Greenlight.
Ain't nobody in the world does it like you do Got me beggin' you for more, yeah, it's nothin' new Before you come around, yeah, I was feelin' blue So tell me if you're down, I'll fly ya to the moon

Just say I got the green light The things we do past midnight Just me and you and it feels right Just an empty room and the green light The green light
"Like a song that you can't forget"
"Yes, you are both fortunate to have one another." When it would have been too easy for him to continue playing the role of protector and forget that now she too was grown and capable of handling more. Including providing him with a shoulder to lean on; Betty smiled softly to herself, glad that her words had hit their mark and reminded him of his sister's resiliency. The joke about sneaking the sleep aid into her coffee was less funny since everyone knew that he was being disingenuous about his concerns for his sister, despite the fact that they were not without foundation. She had a sneaking suspicion that he hadn't had more than a few hours of rest since he arrived in New York, even though he could sleep for hours on end at home after working overtime for Fred on a site. This was despite the fact that he could sleep for hours at home after working overtime for Fred on a site. "Uh-huh…" She consented cautiously, choosing her fights wisely but not beyond asking that he stay in bed and recuperate upon his return to town so that he could receive the necessary amount of sleep. In fact, the thought of spending a week in bed by myself without ever having to leave the flat seemed like a dream. Without him there, she'd found herself more restless than ever and unable to sleep through the night without waking up at some point throughout the night. Jughead wasn't the only one feeling the tiredness creeping in. According to the timestamps on the majority of their text exchanges, it seemed probable that he already knew the information in question, despite the fact that she had no intention of voluntarily disclosing it to him.

When he praised Alice's skill in the kitchen, in especially her ability to make sweets, Betty couldn't help but crack out laughing. Betty may have acquired a taste for Gladys' cooking, but she was exceptionally knowledgeable of Jughead's fondness for her mother's pies. "In all honesty, it is a simple task. I'll make sure she hears about the praise and ask her if she can prepare something new for you to eat when you return. I could even make you a dessert out of it, and if we're both fortunate, I could serve it with some homemade vanilla ice cream." She had missed breakfast in favor of drinking merely a cup of coffee, so the abrupt mention of food brought back memories of the enormous void that was developing in her stomach. Not only did she miss him less, which caused her to feel less hungry, but she also did not have to worry about being reminded or, maybe more appropriately, nagged at mealtimes by his ravenous stomach. This had a positive effect on her appetite. She hadn't had anything to eat since the turkey sandwich she'd taken to work with her the day before and a bag of potato chips that had lasted her the rest of the day. After giving it some thought for a second, she wasn't sure she'd had anything to eat since then.

"This is not about me having to Jug; this is about me being selfish, as you are well aware..." Betty trailed off, pushing out her chair, rising to her feet, and sticking her free hand into the back pocket of her jeans. She lingered at the end of the desk as she stared at the half-lit computer screen holding the map with the red line of the trajectory from Riverdale to his location. Betty's voice trailed off as she stared at the map with the red trajectory line from Riverdale to his location. "I want to be there to assist in any way I can, together with your parents and Jellybean, so that you aren't the only one who has to," she said. She stopped, drawing in a full breath as she saw her own power and determination beginning to waver. "But more than anything, I simply want to be with you since I've been missing you so much." She heaved a sigh and rolled her eyes at herself for giving in so easily. Knowing full well how much he was already juggling on his plate and having promised herself she wouldn't add to it or make it any harder on him than it already was being so far from home and so far from her.

Nothing else in the office seemed to capture her attention, and she pondered for a moment whether or not they should try switching to Facetime. She was curious whether it would be beneficial or detrimental to video chat and see each other even though they couldn't be together in person." In addition to that, I could improve at watching apartments. I accidentally destroyed the last plant you had near the kitchen window by giving it too much water." Betty conceded defiantly, her tone subdued and petulant, much as a kid would be if they had to acknowledge misbehavior to their parents. It was her way of attempting to brighten the atmosphere, which she felt guilty for having brought back down, despite the gloomy conditions that had existed, to begin with. Although Betty had some experience with gardening, thanks to the fact that she assisted her mother during the summer months, it appeared that she had an unexplainable talent for killing houseplants. This was evidenced by the fact that several houseplants had already perished during the time that she had been staying at his place more frequently.

"When you come back to your house, I'll go out and get you a phony ficus tree." It was her way of apologizing for feeling so needy at a time when it was meant to be her turn to be strong for both of them while he was managing everything else with his family. She felt like she had let him down by being so dependent.
In this light it's a perfect view,
