take the first steps to protect our kind."
