to anyone else, they wouldn't mean anything. but to us? they're a lifeline. a reminder of the bond that we hold.
two simple words that mean so much more.
we usually sit in silence. i can feel the tension in their air. you're quiet, more so than usual. your jawline is clenched. your breathing is hurried. i know the way that your fingers wrap around themselves when you're about to punch.
it's a reminder that i'm here. a simple phrase that most people would throw away with a simple nod of their head. but not us.
