Kon-EL's Origin

SurviveSurviveMust survive.” The being has the appearance and voice of a teen, but what's driving that ragged vessel is nothing remotely human. His diction is robotic and devoid of any sense of urgency, despite it repeating that chant of NEEDING to live on. Truth be told, the person - the personality that scar-bearing face once  possessed is dead and gone. All that's left is the security safety measures KNOWHERE implemented when creating him, storing it at the depths of his psyche where it was able to lie deep in the darkest and unexplored regions of his mind, waiting to be called upon or to take over in desperate times.  And oh, what a moment of impending doom the entity finds itself in.

However, all hope is not lost for it. Though its body more than occasionally phases in and out of transparency & being solid, it has the newly accessible ability to travel through anything and as far as it wants.

The entity is currently making use of the body's awe-striking telekinesis & telepathy to find a new vessel.  It travels through an endless mass of space where countless rifts leading to various universes can be found. It knows not where it will end up, but it flies onward without hesitation. It, after some time of venturing, finally enters through a 'doorway’ that sends him out into a large vast pocket of outer-space. A chosen universe. Still following the beacon of his survival, he heads on over to the bright, large, and violet-pink planet in the distance.

SurviveSurviveMust survive.”

[ Down on Gemworld– ]

“Ah, looks like the sun is a'settin’. Should I head back now? Is there even anything left to do?” The half-kryptonian adolescent known as Kon-EL questions under his breath as he stands on a field. The youth tucks his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket as he gazes up at the sun. He contemplates on doing something with his free time, but knows his options are quite few.  He's a farmer now and this world is definitely not like Metropolis City at all. At least when he was living in Kansas with Ma & Pa Kent, he was able to fly over to Smallville for some sort of modern entertainment. Here, it's like living in medieval times.  Call it a coincidence, but his longing for the days of old are about to finally receive an answer. It takes the form of a red comet…

“Huh, what's that?” Kon-EL questions with shifty eyes as he raises a hand over his brows. His scope vision does give him a better visual, but whatever it is, it's engulfed in intense crimson energy of some sort, and falling like a meteor.

K R O O O O O O O O M ! ! ! !

The object lands relatively close by, yet also far in the distance. It draws the eyes of the common folks, Conner included. With haste, the kryptonian levitates a few feet off the ground and flies his way over to the crash sight. It's there he sees a large, deep crater and steaming smoke flowing from the center of it. A contemplative scowl takes form on his face once he takes notice that someone is kneeling there.

“Hey! Hey, you alright? Do you….” Though initially he's concerned for the person, glowing red eyes that suddenly look up at him from within the cloud of dust and smoke makes him wary. He arches a brow without a hint of worry or fear.

“ I don't suppose you come in peace?” Conner asks.

“It's YOU…” The being speaks.

“Come again?” B O O O M ! A very brief exchange takes place before the mysterious figure suddenly breaks the sound barrier within a snap of a finger and rams right into Kon-EL like a javelin, carrying him off miles upon miles away in an instant. The two go crashing through a stone tower and cause it to crumble over  in their wake, and eventually smash through several walls of an Imposing castle until they wind up tumbling apart within a dim circular room - one that looks as if it's commonly used for rituals of some sort.

“Jeeze, you don't really pack much punch at all, but that's some telekinetic force you got there.” Conner comments while pushing himself up and dusting off his attire. The other also raises to stand.

“Must…” Thump. The being in black in neon red speaks, but suddenly collapses into a kneeling position. Grimacing as he struggles to keep from falling face down. A sight that Conner takes pity on.

“Survive… Must survive…!” The peculiar male with gleaming red eyes hisses out. Kon-EL arches a brow and studies the stranger's appearance, finally discovering that he too is adorning a bold red ‘'S’ on his chest. And that the guy seems to be more or less the same age as him.

“Those… those eyes. I had eyes like that when Lex spoke a secret code to me.” Conner comments.

“Hey, man… If you've got beef with me, maybe we can sort the issue out after we get you some help?” Despite the hero's offer, his words fall upon deaf ears as the other male rises yet again. It's then that Conner sees the stranger's body go intangible for a moment before blinking back into solid matter.

SurviveSurviveMust survive.” The being repeats those words again.

“Yeah, I get that and I'm totally down for the cause, but you gotta’ be cool, man.” Conner responds, now watching as the other begins approaching him on shaky legs. Yet, the fiery red aura the being begins emitting does come off as imposing. Comparing it to his own telekinesis, he feels like it blows his potential out of the water with ease, and he's done quite impressive feats with his secondary power of tactile-telekinesis in his life. Not only that, but the aura also lights up the entire room. So much so, that it becomes far easier to notice more details about the stranger.  His skin is missing at certain places on his face, arms, left thigh, and lower torso, and the muscle underneath is visible. And where his skin is still intact on his face,  various shallow scars add to his horrendous disfigurement.

“Hey, you BETTER stay back! I'm not looking for a fight, but I will kick some ass if you force me to!” Kon-EL warns, pointing a finger at the approaching zombie-like male.

Must… survive!”

“I warned you!” It's then the two charge at each other simultaneously and engage in a contest of strength. Their outstretching hands clash while their fingers interlock. It appears to be a stalemate, but it's not one that remains the focus for too long. Upon touching, a sky-blue aura suddenly begins flowing around Kon-EL. It's great in size, but the crimson aura coming from his apparent adversary dwarfs it in size. Within seconds, the two colors begin blending and creating a shade of purple at the center of where they touch. Not only that, but the two begin merging.

G-Guh!? What the hell are you doing!?” Kon-EL exclaims in horror.

“Surviving…” Is the short answer he gets before that bright purple light expands and consumes them both. Seamlessly, the two become one within a blink of an eye. Clothes, bodies, minds, powers, and even their memories. During the process, the clone’s unity forms a mature body that's fairly greater in stature than either of their bodies were beforehand.

“It's coming from inside here!” Finally pinpointing the source of the commotion and destruction, guards in knight armor storm the room with weapons and shields at the ready. However, they stop dead in their tracks at the display before. Not only is there a blinding light source making it difficult to see, but there's an uncontrollable amount of energy lashing out from within. There's violent bursts of light in the form of lightning bolts that punch through the walls with every thunderous crackle.

It takes a moment, but that light finally simmers until it's completely gone, revealing a young man, who looks to be between 18 to 21, wearing a fanciful one-piece black suit with red lines and a bold ‘'S’ adorning it, as well as a leather jacket. His eyes are glowing white with a hint of red.

“Who… Who are you!? Identify yourself, now!” A guard yells. However, the reborn kryptonian has bigger issues to worry about.

“I… I don't… I don't know anymore.” Conner answers while looking down at his trembling hands. He's not stricken with fear or a sickness, but experiencing an excess of solar and telekinesis energy. Sparks of red electricity course around his body. And once he begins trying to recall his life and who he is as a person, things become worse. There's so many contrasting memories. Friends, lovers, enemies, and even associates. He cannot discern his true feelings or opinions, nor his origin point.

“I… I….! WHAT IS THIS!!??
