Lilith fixed herself up, ready to go out to the boardwalk in a few hours with ‘him’. Him. He was so familiar, yet she couldn’t understand how, where or why. Prior to meeting David, she would have reoccurring dreams. That’s what she thought they were anyways.. just a figment of her imagination. But how did it come to be he was indeed a real person. Not to mention that little ‘pang’ she felt each time they were near. She didn’t realize when her mind wandered further into a daydream. That same reoccurring scene found it’s way into her mind as she stared into the mirror. ~ It was the golden era of Hollywood. She was always adorned in this silk, champagne gold dress that hugged her figure as she performed in the lounge. Every time her eyes would search the crowd to lock onto ice cold blue eyes analyzing her every movement with a sly smirk on his face. It near melted her while performing but she pretended it didn’t affect her and continued her set. That night though after the show , the man bought her a drink and they shared small talk before deciding on accompanying him back to his hotel room. He seemed like one of those gangster types that would put Al Capone to shame. He stole her heart then and there. He mentioned about needing to ‘take care of some business’ before going to the room, but he advised her of the room number as well as provided her with the room key so she could wait for him to return. She made her way up to the room after collecting her things, opting to indeed stay the night with him. She sat at the vanity and brushed out her long hair, primming herself before he returned. She couldn’t help but be distracted by some tousling outside the room before the lock jimmied a bit. ‘He must’ve forgot his key’ she gave a small laugh and awaited for him to walk through the door. But it wasn’t him. It must’ve been a rival gang .. the ‘business’ he was going to deal with. She let out a scream before they got hold of her. He finally made it into the room to find the commotion in the room and her at their mercy. Even his agreement to the ultimatum still couldn’t spare her. Just like that, everything went black . ~ Lilith snapped out of the daydream at the sound of a motorcycle revving outside of the window and she looked out to see David. She wanted to mention it to him but she was scared of judgement. What if it was just a dream? But then again…it felt way too familiar to be just that. She let out a sigh as she went outside and mounted the bike and held onto his waist. That ‘pang’ feeling returning once she made contact with him.
