12/12/2022 12:09 PM  OPTIONAL TASK 400 Staring at the card she was holding in her hands, Bowie wasn’t sure what she was going to do. Her head and heart were saying to different things causing her to feel conflicted. The words please meet me kept racing through her head. What was she supposed to do. She scrunched up the card and tossed it into the trash can. She shook off the thoughts she was feeling and went about her day. She didn’t want to think about the card anymore. It made her feel sick. She sighed and took a few moments to meditate in order to try and clear her mind. “Forget it Bowie. It’s not worth your time. Just get on with your day. Everything will be okay” she said to herself. Bowie hiked with Baxter and then when they got home she fed him. She then showered and changed before heading to work. She greeted customers and completed their orders, and in between this she worked on her online orders. Since Christmas was just around the corner a lot of parties and weddings were happening, so a lot of people wanted bouquets. It was a lot of work but she loved every second of it. She was just about to close up for a lunch break when the bell chimed. Turning around she came face to face with one of her attackers named Gerald. “What are you doing here?” Bowie asked. “You didn’t come and meet me and I knew you worked here. I really need to speak to you” he said. “Get out” she ordered. “Please give me a chance” be pleaded. “I gave you your chance and you used it to stab me in the back!" she said. “I’m sorry. I had to do it. They made me. They also made me lie. I wish I could turn back the clocks and change what happened. I’m a selfish coward. Look I’m dying, I don’t have long left. Please could you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?” He asked. Bowie could see the sincerity in his eyes. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath. “I will never forgive you. But I will forget you” she stated. “Now get out” she demanded. He looked crushed as she walked away. Bowie felt bad, but she couldn’t forgive him for what he did. 0 Comments

12/05/2022 11:23 PM  OPTIONAL TASK 399 Bowie had never felt more alone than she did right now. She had lost so much in her life and just continued to lose people. Despite being surrounded by people she still felt alone. Right now she wasn’t sure why she was even in town anymore... probably because it was home and had always been home. Travelling is good for a while, but it wasn’t something she could do forever. She wished she could escape for a while but she always seemed to run away. Staying was painful though. Right now she was just existing but she wasn’t living. Everyday was a struggle. She felt numb. It was hard just putting one foot in front of the other. But she was carrying on. She had to try... after returning home from work she made herself a coffee and sat down on the couch. A knock was then heard at the door. It was a surprise since she wasn’t expecting anyone. Getting up she opened the door and was greeted by a familiar face. “What are you doing here Ryan?” She asked her ex. “I'm here because you can't accept what I've done. It broke you. "  he said. “What do you even care? I’ve lost you multiple times, another time doesn’t make a damn difference” she stated, her anger clearly audible. “But I didn’t tell you I was leaving this time. I just left without a word because I’m a coward. I thought leaving would be the best thing for you, but after hearing about how you’ve been acting lately I realise I was wrong” he said to her. “Who’s been talking about me huh?” She questioned. “That doesn’t matter. I came back because I need you to know I’m sorry. I’m sorry how everything ended. I’m sorry for what I did...” he paused for a moment. “I know you still love me but you need to let me go. I’m not the man for you. You need to move on. Allow yourself to be happy. Allow yourself to love. Don’t hide away or close yourself off. Be happy Bowie. You deserve happiness. I won’t be around anymore. Give you the space to be able to move on. I love you and I set you free” he said before walking away from her life again. 0 Comments

12/02/2022 11:58 PM  OPTIONAL TASK 398 Bowie was having a great time at the bar. Dancing, drinking and having general fun. It was nice to let her hair down. Things had been going well lately. Probably a little too well. Bowie was waiting for things to go wrong and it turns out she didn’t have to wait too long. As she headed back to the bar she saw someone she hadn’t seen in a long time. It was her ex best friend. They stopped being best friends at sixteen, after her brother raped her, and she didn’t believe her. Bowie tried to ignore her, pretending she wasn’t there. Bowie ordered another drink and sat at the bar with her back turned, in the hopes she could go unnoticed. She then felt a tap on her shoulder. Taking a deep breath she hoped it wasn’t her but she already knew it was. Turning slowly in her chair she turned to face the female. “Hey Bow” she said. “Hi” Bowie replied. She didn’t have much to say to her. “You look amazing. Incredible. How’s life been going?” She asked. “Great. I have my own business, life’s good” she replied. She didn’t ask about her as she didn’t care. “Look I’m sorry about everything. I know you weren’t lying but my parents forced me to say you were. I didn’t mean for you to get hurt so bad. I feel awful” she pleaded. “It’s too late for apologies” she stated. “Will we ever be able to go back to what we were before?” she asked Bowie. Bowie laughed. She downed her drink before standing up. “F*ck no” she said. “Your family and your brothers friends ruined my life. You lied and cheated.
