landslide.
january 12th, 1998: a mere two months after the infamous 'the dance' tour, fleetwood mac would once again come together as a band to get inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in columbus, ohio. as a band, fleetwood mac performed the song 'say you love me' but it was the duo of lindsey buckingham and stevie nicks who stole the show with their two performances. one was 'big love', a song written by buckingham that nicks did backup vocals on. the other was a song written by stevie nicks about lindsey buckingham and is probably one of fleetwood mac's most known songs -- especially considering it was only released as a stand alone single around the same time, a live version of the song recorded from 'the dance' tour 23 years after it showed up on a fleetwood mac record. the song? landslide.
Well, I've been afraid of changing 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder Even children get older And I'm getting older too Oh, I'm getting older too Oh, take my love, take it down Oh, climb a mountain and turn around And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills Well the landslide will bring it down And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills Well the landslide will bring it down, oh oh The landslide will bring it down |
