The offices of Triad Industries had been operational in the States for some time now. As with most corporations, the leadership had gone through changes. Triad was now under the control of one man. He'd fought his way from absolute poverty as a boy. Even as his father shined shoes in Riverdale to try to earn a living, Hiram discovered his own way and that was a dark path. That dark path would eventually lead him here.

His own flesh and blood turned on him. His daughter and her stupid little friends chased him out of Riverdale. That was the last straw. This was his vengeance and this would be how they would all pay. It started with small purchases of stock here and there until he made his way onto the board.

Hiram knew all about Malivore and his brats. He knew how much of a little d*ck Clark was and how much of an airhead Landon was. It would seem he had much in common with this golem, so that made Lodge's goal crystal clear. That's when the idea for The Purge happened.

He had no idea he was being directed by outside forces in order to put this all into place. Hiram Lodge, the new CEO of Triad Industries decided to celebrate his ascending to power by declaring there would be a Purge of all Supernatural Creatures. He offered help to anyone who wanted to put as many possible down for good. It was how he'd lured in Jeremy Gilbert. It wasn't too hard to get a monster from the South back into action again to damn near kill the young hunter. Then there was Stefan Salvatore. The younger Salvatore was an out of control ripper. It didn't take much to lure Stefan over to working specifically for him.

As all master manipulators before him, Hiram had another as up his sleeve. That ace was the fully realized Tribrid herself, Hope Mikaelson. Getting her had been a coup de grâce on his part. He wasn't even sure why she signed on in all truth but he was glad she did. Hiram was just waiting for the opening salvos of this whole thing to start. And it was him who would officially begin the whole thing.

He arrived in his office after walking through the Triad offices taking his seat behind his desk. He logged in on the computer system reaching out to the world wide web. The rumblings about the Purge were plentiful including an unsubstantiated rumor that Klaus Mikaelson was trying to rally the Supernaturals together. Hiram smirked and muttered to no one in particular since he was alone. "This is my ballgame now Klaus. You have no clue who you're dealing with in the slightest." He simply laughed.

His brilliant white teeth and his suit that cost more than the GDP of most nations were at the ready. It was time to turn on the Webcam and broadcast to anyone with internet access including mobile devices what they were waiting to hear.

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Hiram Lodge, CEO of Triad Industries. I know you're all anxious to get this show on the road, so here it goes. For the next 72 hours starting RIGHT NOW, all Supernatural Creatures may be freely destroyed without fear of recompense from any government agencies on the Federal or state level. Triad Industries will have teams on standby to operate weapon dispersal site all over Mystic Falls, Greendale and RIVERDALE. " He smirked a little longer looking directly at the camera as he mentioned Riverdale. Also there was a counter going from the moment that Hiram had mentioned it.

No citizen who is not a Supernatural Creature has anything to fear for the next 72 hours. To any Supernatural Creatures listening to me now, enjoy your last moments terrorizing humanity. Now it's our turn to fight back! Oh and Klaus Mikaelson, if you're listening you are Public Enemy #1. I wouldn't trust anyone if I were you Klaus." Hiram was smirking because he knew he had Kol Mikaelson on his payroll.

"Good Luck out there Hunters. Remember: Bring me Klaus Mikaelson ALIVE and I will make you rich beyond your wildest dreams." Hiram was absolutely elated about what was happening. He turned off his Webcam and leaned back in his chair. It was time for the fun to really begin.
