Rules

As for rules, well as many know me and I you, I think we know our boundaries.  I think it is good common sense that should be used as guidance, and if one player wishes to set down some rules, then perhaps it is best to set them with an opponent prior to the commencement of any stories.

But, for all others, then please read below.

1.     Drama – OOC Drama is an absolute no no. One hint of any such remarks about another, and you will be deleted.

2.     Stories – Well much could be said here, and everyone is different, but these are my views.  I am in the UK, and I work very long hours, add this to the time zone differences, then our paths may only cross briefly.  So please bear this in mind before you start a story.   I am happy with whatever is sent, but like most people, one-liners will be frowned upon.  Three or more paragraphs would be acceptable. It would be polite to discuss a storyline prior to it commencing one, that way we will both know where we stand story wise.

3.     Literacy – This is my pet hate. I know I am not the greatest writer, or indeed typist. But in this day and age of spell checkers and auto correction, it so irritates me when I receive a poorly written piece, which has obviously not been proofread, let alone spell checked.  Please, if you want to be part of the RP world, at least try and get all your grammar right. We all make mistakes, even I do, and I accept those for what they are, just mistakes.  So if you want to RP with me, I do not expect to see the following – “I woz coming down road, you see me and shout my name. I smilled did me and frowed u a kiss wot catch u on cheek.” –

4.     Godmoding – We all know what this is, and if we don’t, then why are you even here?  Do not speak for my character, do not move my character.  If you want me to do something, a leading line is enough; most players of any worth will work it out.

5.     Relationships – A very touchy subject, if you pardon the pun. I do not see Emrys ever being in one. (I have others for that). That is not to say that he cannot love.  He may kiss and hug, but that is where it will end.  The problem is that too many mix RP with RL.  We are all here to have fun in our writing, and this can go out the window when jealousy rears its ugly head.  If you are with someone, and it is public knowledge, then do not hit on others.  Stay loyal to your partner, just as I hope you would in real life. This will only cause all kinds of drama, and I will be no part of it. But, if you play multiple characters, then I see no problem with a second character being with another.  You are not being unfaithful, because you will be playing different characters. After all, it is just RP.

6.     Sex – Many stories will eventually arrive at a point where it forms part of the story, although as I said above, I do not foresee Emrys in that kind of a relationship.  I am happy with reading any mature scenes, as long as they are in the right context.   But please, tone down the graphic descriptions. If you are into all that, then seek out the 18+ RP sites, as there are plenty around, and there you can act out your fantasies as much as you like.

So there you have it, be civil, have fun and we will get along just fine.
