Fear Everything (3W group post)
Fear Everything, attn: Anna mention: Elena, Caroline and Klaus Lionheart /1606290 Despite being in the middle of a world in the middle of hell, Anna found a way to make him smile. She always did. Jeremy leaned in to kiss her on the lips with great love and affection. “I love you too baby. I’d be lost without you.” A world without Anna was something he wasn’t prepared to envision. Even with Klaus Mikaelson as the big bad monster in the world, he still had Anna so nothing else mattered. His defiance of Klaus was something he took great pride in, but the fact that Caroline was against them hurt. Caroline and Elena had been thick as thieves once upon a time.
The two young witches were just as deeply in love as Anna and Jeremy were. Normally he’d actually work to put down witches. There was nothing normal about this world. He was putting everything on the line for them. He wasn’t going to stop. “Let’s get out of here. There are patrols that come through here nightly. We just have to outsmart them. Don’t worry.” He wrapped his arm around Anna’s waist. “We’ve done this a few times.” He kissed Anna again before releasing his hold and reaching for his bag. “Let’s do it!” He told the ladies in his company nodding firmly.

Leaving the safehouse, everything was pitch black. The smell of the corn in the fields made Jeremy’s nose wrinkle decidedly displeased with the putrid odor. It was best to do everything under cover of darkness. It gave them the best chances to get away from Klaus’ men. He knew where the dock was that would lead them to their ride across Lake Erie. He looked back toward the girls and Anna. He motioned for them to follow him. It was imperative not to make a sound whatsoever. There were vampires that had aligned with Klaus that usually prowled these woods and even an occasional werewolf. It was a good thing that Anna was here with them. It was what would make all the difference in the world.
So far everything was going well. The dock was just within their sight. They still had to get through the obstacle course of the woods that used to be farmhouses and fields of corn. Jeremy was able to dodge and weave with the best of them. The supernatural element of his blood gave him a distinct advantage. His own knowledge of the terrain had helped him more than once through the months that he’d been here smuggling frightened supernaturals across the border into Canada. “WAIT! DId you hear that?” The voice that came out of the inky night was not that of Jeremy. He didn’t recognize it. He brought his hand up to his lips to make a silent motion to Anna and the witches. His solitary digit rested against his lips. He pointed outward for Anna to do some recon. Jeremy had a strong suspicion that they were being stalked by werewolves tonight. If that was the case, then they were in a world of hurt. Werewolves had stronger senses of smell and hearing. Anna had the speed where she could sneak up on one or more and even take one out not to mention the fact she had the skill of a vampire that was nearly one thousand years old. Anna was definitely at the advantage here.
This was what they did. Anna’s speed and her drive to feed on Klaus’ operatives kept her at her peak. Jeremy didn’t care how she fed because a dead agent for Klaus Mikaelson meant that was one less that was coming after them. Their reputation was rather infamous when it came to running supernaturals across Lake Erie. Jeremy knew they were marked and he didn’t care. It just meant that they had a higher success rate than the others. He wasn’t about to stop in the near to immediate future.
Anna had taken off to discover what it was and who it was that was following them. If it was the werewolf trackers, then Jeremy knew what he had to do next. The two witches clung to each other desperately in the clutches of fear and concern. He began to whisper to them. “You girls need to help me. Anna is going to try and take them out one by one. What I need from you is that you create a cloaking spell to keep them from seeing us. Can you do that?”
The older of the two witches was Melissa. She had soft brown hair and a deep look of worry on her face. She admired what Jeremy and Anna were doing for her and Sarah. She nodded. Her own sapphire hues turned back to Sarah. She took the younger witch’s hand and began to chant a spell in Latin. Jeremy’s knowledge of Latin had grown over the years. He could pick up on what they were saying. He believed in them and their ability to make it work. He touched Melissa’s shoulder so that way he added his confidence in their abilities to the strength of the incantation.
Jeremy watched as a man actually came out of a clearing of half rotten corn stalks to where they were. He squeezed Melissa’s shoulder and she squeezed Sarah’s hand. The spell was working. The man that walked by had eyes that flashed gold and fangs that Jeremy had been able to see. Yeah, they were werewolves alright. He knew that young werewolves had no chance against a 500 year old vampire like Anna.
God, he loved her so much. She was going to have a field day with these pups. He smirked at the thought of how well fed his girl was going to be. Jeremy stayed right there with the witches to make sure that everything remained safe until Anna rejoined them. When Anna came back, the incancation would stop. All they had to do was wait for Anna to clear the way. None of us are gonna make it out of this town alive.
