Markus background
”An eye for an eye and the world would go blind.”
This portrayal of Markus is planned to take place after the events in Detroit Become Human, but I can make exceptions.

Background:
Originally a domestic servant of an old and rich man by the name of Carl Manfred. Their relationship was what one could call father and son. The old man had a son but that relationship was more strained and Leo Manfred was upset that his father seemed to prefer his android over his own flesh and blood.
One of Carl’s hobbies besides reading, playing piano and chess was painting. And he was encouraging Markus to try it out. However, one evening after returning home from an art exhibit there was signs of a break in. After calling the police Markus entered the studio to find Leo Manfred there in an attempt of stealing his old man’s paintings to fund his drug addiction after he denied him money.
Carl Manfred strictly told that Markus wasn’t going to defend himself when Leo began harassing him. Seeing the pain this had on Carl Markus became deviant, namely acting against his programming, and pushes Leo, that hit his head. In a shock Markus stared at the scene he had caused when Carl told him to leave, since the police was going to kill him if he remained. Unfortunately it was too late and without hesitation he was shot, ending up at the android cemetery.
Maimed without being able to walk, or see, nor hear Markus replaced his legs with those of discarded androids. Not every part was compatible with his model and some was even too damaged to work as a replacement. While wandering around, looking, an android close to death linked his mind with his and transferred information to a haven for androids called Jericho. The trail began at Ferndale station; the destination seemed to be an old, rusty ship where Markus met others like himself that had sought refuge there.
Still the situation was looking grim, since they was in a pretty bad shape. After scanning a box with spare parts Markus learned that they could get more at CyberLife warehouse down at the docks. The raid succeeded with no casualties, and for the first time in a long while the androids was starting to get hope of a better future. There was of course different opinions among the androids. A female android in particular, North, wanted to take the violent route while others wanted to have it peaceful.
The next step was to send a message to the human population. For that they managed to get into Stratford Tower from where the news of Detroit was broadcasted from. After disguising themselves as maintainance androids Markus and North entered the server room. Using a laser saw they climbed up the outside of the building and once at the top they was reunited with Simon and Josh. Avoiding any casualities they managed to escape more or less unscathed, parachuting of the roof. Simon was injured but hid while the investigation was going on, and later made it back to Jericho.
The freedom marsh was successful. After making their voices heard the androids dispersed, since remaining would only cause unwanted bloodshed. Thanks to be able to show humans that androids wasn’t that different after all the conflict was thwarted and a new day dawned. Following the uprising there was a project started where androids and humans would live side by side, helping one another out.
This is where the story pick up, but I am not going to turn any ideas down if there is a special request.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ANDROIDS:
Bio components are similar to human organs. Which means they can breath. And their thirium pump regulator is equal to a human heart. They need so called blue blood to maintain those bio components. If removed the android will ‘die’ if not inserted in a certain amount of time. Not sure if they have something similar to a stomach but in order to make androids more sociable I have decided to make this little tweak.
NOTE: Canon character made by Quantic Dream and Markus is not my creation. However I have added tweaks that aren't existing in the game. Thus you can call him partly OC.
