01/04/2023 05:10 PM  OPTIONAL TASK 413 Bowie was awoken to the sound of smashing glass. She sat bolt upright in bed. She listened for a few moments and she could hear a door being opened. Slowly reaching into her bedside table she pulled out her gun. “Stay here boy” she said to her dog Baxter. Creeping out of her bedroom she slowly walked down the hall. As she entered the kitchen she noticed the glass doors had been smashed, and glass was scattered across the floor. Before she even had time to react she was grabbed from behind. She felt punches rain down on her before she was dragged from the kitchen into the living room. She was then handcuffed to the table. “What do you want?” Bowie croaked. “Don’t worry your pretty little head” one masked intruder replied. They then walked off. Bowie could hear banging as things were being thrown around as the intruders looked for valuable things. All Bowie could do was sit and wait. She could hear Baxter barking from her bedroom. “Don’t hurt him” she called out, not that they would listen to her. When the intruder came back into the kitchen Bowie cowered in fear. “Are you going to hurt me?” She asked. "Don’t ask questions you don’t wanna know the answers to." came his evil response. Bowie gulped hard. Bowie could see they had bags filled with her things. She didn’t know exactly what they had. Things could be replaced... well non sentimental things anyway. “Please don’t kill me” she pleaded. “Don’t worry darling I ain’t gonna kill ya” he replied. Just then police broke down the doors and had them surrounded. The men were quickly cuffed and lead away. Bowie was freed from her cuffs. She gave a statement and she was told her things needed to go into evidence but she would get the back. She understood. Then the Sheriff walked through the door. He ran over and hugged her “I’m glad you’re okay. I heard the tip off on the radio and knew the address and rushed right over” he said to her. “I’m okay uncle Coop. A little saw from the beating but I’ll be fine” she smiled, trying to put him at ease. “You and Baxter are coming to my place tonight. Go pack a bag and I’ll wait in the car. I’m not taking no for an answer” he ordered her. She nodded and got changed before packing her bag, and getting some other things together. She and Baxter then joined him in the car. 0 Comments

12/19/2022 11:53 PM  OPTIONAL TASK 406 Bowie’s sister Avery was visiting for the holidays. Bowie was excited to have her stay with her. She had been missing her sister a lot since she left town. Now was the time to make up for lost time, catch up, have fun and go a little crazy. The two had spent the evening chatting and having dinner. “How about we head outside by the fire pit for a while?” Bowie suggested. “Sure” Avery replied. The two headed out to the fire pit and talked some more. Bowie smoked a cigarette and drank her mulled wine whilst Avery drank hers, and Baxter ran around the yard. “I’ve missed having you here. It just hasn’t been the same without you” Bowie admitted. “I’ve missed you to. I wish I could come back permanently but I’ve got things to take care of” Avery replied. Bowie smiled a little at her “I know” she said. The two made some s’mores and drank more mulled wine and sang some Christmas songs together. Bowie was filled with joy. She was glad to be sharing this special time with her. Bowie stopped singing and allowed Avery to sing a Christmas remix of a song she had released earlier this year. Bowie chuckled and clapped when she had finished. “That’s awesome” she said. Bowie headed inside for a moment to throw some trash away before heading back outside. “What are you looking at?” She asked her sister who was staring open mouthed at the sky. “I can’t believe it! I just saw Santa fly through the sky!” Avery said to her. Bowie laughed “okay no more mulled wine for you. I’ll make you some hot chocolate and we can watch some Christmas movies” she laughed as she dragged her sister inside. “Oh never a dull moment with you” she laughed. “I’m serious I saw Santa” Avery stated. “Yup okay” Bowie laughed. 0 Comments
