It was almost as though time stood still. Ivy saw nothing except for Shang Tsung. She met his lips with her own, completing this first kiss as man and wife in Gotham City. It was like a fairy tale. She was the Queen and she was so absolutely loved. Her future was with him at his side as his partner in all things. It was glorious and bathed in love.

Alfred's declaration and their first presentation made Ivy's flesh tingle. She was rubbing away tears with her free hand. After they couldn't stop, Ivy just gave up on all of it. She held tightly to Shang's arm. This was where she belonged and would always be, always and forever.
